  • "They were cones."

  • Seriously? the ths are The ONLY semi good alighned beings in the Lovecraft Cosmos! I, CTHULU EAT URE YOUR MADENED SOUL THROUOUT ETERNITY FOR YOU SMAL MISTAKE!

  • Bow before the Great Race of Yith!

  • Now there's a side of the Great Race I've never seen before. I guess even Lovecraft aliens need to unwind.:-)

  • I shall play you the song of my people.....

  • "Click Click Click"

    Translates too...

    MORE BASS

  • I thought it had four eyes... at least it knows how to party.

  • lol XD still i hate this game such a fucking waste of money and time

  • You gotta love it :)

  • Great :D:D

  • Woohoo! Great to see the Yithians Boogey Down!

  • dont you think yitians need to dance from time to time too?

  • Indeed they should!

  • who knew yithians can dance?

  • Yithians... too bad they don't have their mind swapping machines. They'd get you into the game.

  • id like to see the dunwitch horror on spore, to lazy to make myself

  • @Stickletickle It'd be a blank screen! ;)

    (Same with a Star Vampire!)

  • @GoblinXXX actually I think you could fudge it a bit, since they do turn bright red from drinking human blood, I've got an illustration of one in a Call of C'thulhu RPG book so someone could potentially fudge up a star vampire in spore. just colour it red I guess

  • Heheh, it'd be a star vampire with diabetes, who can't properly digest his food. (I think the COC game vastly over estimates their size, though-- In SHAMBLER FROM THE STARS, the thing flies in through a window and drains a guy in a normal sized room. Chaosium has them as big as polar bears, some the size of buses!

  • Just imagine playing the game and suddenly youre IN the game....thatd suck

  • the yithians have created this game to resurrect their race and you have succeeded!

    Humanity is saved!!!

  • Huzzah!

  • Great stuff! You know when a Lovecraftian Spore creation is good when you could look at it and immediately kjnow what it is. That there is a damned near perfect Yithian. Good work!

  • Yay! Dancing Yithians! XD Are they available for download?

  • awesome. seriously -this is the main reason i want to buy this game - just to make Lovecraftian creatures :)

  • I t looks very much like a yithian

  • Very similar to the descriptions of Yith! Congratulations!

  • .....the gay dance XD

  • They look so cheerful and happy

  • Not so cheerful when the formless spawn open up shop on the same planet :D

  • Have they already gone to war?

  • Lol, humanity was a bio-weapon devised by the great race of Yith to destroy the formless spawn in Lovecraft's universe.

  • This is why this video is perfect to visualize how the great race looked like, however it does not describe the evil character and the might of this race...whatever

  • Actually I never really got the feeling that the Great Race of Yith were really all that evil, at least not compared to the other Lovecraft critters. They were just alien and indifferent to humans, in the same way we are indifferent to , say, attack dogs ?

  • What would you recommend a newcomer to the Lovecraft works to read? I like the whole Cthulu Mythos and would like something along these lines... with Elder Gods and Necronomicon type shit.

  • I would probably start them on one of the anthologies, especially including some of the core canon such as Call of C'thulhu, Shadow over Innsmouth, and the Dunwich Horror.

  • Charles, are you serious about them being evil? Of all the dozens and dozens of races and creatures, the Yithians are probably the absolute most friendly toward humankind of all! Next to the Fungi from Yuggoth or the Deep Ones they're practically a race of Mother Theresas!

  • Actually, Lovecraft never constructed the different beings in his novels as either evil or good entities. The Yithians would however be the race most inclined to help the human race if it would benefit them in some way, seing as their goals are not wanton destruction, but the search for knowledge and understanding.

  • @HeliosCore Yeah, and the most harm they seem to do is accidentally driving the occasional mind-swapee crazy or amnesiatic.

  • @EpicurusThirteen You do know mother Theresa was an evil cultist? Read any of her critics or nuns that worked with her. Heck, even the Nobel prize acceptance speech gives some clue.
