The birthplace of the Cyrillic script is actually Veliki Preslav, where the oldest Cyrillic inscriptions have been found.

@NikeBG In Macedonia, in Solun (Aegean Macedonia) and in Ohrid is created the alphabet which today is used by Millions of people around the world. :)

@Blad771 In Solun was created (by St. Cyril and St. Methodius) the Glagolithic alphabet, which today is used by no people and its latest use was in Croatia around the 19th century. ;)

The Cyrillic alphabet, on the other hand, was created in Veliki Preslav and that's where all the earliest Cyrillic inscriptions are, while in Ohrid all inscriptions from that time use the original Glagolithic.

Bila sam prošle godine dva puta u Ohridu i rado ću otići ponovno tamo. Cijene su puno niže nego kod nas na Jadranu, a ima toliko lijepih stvari za vidjeti.
