i found thrushes on pandora, and i couldn't find any of their albums on any bit torrent sites. then i see that this video has only a couple thousand views. have i actually stumbled upon something before it becomes popular? should i jump on the bandwagon now before there actually is a bandwagon? should i make this my profile song on myspace? please answer these questions immediately. more is lost with no decision than is lost with bad decisions.
Thrushes come from Baltimore and this track was their first single back in '07. They've released one album, from which this song comes, as well as a remix EP of 'Heartbeats'. They are currently working on the follow-up. And yes, they have a myspace and you should most definitely make this your profile song.
there are many things wrong with your query, bud. If you like this band, who cares whether or not they're the "next big thing." If you like this band than by all means put it on your profile, whatever than means. You shouldn't base who you listen to based on how popular it is, if I did that than my musical tastes would be very limited.
Well, it may not be a matter of having some sort of credibility or avoiding looking like a "poser." I can relate to feeling like I've found something really special by knowing about an underground band. It's like watching a child learn to walk. You've got something young and beautiful, and it's exciting to watch it go wherever it ends up. It sure beats watching an established band crash and burn!
Fabulous music and another excellent video. Thrushes are a brilliant band and I hope they get the success they richly deserve. Thanks for posting another gem.
Yep, first thing I thought of as well. Although the beginning (before the vocals come in) also sort of reminds me of "Ceremony" by Joy Division/New Order.
I just can't get enough of her voice. I'm gonna travel from P.A. to see you guys one of these days.

JAMC ripped the "boom, boom-boom pop" from the Ronettes. Openly. Hell, I think it's public domain at this point, isn't it?
