A plunge protection team would explain why you see the market go up on days where the economic news is all bad. Lately,in particular, you see the market go up hundreds of points, sometimes rallying from hundred point deficits, but you go to the financial news sites and most of the stories are about serious deep cracks in the economic system emerging or getting worse.
What do you think? A rate cut tomorrow? I wonder if the PPT hasn't been making calls to investment bankers and soverign wealth funds in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Singapore, China...to buy stocks today with a promise of a rate cut tomorrow. Likely?
Free market capitalism died the day the Fed started setting interest rates. Interest rates should be set by teh amount of savings, not a random decision made by beauracrats. When beauracrats set rates, it is known as central planning.
This is possibly the most useless video posted on youtube. Get a life man.

In spite of my attempts, I can't get a lick of info on this presidential-created "plunge protection team"
How fitting that the team was established during the term of Mr. President "I did not have sex with THAT woman."
So anyway, how does this process work?
What determines how the "plunge protection team" buys, hold and sell stock? Seems like it'd be too easy to get caught up in hanky panky here.

not sure if the last reply posted, but 3C is my personal indicator I use to determine accumulation/distribution. You can see more of it at my site.
