not piece of metal, a bullet....they were using a real gun with a rifled barrel and real bullets with powder removed but the primer still in, the primer was enough to push a bullet into the barrel lodging it there.
in the next scene they shot they used the proper blanks, a shell with powder and no bullet, only the bullet was in the barrel.....
with a stricktly blank firer there is no danger of injury unless its against your skull or are within 2 feet and its pointed at your eyeball
If yours is an American version, it has a "barrel block" so the burning gas/fire doesn't escape through the muzzle. It's pretty much like a wall in the middle of the barrel. I know, it sucks...

doing that on flesh would probably leave a burn, nothing as impressive as an apple because skin and flesh are so elastic they wouldnt get torn off in chunks.

Whether he (Brandon Lee) died from a barrel obstruction or from a bulleted cartridge that was accidentally placed in the gun nobody knows or is willing to tell. A true blank round contains a powder with a different pressure curve and is unsuitable for use as a propellant.

To do this, we had other characters surround the gunman as they struggled to block the audience's view and he held the gun next to the victim, pointed down. @SourLemonBanana The live primer on the dummy round caused a squib load the primer gave just enough force to push the bullets out of the cartridge into the barrel therefore the next shot fired would cause the projectile to be fired and thats what killed Brandon Lee it was just a freak accident. If you use black powder blanks they are perfectly safe to use. :-)

@faffaflunkie but most replicas are made of a zinc alloy which cannot take the pressure. and most cheap handguns arent converted from replicas because there is a lot of work involved, as well as money. and toys made in taiwan are made of plastic. if your talking about airsoft, thats made out of aluminum.

someone got killed this way.. i remeber my dad telling me a story about it. there was this guy who was drunk and put a blank desert eagle and pulled the trigger and it blow a good portion of his brains out. Cuz of the gasses that are rappidly expanding... idk somthing like that he told me this story a year ago?

It wouldn't kill you at point blank, but it would hurt like HELL and I would NOT recommend shooting any body point blank, maybe at a couple feet away it wouldn't reach them, but I wouldn't test it

The "hurt like hell" applies from INDIRECT hits. During a play, a character needed to have a revolver shoved in his gut and get shot. To do this, we had other characters surround the gunman as they struggled to block the audience's view and he held the gun next to the victim, pointed down. He still ended up with a burn on his arm from a tiny .22 blank not even aimed at him. Imagine if that had been pointed head-on.

@SourLemonBanana The live primer on the dummy round caused a squib load the primer gave just enough force to push the bullets out of the cartridge into the barrel therefore the next shot fired would cause the projectile to be fired and thats what killed Brandon Lee it was just a freak accident. If you use black powder blanks they are perfectly safe to use. :-)

@Peanutbutter585 not all of them, the ones they use in making movies have to have the muzzle flash so the barrel is not plugged. I want one to convert. I know what people are going to say..."that will blow up on you if you convert it", it will if you don't know what your doing but if you do then a blank gun can be converted and fire very safely.

True ekici123, but its actually due to people who can spell so they have time on their hands instead of learning to spell and use grammar (like you) so they do things like this and if you are stereo typing people based on 1 video that had nothing to do with what you are stereo typing them of, you fail, well played.
