I doubt a clone would likely brick and the chances are slim most likely or else their be lotta brick ds out there. I have a clone myself and you can check one of my video it displays that clone works :) video, manga reader. Mainly I just worry about the expose pins compare to a real cart the fact that you may leave dirt on it with your fingers thus creating heat.

While the specs guarantee massive sized microsd cards, there are multiple forums stating that the largest size that works without a hitch is 4GB. 8GB cards will work up until they reach their 4GB limit.

ok lets see if this helps.ther are 2 types of r4s. r4 and the r4 sdhc. r4 can hold up two

2gb and the sdhc can hold up to 32gb.but the sdhc can run on the sdhc card that are better for some way but a flaw is that you can only usully find cards up two 8gb.and that you must find a diffrent kind of advanced firmware to use the sdhc cards on the r4 sdhc,and the new r4 isnt made by the original makers of the r4.i have a regular r4 and its awsome so yeah i dont trust the new one.hope i helped.

R4 III isnt a clone , the R4 team disbanded and R4 III has the software developers while teh original R4 team does not.

The MicroSD Card? What do you mean? Do you mean Can you use a Micro SD from a camera, phone, or any appliance? Yes you can. It can be any size from 4 GigaBytes to 32 GigaBytes. I recommend 4 GigaByte Card. I've never tried it, but I think you can ONLY have the files for R4, and not a phone or camera on the card at one time. It might corrupt the actual R4 Card itself.

Fakes brick your DS. Clones do the same thing except with diff. SD Card or Firmware. Clones still work great. I'm using it like a charm. And my DS doesnt heat up from this!

How to add themes? Easy. Just go into the "-System_" folder and make another folder called "themes". Then, in that folder make 12 more folders called theme01, theme02, theme03, and so on UP TO theme12. Place your themes inside those folders.
