Yes we truly spend money in inefficient way. Example are tank projects where eastern europeans spend on T72 upgrades, france on leclerc, uk on challangers, germans on tiger. Although I respect your opinion very much I think it is a strnage atitude for europe to rely so heavily on US defence (because we do whether we like it or not, a state of affairs i would like to see change) but then when the US wants our help in a defence issue most of europe turns a blind eye. If we want the continued protectionism of NATO we have to contribute I dont think its fair for the US and UK to take the Burden. Anyone who has been to afghan will perhaps see hsi point of view.

Yes we truly spend money in inefficient way. Example are tank projects where eastern europeans spend on T72 upgrades, france on leclerc, uk on challangers, germans on tiger. While US just one type - abrams. Let the germans create tank for whole europe, british ships for europe, frenchs aircrafts, italians vehicles, belgians excellent firearms. Untill these weapons would be for our defense I am fine with that. And it would be cheaper, more efficient.

It is true that the Taliban, or some other terrorist group, might retake control if we left, but the whole idea of my perspective is that if we don't engage with these people, then they'll have no reason to hate us, and therefore they won't be a threat to us. And I do believe that it it the responsibility of the Afghan to people to rid their own lands of any threats to themselves. Right now we're just wasting money and lives while fueling hatred.

To be perfectly honest there's no way to know what kind of a president he'll be when (if) elected. Guantanamo, torture etc. Though it's fairly obvious he's the better choice than McCain.
