  • Akai (MPC), Yamaha (Motif), Roland (Fantom), Korg (Triton)... etc... ALL are Japanese music production devices.

Respect from Poland my Japanese friends. The whole world is thankful for these machines.

Sick beat btw. U skilled bro.

  • A I gotta fanotm as a slave to my mpc When i hit the record on the mpc the fantom starts to record but I dont get sound from the pads on the mps only the fantom any suggestions?

  • @twinsity Change the fuction on the mpc from midi to drums

  • A I gotta fanotm as a slave to my mpc When i hit the record on the mpc the fantom starts to record but I dont get sound from the pads on the mps only the fantom

  • So you can loop sounds from your keyboard on the MPC?

  • is good beat tanks motif x6 tanks mpc 1000

  • Shiit sounds annoying !!

  • why have both when a motif already has sampler???? so what would u use mpc for that u couldnt for motif?

    please help!

  • @hallal55 imho... i preffer the sequencing steps on the mpc better.dont get me wrong the motif would get the job done.but i think u can manipulate the sounds with the mpc better.sampling, loading ur own unique sounds etc.... much easier and quicker. every body thinks diffrent so they would probably disagree with me.plus if the mpc ever takes a dump on u,the sequenceron the motif is still there.oh ya plus i prefer tracking out with the mpc better.hope any of this helps.....

  • @raaudio2 oh okay... hmm im gonna try look for a fantom x6 play around with that and a mpc... in meantime ill probably buy a padkontrol just to get the feel of pads

but then again i like hardware better than software

if i get an mpc its prbably gonna be a mpc1000 are those well?

  • @hallal55 1000 is good...i like them...i have the 2000xl my self... look around take ur time. go to ur local music shops and play with their mpc if they have any.guitar centers usually have them on display and if they dont their pretty good on hooking one up for u.if u plan on getting an mpc work on getting a sound library.u can never have to many sounds.

  • @raaudio2 do you know a good site or place i can get sounds?

  • great work !

  • nice work man

  • Are you using the sequencer in the ES6 or in the MPC when you record keyboard? If you're using the MPC, how are you quantizing the notes? Thanks.

  • those weird sounds at the end were a little too much, but that beat is pretty sick man.

  • How do you Midi the Motif to the MPC? I have a MPC 2500 and Im buying a Motif in 2 weeks...

  • @PuCCiPuCCe Depends on how you want it set up....so many options. You could have both of them use their own sequencers and just have one slaved up. or you could use the sequencer on just one of them....or get a midi interface and use a DAW to be the sequencer for both the motif and the mpc. it also depends on the type of music you are creating bc the MPC's ppqn is like 96 and the motif's is probalby 480 which means greater resolution...if you don't use quantize too much on things like piano

  • @UnsungHero913 You know what though, when I slave the Motif to the MPC and I hit record on the MPC, it doesnt record on the Motif, I guess Im just using the Motif as a sound module or whatever its called, I have another problem, I can only use 3 to 4 instruments...When I get 4 to 5 or more sounds, the volume on the Motif decreases...

  • @PuCCiPuCCe you could have the mpc be the slave to the motif so when you hit play the mpc's sequencer starts as well. or the other way around....what all are you wanting?

  • @UnsungHero913 I ghat damn wanted the Motif slaved to the MPC...but I have to have 2 Midi cables, now, I got everything hooked up...and I even have it running through Pro Tools slaved to PT...I think Im good now, I went on a couple of forums and looked up how to set up the Motif and the MPC...but sometimes my Motif doesnt sync up

  • bangin man u got one nice setup der bro. I been software for a while but im thinkin of coppin dat MPC 2500 LE.

    Respect from UK man

  • yeah!

  • I would like to see how he put that into protools. Good Video

  • protools?

  • its perfectly possible ,, its just a bitch to edit it later on since he put the kick and snares in 1 track , so all effects etc will work on both ! ofc. i can be wrong , and if so i appologize :D

  • nice beat man - if you are intrested in watching more mpc videos please feel free to subscribe to our channel its for people like you and people who love these videos & like to learn new techniques.

  • Nice vid thanks for making it. I have 2 questions. When playing a beat from the keyboard to the mpc, all you have to do is hook the midi out from the keyboard to the midi in on the mpc for it to record right? And then how do I take the track made on the mpc and put in on my laptop? (I use fl studio). If you could answer back I appreciate the time. Thanks.

  • to answer your 1st question correct

to answer your second question..no clue...you should use pro tools or reason....thenn i could kinda be able to explain...

  • no he cant record anything in reason....i would go with adobi audition ..cuz protools is a bit hard and has to have some equipments.

  • Cool stuff. If you can put all that together you could do soundtracks too. Have you ever thought of trying to get into the soundtrack circuit?

  • It was dope until you kept adding to it...you were done at 7 min

  • Can you tell me what is the larger piano's makeer and type and the same with the smaller one. Also kepp up the good work.

  • Yamaha and Korg...Motif and Microkorg...Why buy the same sucky gear everybody has? Get one EXCELLENT synth, instead of three mediocre ones...

  • word

because i would like to make sound just like you

    thank you

  • its a motif es6.. do your homework better before asking..

  • nice skills dude

  • Actually, ice cube pretty much writ all of NWA's rhymes until the split up, Eazy-E was trynna make he was the only one doin shit on his album (with dre producing and ice cube writing all the songs).. but they're all legends... so shut the fuck up, be happy and enjoy the music lol...

    Also, nice beat Jah

  • Usain Bolt! lol, just playin. great work

  • nice beat

  • yo did you use midi sync?

  • I wont hide Im jealous of that yamaha stuff man great sounds I jus luv 'em. Check what I squeezed off the Reason 3 and leave a comment whatcha think. thanks Bro for constructive criticism and keep it up. 1 luv from durrty hoods of Poland East Europe

  • if fink u should change the snare to a clap then add some reverb on the mpc

  • keep hip hop alive no snaps or claps

  • snaps and claps are part of hip hop. look at the west coast in the 80's they been using claps like on eazy e's boys in the hood

  • yea but eazy e's like the most non lyrical...i mean i like his music but look at that song theres nuthing hip hop about it...he didnt even write it...

  • naw n.w.a was hip hop. they werent crunk or pop. they contributed to west coast hip hop's standing and dre's production built a foundation

  • u cant be hip hop sayn somebody elses lyrics.

thats what eazy e was doin. he is a legend but if somebody did what he was doing now theyd get dogged on for it...

  • he wrote most of his shit, ice cube wrote boyz in the hood. u gotta remember that was a different era. west coast hip hop was just geting put on. so as an artist he was rhyming for a whole coast. now people are just claiming they write and they dont

  • No matter who wrote eazy's shit it wasnt that good ive heard some of his songs wheres some bars dont even rhyme. n wether there barley gettin put on or not doesnt make it rite to say somebody elses lyrics.

  • like i said it was a dif era, you cant compare rhyming mechanics of today to the 80's. he opened doors along with ice t

  • ur wack...krs one said him self sellin ur lyrics is wack. its not just now. n ice t is garbage.

  • damn now we traded insults now. krs one gets respect, but he aint the god of hip hop. eazy e opened doors so that artist better than him in the west could get on. ice t isnt wack, he was one of the original gangster rappers, he basically put the west coast on

    ur opinion vs history

  • u must be from california to be on eazys dick and have complete lack of respect for krs one whos 10s better then someone like eazy e. n yea bro ice t is garbage. my opinion is the truth urs is just ridin the west coast

  • im from the east coast. opinion isnt truth. ur tryin to take away from eazy e. krs is important and i never disrespected him. but u cant dis eazy

  • eazy didnt really do that much think about it what got him hot was boyz in da hood...dr dre produced it n ice cube wrote it ...he was basiclly a puppet instead of eazy us should be givin dre n cube credit ...

  • you gata get yourself a fantom man

  • yo man is that eddie murpy theme to 48 48 hours i know that from some where mane good work bro.

  • what are your bpm's/tempo on this song?

    awsome beat

  • Nice equipment

    but a bad beat

  • People go to hardware for the work flow or because they want everything in an all in one solution

not for "warmth" or for "more features"

LMAO you people are so dumb.

    Peace

Fruity Loops is used for lots of major label projects so stop talking shit lol.

Chase N Cashe is using Fruity Loops and he did a single for an Atlantic artist and now hes working with DIDDY.

FL doesn't keep you from making quality music. Only thing that can hold u back is your own abilities

  • kool beat, but i dont like people playing the track they made when the video starts,i like them beatmaking videos with diffrent elements, good beat tho,

  • The Motif and the MPC are a good combination, see, FL is good, I use it, but I just ordered an MPC 1000 today, and the quality, warmth, and overall sound on a hardware DAW is much better. Good beat, you got a unique sound

  • Quality is very debatable.

THere's no warmth on an MPC 1000.

The MPC 1000 is entirely neutral. If you're talking effects, you can get better effects in software

Overall sound? That has nothing to do with hardware or software.

You can get a fat, clean, thick sound in software.

If you think an MPC will make you a better producer than with FL you are delusional.

I know dudes who sold their MPCs after switching to Reason or Fl or Cubase or whatever you can think of

  • brah i been fuckin with FL for about a year. its okay, but i kinda like having a live feel, you cant get that with FL, analog is better on that tip. and dont call me stupid, maybe ignorant cuz i been fuckin with software and thats all i know, but what ive HEARD is that the quality usually sounds better when its sequenced in a MPC or hardware DAW. and 9th wonder uses FL? i didnt know that. he also doesnt fuck with synths very much am i correct? he also has an engineer with pro tools RIGHT? lol

  • Lol its called MIDI CONTROLLERS

9th uses synths. he plays over his samples (basslines, piano ,etc)

nothing sounds better sequenced on anything thats the biggest myth ever

the MPC1000 sounds the same as Fruity Loops, it doesn't make your shit sound good lmao

so what? pro tools? I know people that mix and MASTER (yes MASTER) all in Reason

its about the sound not what you use to manipulate it

lol "Quality sounds better on hardware" rofl

    Ohhkaaayyy

  • ay mang im not here to argue get over yaself. if you knew so much about making beats you wouldnt be talking shit over youtube.

  • yeah ok keep wasting money on hardware that doesn't make you doper lol...

  • brah im getting a roland fantom g8, im not even getting an mpc. dont knock it like its not a good sequencer though, because ive heard some dope tracks off it

  • cuzzo! dont let these haterz take u off yo grind....good trak man .your vid have been in my favorites for like 5 months it seems like....by the way peep my TIMBALAND NEKO ON MY PAGE HOMIE 1

  • He is Usain Bolt

  • lolol

  • Actually u can't do the same thing with fruity loops! You hit a stalemate at some point with fruity loops. Woring with a motif and mpc1000 2000 or whateva gives you more to work with. You can't work to your full potential with fruity loops. Thats a childs program. Be more innovative. In order to be spend some money on quality sound and quality equipment and make quality music.

  • nigga please

i know FL users that are way doper than you

    trust

  • U steady hollerin nigga please when u ain't neva heard any of my beats. Take it from a real musician with experience. 99.99% of producers with deals don't use fruity loops. I mean do you if thats what you feel comfortable on but take things to the next level. Listen to killbillakaNiteMare!

  • Fruity Loops users (off the top of my head)

9th Wonder, Dame Grease, Team Green (on Shawty Redd's label), Chase N. Cashe (on Polow Da Don's label),

    do I need more evidence?

Fruity Loops has a great sequencer and you can sample and use plugins. How is that limited? An MPC or Motif is limited. FL can use MPC swing templates, Motif sounds, anything. MPCs and Motifs are limited, more so than FL.

You're an idiot rofl. u have no idea what you're talking about.

    Skills > Equipment

  • not a bad tutorial...took me a while to figure out the MPC 1K...IF YALL WANT TO HEAR MORE ILL BEATS LIKE THIS, CHECK MY CHANNEL!! you will not be disappointed. peace. (this aint spam)

  • cool beat

  • exellent job on this 1

  • fl studio is awesome as a DAW the sounds suck but im nice at wit them sounds so werd

  • fuck all u whoz hatin. dis dat real shit right here. better then any mainstream beat.

beats nowadays all sound da same

  • this shit is wack the fucking drums suck

  • wack

  • you should put accepela of chocolate rain on top

  • goddamn tight shit gotta get one of those mpc

  • I don't know whether to get an MPC or a Motif for my next piece of equipment. Which one is more worthwhile????? Any opinions????

  • Get a roland fantom. It's like an MPC and motif all in one keyboard.

  • I need that keyboard that's the only way im gonna get to the next level

  • hey tight work man..

  • man dat was tight and im tied of usin fruity loops so im get a key board and mpc 1000

  • your really talented bro, i like that elephant sound its craaazy keep it up fam. p.s check out my videos peace

  • NICE! All I got is software & a computer keyboard. I love my software, but sometimes it kills the creative process. With hardware, you get to lay down your thoughts very quickly, keepin it fresh.

  • Nice beat and great talent!

Just wondering, what type of midi settings do you have set on the Motif in the utilities menu?

  • i need help.

im trying to do exactly what your doing which is playing live on the keyboard and adding drums with an MPC

i have a Korg Triton Le, and and MPC 1000

i wanna be able to like, just have my drum pattern playing and then just record me doing a melody on the keyboard... the ONLY sound i get coming from the keyboard to the MPC is when im in record mode on the mpc,

    any help?

the only output i have is coming form my headphones plugged into my MPC.

  • once u keep upgradin n upgradin ur gear ull need to know this audio stuff so bear wit me

reason why u cant hear ur triton live is cause MIDI SIGNALS DO NOT TRANSMIT AUDIO! thats why u only hear it in record mode. if u wanna hear both at the same time u would need a mixer. u would plug in all the shit u wanna hear to the inputs... then u would plug in ur speakers/headphones to the outputs. so if u had an 8 input mixer u could hear 8 pieces of gear all comin thru your speakers and/or headphones!

  • yea dog u nice u c im tryin 2....start makein beats my self so n e ways u nice

  • yo man i gotta question... u need a midi interface to sync that many keyboards with the mpc1k since it only has 2 midi ins n outs rite?

  • ah homie keep dion wut u doin. U tight.

  • feelin this jah.. how many bars is that..

  • nice dude sounds like a theme for shaft or sumtin lol

  • dude how much does equipment like that run you??

  • lots,,, He has a sick setup..

  • These price are all "AT the time"...i'm sure they are cheaper now. Motif es - $1999(Payment for Work on an Album) Mpc1k - $999 MicroKORG - $399 Laptop - $1599 Event Monitors(TR8) - $599(pair) Denon CDJ - $399 (Xmas Present) Mbox w/ Protools LE - $599(Gift) AT3040 Mic - $399 Pepsi - $1.00 Dual tape deck - had laying around the house. Keep Grindin' -KraZ
  • Oh and the Pepsi - $1.00

  • 1$ damn

  • I need some advice from anyone. If i have no actual musical backround, as far as reading and playing notes, but i have beats in my head that i want to get out, what should my approach be?

  • Maybe it's just cause I'm a poor kid but I think it takes an asshole to put a pepsi between a motif and a triton. Nice beat.

  • lol...but the top was on really really tight. doesnt that count? :)

  • yo ni99a beat waz tight! ni99a yo i like to use crazy soundz too i think it give a little modern twist to tha beat...yo tha waz nice keep doin yo thang keep posting videos....

  • yo is that a micro korg on the floor?

  • I really woulda like to hear some strings, instead of that piano, but thanks for the vid...

  • Yo...Im loving that sound, fuck yol kats is gona make me go crazy...shit madill dawg...keep em coming...How can a niggar get in touch to get a beat from you...hit me back...nyc 1

  • nice job on that pal

  • i loved that electric gutair but i didnt like the way you did you bass and claps but it was good though.

  • i noticed u own a korg triton and a motif es and what i wanna know is pound 4 pound which is the better keyboard if u had to choose between the two which 1 would you pick nice beat btw

  • hahahahahaha

  • nice.

  • this stuff is a lil corny

  • "Sometimes I just pick a random sound."

That's called a "preset," and it's a sign of severe lameness.

  • damn homie u black as hell i can only see ur eyes and teeth lol

  • thats my word i heard this melody somewhere before. did you sell this or something? if not, i don't know what to say.... but i heard it somewhere. wasn't it on the DVD that comes with the motif 6??

  • that shit was good

  • u need a rcord deal i mean the best is what u are

  • Hey i love the beatz homie real talk wanna do work? Hit me up at myspace/mikesontrak1

  • Just because he has the money to buy this stuff means he's a drug dealer, right. You must have never heard of getting a job before. You should get off your lazy ass and get one yourself.

  • you'll have to make another video... this was hot!!

  • yo dawg where can i hear this beat in better quality?

  • u have skills im only 12 and produce im looking up to u man!
