  • The LSJ ran the Lansing drive in editorial on Sunday september 11th 2011. You can read it on line. Please phone or Email me. I'm curious if you got some leads, or any. I Talked to Mr. Jerry Blackburn (Holt) for a few minutes, what an honor and joy. Says he might have a couple of snapshots, will call if found.. Thanks

  • 13,911 views! Wow! Thank you! For more drive in related videos, check out the RQVOutdoorMoovies Channel. Thanks!

  • Your camera work sucks. Do you know anything about lens apertures? It was way too dark. You could have lightened it up with video software.

  • @rick3925 How many drive in theaters have U documented? I'm sure they are all perfectly lit, you sound like a genius. I did the best with what I had.

  • Over 11,100 Hits! FANTASTIC!

  • That was a fun night...we even taped a happy couple. car shows are usually an easy shoot for me...but this had the added excitment of and anticipation of a possible brief interview with Paul LeMat and Butch Patrick. It all worked out fine, this is one of my favorite OUTDOOR MOOVIES segments ever. I'm now posting drive in theater etc. clips at RQVOutdoor Moovies...the RQV being REQUIRED VIEWING (1979 - 2007), my other public access show.

  • Hey gang, thanx for watching this video. My frind at michigan drive ins was kind enough to get me started here on the web. If you liked these 14 videos...there's more! Search for: MILES DRIVE IN, Cleveland, Ohio. Click and watch. It's short. That's my voice. To the right, click on More from RQVOutdoorMoovies and the party continues. I'll take you to several outdoor theaters and appreciate the occassional comments.

  • @RQVOutdoorMoovies why are you telling me that it's your voice ???

  • No. Some public access was actually quite good.

  • Not all public access was bad.

  • I never saw much public access but your show was cool. Eddie Munster was very nice.

  • A lot of people look down upon Public Access TV shows. I know that there is a lot of crap on those channels, but, Outdoor Moovies looks like it was a well put together show on one of my favorite subjects. I've never seen an old movie at a drive in. Amercan Grafitti must have come out in the early 1970's. The interviews were very cool, especially Eddie Munster and the American G. actor. The Capri has good management to book such events. I wish I had been there. Liked the Ron Howard comment!

  • Cool Video!

  • Cool Video! I'm looking forward to watching Part Two!

  • Thank you for posting this video! the CAPRI looks like a drive in that'll be around for a long time especially if they continue to have these kind of promotional events. It seems that when a drive in is owned and run by a family it has more character. Companies like National Amusements don't care. I also liked the idea of showing 35mm prints of classic films. I was too young to see American Graffiti at the theater when it came out, and the first time I saw it it was cut up for TV. Great video

  • @ariaphobia I've run into a few people who do not like the film, I have a hard time understanding that. I was a teenager when AMERICAN GRAFFITTI first came out, playing at the MERIDIAN 4. It played for a record 42 weeks! It is the ONLY time a movie has done this here. it never happened again (except weekly Rocky Horror). National Amusements treatment of drive in theaters is a sad story indeed.
