  • Simpy amazing to watch Jeff play. The tone and playing style of Gilmour purely on this one. Blind and all, Jeff plays better than most guitarist that can see ... probably like 95% ... and with feeling. Jeff pretty much plays his guitar like a piano ... an interesting note. -rjd

  • Хили лучший - никто ТАК не играл блюз, как он

  • where is ian gilan?

  • @l0b1z0n You don't see Ian Gilan? Ok, you are blind... but please don't cry !

  • way cool! RIP Jeff Healey.

  • Alguien podría bajar el tema cuando se canto en el concierto del 6 de abril de 1972 en Quebec, Canadá, Gracias.

  • if anyone can hint me in which year was the performance????

  • who is the drummer here?

  • Like B.B. King, the master Ritchie Blackmore in the original song plays not very much notes - but the right ones.

No one so far has equalled that.

  • Fantastic Jeff you are great!

  • the best!!

  • Brilliant. No more words to describe those genious

  • Ritchie is my whole life, but this was......WOW :) JUST WOW,I never expected something so nice

  • Ian is to me what Ritchie may be to you. Ritchie has lost a lot of my respect over the years. Now he has lost his mind thinking he is living in the 16th century. But true, this is a great song....great voice and wow, to have jeff Play this song was a great idea...fantastic.

  • @66Childintime haha XD yeah blackmore playing his lute,,, quite fun

  • @ThelwEnaFiga well why is richie playing garbage?

  • The Deep Purple studio version of this song is good, but that's all it is. This song was NEVER performed Live by Ritchie. Satriani and Morse have done brilliant live renditions Live, but this is by far the best I've heard, and I love Ritchie, but the studio version is only ok. Imagine what Ritchie could have done Live, but never did... R.I.P. Jeff!

  • ¡¡¡¡¡¡ Jeff is God ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ Ian Gillan is the best singer in the world ,for ever .lol.awesome.¡¡¡

  • maaan, this guitarist is god!

  • oh dear god "when a blind man cries" thats what Healey´s doing.

    R.I.P see ya in heaven.

  • @marcusmalmros I half agree, thats how any good soul wailing guitarist cries, that one just happens to be blind

  • Maybe great playing, but no one so far touched Blackmore`s few notes on the original.

  • Yes you are spot on IMO. And dare I say, much as I like SM, (not talking about JH)he takes the soul right out of it, compared with RB.

  • Great stuff. Steve Balsamo says Gillan is the best to sing Gethsemane, even though i think SB is awesome. I've started getting in to Gillan more. He is bloody brill..... B x

  • For me ted neeley is the best to sing Gethsemane...Ian Gillan great, great singer, but Jesus Christ superstar is Ted Neeley forever...

  • Most would agree Ted is the best ..on screeen, but on stage, Balsamo is considered by Lord A Lloyd Webber himself as the best . he chose him after all, to play the JC role in the West-End. No argument from me, Ted is brill, but look Steve Balsamo up, his superb emotional, gut wrenching performance will make you weep, Webber wept anyway. Balsamo is an amzing live artist, seen him enough times, Gillan ,is just an awesome individual. Lucky for us, we have a lot of talent in our midst. !

  • this is a treat to see gillian and jeff together

    imagine gillan and stevie ray

jeff and stevie ray were awesome together check them out on the tube

  • The irony of Jeff Healey playing that song, and knowing that now that man has laid to rest... Shivering...

The only similar shiver I can recall is listening to "When The Crowds Are Gone" of Savatage, knowing that Criss laid to rest a few years later...

    R.I.P.

  • Jeff Healey died of cancer on 2nd of March 2008,

  • and he supposed to come to sweden in april and i should go to see him i bought tickets and all

  • When did jeff die,and how,i never knew.

  • he got eye cancer when he almost was 1 years old and that was why he died

  • Great Song and sad too...

    RIP Jeff Healey!!!

    He was good Artist!!!!

  • Thanks! timeless! r.i.p mr giutar jh your tone lives on! clearwater beach

  • Fuckin' MASTERPIECE !!!!!!!

  • tears my heart apart

  • Who would have thought a Purple tune written so long ago would have had so much meaning today.

    Cheers, Frazzo.

  • RIP Jeff xx

  • gillan + healey

    w w w . deeppurpleforo . c o m

  • This really tears my heart apart, it' so touching.

  • Verry good recourding of the sound and picture. Gillian sings good but bloody hell what he are figthing to sing that good.

  • How did I miss this???

    Sh.t...

  • just so good....thx squint666

  • Gillan looks like his head's going to explode.

  • It doesn't matter how does he look like.More important for me is how great is he singing after so many great years on the stage(he has over 60 years!).

Sorry if it's to personal opinion:)

  • I was there! Great concert!

  • Lots of respect to Jeff Healy!

    He is a great guitarplayer...

  • He has a great voice, I like it

  • The guitar is on him surely?:)

  • Hey, the guy on the guitar is fucking amazing!!!!

  • superb!!!

  • Glad to see Healy back on guitar. The trumpet did nothing for me.

  • thats a saxaphone idiot

  • he was talking about Jeff Healy's own band the Jazz Wizards, and he plays trumpet with them....

  • Hmm, i dont even remember posting that comment. ah well, at least that's that sorted then. sorry bout the mistake.

  • Awesome!

  • Amazing, absolute.
