  • Hey its me! I got the engin, clutch, throto cable, and everything attached! I road it and it was so much fun until i stoped and gunned it full throto and the chain broke! LOL!!!

  • @allezsport2010

Cool. It's sounds like you may have had a bit a slack in the chain maybe before it snapped. Time for a new chain.

  • How long is zero to top speed

  • @allezsport2010

I'm not sure. I've never clocked it or timed it.

  • do you know how to get rid of chain vibrations ? i made one and its a rough ride the chain vibrates the whole frame i thought it was the engine but its not.

  • i'm building one with a 9hp Briggs very nice build

  • @killuall1234

Cool. Sounds dangerous. Thanks for watching.

  • shit that thing makes my pocket bikes look slow then again I only have 3hp on each, thinking of a dirt bug for fun, so much easier to work with, and 4 stroke, maybe throw in a sach's rotary while im at it

  • @Disneyfan5150

    Thanks for watching.

  • how fast does the doodle beast go? were you going full speed in this vid?

  • Comment removed

  • how fast do you think i will go with a 7 hp subru with no governer

  • @OGKILLa9365

    Probably 45 to 50 MPH

  • i made one, it hauls ass. front end lifts with ease if you lean back. pretty nuts

  • so if i go to pepboys and buy this thing and i have a 10.5 engine brand new in the box i would hit about 90

  • @crazykidrj

They don't sell this style model doodle bug anymore. They have changed the frame style quite a bit for 2011. Not sure if the motor will fit inthe new one.

  • @paisteboy motor fits but you have to remove the gas tank, I have mine on top of the frame

  • @ryansdad1000

    OK. Good to know. Thanks.

  • i was offered $400 and one of these for my 110cc pit bike. should i take it?

  • @bendirkss

It depends how much the pit bike is worth. I would say if the minibike has the 6.5 HP motor change on it and is is in very good condition, then the minbike is worth 4 to 5 hundred by itself.

  • @bendirkss yes its awsome

  • how much faster do you think it goes after the upgrade, im really looking into it but im not sure if i should put it twards a pocket bike or just upgrade my mini bike

  • @JDOG1151994

I think the stock motor went around 20 MPH and the 6.5 HP motor makes it go about 40 to 45 MPH.

  • is it street legal?

  • @hemas111

No. It's not street legal, but none of my neighbors have called the cops on me so it's all good in the neighborhood. Thanks for watching.

  • @paisteboy mine do alot its sucks

  • I just bought one of those HF engines on sale and with a coupon for $99.99..... My current minibike is a Ruttman Toad with a 5hp Tecumseh. It is a lot of fun but the road clearance sucks. The rims are only 4in. The sprocket scrapes the road if i corner to hard..... So, I'm planning on doing similar project. I may or may not use the DB frame. After watching I'm very intrigued to do so, though. Thanks for the awesome how to. I will most likely be using some of you ingenuity.

  • @frank48164

You're welcome. Good luck and have fun. Thanks for watching.

  • i took my governor off my doodle bug with the stock motor and it goes 35 mph. but i also bored it out. how fast does that go?/

  • eliminate the governer.. strait pipe it.. and take that air cleaner box off... then maybe it will b fast...

  • @TheJk9091

That would make it faster. It already does about 45 MPH with me on it. I may remove the governor this spring. Thanks for watching.

  • @paisteboy whats the gear ratio?

  • @TheJk9091

I'm not sure, I've never counted the teeth on the rear sprocket. The clutch is a 12 tooth and the rear is the stock doodle bug sprocket.

  • @paisteboy I just bought one of these today with a 6.5hp engine for $150 the throttle is a little loose I think because it goes forword slightly and I had to buy a new clutch for $67 tax included. It seems to have lots of power but I havent and enough space to see.

  • @ImPopinFresh

Cool. Sounds like you just need to adjust the throttle cable. It will be fast and powerfull with the 6.5 HP motor on it.

  • @paisteboy Me and my dad figured out why the clutch wore out, it was because the shaft was not long enough so we added a washer on the end to extened it so the new clutch should not ware.

  • @ImPopinFresh

If that is the case you must not have the same motor as I do because the shaft is more than long enough. You make a video of it. I'm interested to see what you're talking about. Glad you fixed the problem though.

  • @paisteboy I will try to make one soon the snow is suposed to melt tomorow hopefully it snows a lot shortly after so i can still snowmobile. I havent really tested the mini bike because i was only able to drive it around a warehouse when I was buying it.

  • @ImPopinFresh

OK. If you make the video let me know.

  • Think your neighbour out by the bin wanted a turn....lol.

You the man PAISTEBOY...Thumbs up here!!!!.

  • @Rotaswagga

Yeah, I'll ask him if he wants to ride it in the spring. Thanks for watching.

  • Hey im having some trouble with my doodle bug (i think) whenever i run it the chain hits the chaingaurd a ton!! and it is making an etched groove into the guard. Idk if that is normal or not.

  • @skparma

Sounds like your chain is loose most likely from stretching. If you have room to adjust the chain tensioner you can make it a little bit tighter. Don't over tighten it though. It should not feel stiff if adjusted correctly.

  • i own a few minibikes none this new id just like to say thank you for taking the time to show the younger generations a few things that wont get them in trouble i appriciate it keep up the good work

  • @tyler1234040

    Thanks.

  • @MarcfromTreasureNet1

    I already own one.

  • are you a midget?

  • @robertroach20 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAAA!!!!!!!!

  • Nice job, I'm going to try putting a 125cc dirtbike engine in mine

  • @worldcrap12

Thanks. Is that a 125cc 2 stroke motor that you are talking about. If so it will have way to much torque. Thanks for watching.

  • For adults that motor change is a must,,,and this guy shows you how to do it!!!

  • do they make street tires for the doodle bug?

  • @marlo916

Baja Motorsports doesn't make any street tires that I know of, but you can get after market tires and rims that will fit hre frame.

  • hey where did you get the motor from my friend just gave me his but the mototr is broken so im gunna do the same thing you just did thanks man

  • @tegu12345

I bought the engine at Harbor Frieght. You will also need a new clutch because the 6.5 HP engine has a 3/4" shaft. The clutch is a 12 tooth clutch for a #35 chain and will cost you anywhere from 30 to 50 dollars. I bought mine locally and it's a max torque. Thanks for watching and check out my Doodle Beast Minibike 6.5 HP Motor Change series if you haven't already.

  • that looks pretty fun

  • That thing rips along pretty good.

  • why dont you order the hydraulic brakes?

  • @cat123456789101

I just may do that. Any recommendations on where to get them?

  • @paisteboy ebay:)
