OK iM probably 6 years out of date, I run an s cable from my vid player or dvd or sat box into win tv usb ..... prob 6 years old.... I get movie maker up and from there I can make vid clips

there must be a better way .. new software Im wondering, could I avoid my sat box altogether and put the sat cable straight into the win tv box ?

Hey can you guys help me? I got a full HD led monitor which I use for my xbox. But is also my pc monitor. I understand that you have to have 2 monitors, one to play on with your xbox/ps3 and one to record with on your pc. I got also a tv monitor but that is a big ugly not HD monitor. Just to play on with av and not with a hdmi cable. So if I buy a capture card and play with my xbox on that ugly monitor and I use the led monitor for my pc the quality won't be good because my tv sucks, isn't it?

Okay I have a winTV HVR 1600 and the slot on my motherboard isnt the right size. My old computer fit it fine, but my new HP with windows 7 doesnt have a the right slot to fit it. What the fuck how do I make it work?

Find someone who is extremely good with computers & has experience building them, ask them if they will switch the motherboards.. Although chances are, if you switch your current motherboard with your previous one.. you'll lose system performance.. either way if it doesn't fit you'll have to get a new motherboard or find a different TVtuner.

Yes, but there are alot of other methods.. This one doesn't support HD only SD

The Hauppauge HD PVR can record games in HD but costs about $200

The Pinnacle Dazzle 170 DVR can record games in SD & is alot cheaper than the Hauppauge HD PVR..

This TV tuner is similar to my capture card. I have a Win TV Happauage TV tuner but mine is external. Internal TV tuners can make your PC overheat. External ones doesn't overheat your PC.

This is a tuner card. You plug your normal cable wire into that box he showed. You plug a usb cable from that to your computer. You can then use your computer monitor as a tv.

You do not need a special antenna for digital tv. Do not listen to anyone that say so. use the one that came with your tv. If you want to record and watch HD-TV then you will have to buy a HD Television and a HD antenna.

PS. you can use any antennta to watch digital tv, the problem is your antenna has to be positioned in the right place and if you have tall obsticles in your area they will block the DTV signals. The best thing is to be on the top floor of a high rise building.
