This game... I loved it. I remember trying to see if I could beat the whole thing before my game gear's horrible 4 hour battery life would be drained.
Nice job on this review. It is a cute, simple game. Have you ever completed the game? In my opinion, I think the ending is not much of a payoff after all those levels you go through.
@heartofmusic27 Yeah, it's one of the earlier games I can recall finishing and it's true that the ending wasn't all that impressive. Though I would probably be a little more worried or feel a little violated if I woke up like that.
The final level was pretty rough - especially the auto-scrolling route. Been a while though... even this vid was three years ago and that will be the last time I went through it xD
I like how Nintendo consoles were getting the tie-ins to series, like Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, Ducktales. For Sega though, there were many unique projects. Castle/Land/Legend of Illusion as well as Quack Shot, Lucky Dime Capers and Deep Duck Trouble are examples of non-tie-in concepts made for being videogames.
I'm sorry but not every platformer is a mario clone.
