  • This is the most beautiful song I've ever heard. I dont care if I dont understand the lyrics, its just as beautiful without that knowledge.

  • You are a boss for doing this :'D I love legends and my curiosity needed to find this.

  • I loved this the first time I heard it.

  • is there anywhere i can get this downlaoded????

  • @thefutureofball youtube-mp3 org

  • Download link? Anyone?

  • it's just so hauntingly beautiful.

  • If you like this song try listening to Yoko Ono "Mulberry". You'll love it.

  • Can someone give me the lyrics? i want to sing this song and performe it for my Senior project

  • i may not understand the lyrics but it still makes you a bit sad.

  • Does anyone know the lyrics?

  • @Amiya0Kyuketsuki It's a song about child separation. I believe she sings the song because she lost her own child, as did many of the blind shamisen's of the time. It's very sad. Let me see if I can find the link.

  • The most beautiful thing I've ever heard in my life.

  • your kidding right i like the song but i still dont understand it it just sounds like moaning and yelling im not dissing it but i dont understand it

  • reminds me of home... thousands of miles away, but truly and surely that it exists.

  • Love This Song.

    Thanks for uploading it.

  • it's not enka they explained in the series its a different but similar genre called goze because sara is blind

  • No, a Goze is a traveling blind woman, usually a musician. I don't believe it is a style of music. But I may be wrong. I think in this context, Goze make enka

  • she sings like how a korean haegeum is played... very beautiful... *-*

  • this style of music is amazing. i just found out about it yesterday when i saw the first episode with mugen drowning the first time.

if it IS enka, which i dont know, there is a modern hip hop artist called Jero who is reviving enka in japan, check him out

    peace

  • Actually, the term enka is usually used to refer to music that incorporates more Western harmonies and instruments. If I had to guess, this might fall under one of the classical shamisen styles (kouta, nagauta, or jiuta) but since I've never heard the difference between them, that's JUST a guess.

  • It's called enka

  • most people find the voice annoying but i really like it it's so different from what i hear

  • how is it annoying, its beautiful, i like it a lot.

  • does anyone know the name of this style of vocal technique, or the name of the type of music this is? i'm looking for other examples but it seems pretty obscure. cheers.

  • This may actually be THE best song I've ever heard. The first time I heard it on Samurai Champloo I was instantly hooked. So beautiful.

  • And by the way, I managed to find this on mp3 on a web page so if you want it for your winamp just message me and I'll give you the link

  • Hello !

I'd be very grateful if you could give me this link you've managed to find, i've been searching for a place to download this beautiful song for ages in vain ! =(

    Thanks ! ^^

  • i want it!!! please please please!!!!!

  • Thank you so much! <3

nanto shouzo e doushi yo to

    aware nari keru shitai nari

    sate minnasama ni modonatani mo

  • OK, CD name is 遍路組曲

    song name is 平成娘巡礼期

I still cant find anywhere to download though

  • does anyone have any similar tracks like this in japanese? this is incredible

  • Thanks for posting. It seems everyone else has been searching for this song as well. It's a shame they didn't put the songs from episode 14 or 17 on the soundtracks either. I would love a compilation album with all of them.

  • thank you!!!

  • This always reminds me a little of Robert Johnson. Come into my Kitchen and Kuzunoha no Kowakare. Sure, why not?

A high water mark in a show full of awesomeness.

  • not being racist cause of my opinion, but Japanese by far have the best culture :)

  • They totally do...

  • yea, i think so too. lol, im'a black guy from the usa, but i find japanese and asian culture amazing

  • me too!!!!!!

  • agreed

  • Sara's so hawt. And so is her voice

  • Its THE most beautiful song I've ever heard and Im still trying to find it..But its nowhere to be find so I'll have to keep listening to it in the Samurai Champloo episode

  • thank you for putting this up! as you say its almost impossible to find thanks :)

  • Thanks for putting this together. I haven't found a recording of "Kuzunoha no kowakare"--not by Tsukioka Yukiko or anyone else.

  • I really wish that they put this on one of the albums.

  • where can i find this kind of songs? i really liked them when i saw the episode...

  • I've looked around but can't find anywhere to buy the complete song. If you like the singing, try Ikue Asazaki. If you like the instrument (shamisen), the Yoshida Brothers and Agatsuma are well known.

  • @Seppells try searching for minyo or minyou

its a form of music to be played in moorning someones death.

  • This is only the last two verses though o.o

    Lol, I love this song/poem.

  • i love this song! just wish i could find the words in english and japanese. :(
