This was by far the best guitar tutorial I've seen on youtube. Extremely clear and easy, the arpeggio Daughtry uses at the beginning of his version can be easily improvised too so I can see why you didn't include that.

is the g chord the same thing as the chord that daughtry plays but lower? cause the way he plays it he uses the c chord and goes up the frets. im not much of a guitar fanatic but the g chord sounds out of place

This is exactlyyy how Daughtry plays it. but this is a perfect rendition for beginner players.

To everyone saying how bad this song is, why are you watching the videos if you dont like it. Personally the Lady Gaga version of it was catchy the first few times, then it got over played. This version is better and speaks to a larger audience.

And by the way, I think you could play those chords without that bar on the 2nd fret, you can transpose even the C, Em and D chord using the barrè if you're good (CAGED method anyone?).

And let me add something: This song, 3 chords, millions and millions of profit, millions of fans. True music (classical, prog, rock etc.): tons of chords and true music, known by a few, underestimated. Open your eyes.

Dumb question- what does "play it for 2 measures" mean?

a measure is like the number of beats. say if an A chord to a B chord hv 1 measure, n 1 measure hv 4 beats. n every beat is a chord strike down. so 2 measures is 8 beats and strike the chords 8 times down. just an example.
