Christ' Hitchens' books aren't hoisted to the top by free-market forces. There's no great hue & cry by the public for what he produces. His books fit the agenda of the tax-funded public library system which ALWAYS champions books & films that promote degeneracy, Marxism and ruination. One needs only to read a local paper to see that the slant of every feature favors cultural Marxism: collectivism, aborticide, internationalism, sacred victims' groups, thought-crime laws & Earth worship.

Hitchens was a Legend. A Fate only Bestowed upon the few and Fortunate. He Destroyed all the Religious Zealots he ever Debated and effortlessly uncovered their foolish and childish arguments. He exposed their Bigotry with ease. He fought Tirelessly for the Freedom of speech and Democracy. Many silly Americans (apperently even the liberal ones) often think that every atheist will convert when times get tough, as though hardship proves the existence of a benevolent being.
I often think many christians are putting up a show; that they don't really believe the nonsense, but are afraid of a world without universal morals. I realise that my suspicions may be in essence the same thing as expecting rational people to convert.
