Have you ever considered that the reason why you pig out on fruit is that your body actually wants those carbs? Most cravings do have sensible reasons behind them.
@DracoIsMyWhoreCrux I agree 100%. And blackberries are super healthy for you, fruit has very high nutrition per gram. EAT AS MUCH AS YOU WANT. I've eaten 2500 calories of fruit a day for 1 year and I don't exercise. I haven't gained any weight at all.
It is great you gave up that yogurt. To me it is not filling so it is a waste of calories. I do have 1/2 cup Cottage Cheese usually 2 percent and plenty of fresh or frozen fruit. I lose weight better if I cut back on the fruit though.
Have you ever tried the thick Greek yogurt? I can't think of the name brand that Raley's & Trader Joe's carry, but it's really good. We use it for some of our Turkish recipes.
I have a weird Greek here, he hates yogurt, even though his mother made the best ever.
I don't eat yogurt because it has less protein and more sugar than cottage cheese. I tried it this week only. I am happily back to my cottage cheese again.
You're an amazing person and such a great inspiration. I want to be a skinny B, too and hope to gear back up once I start my new job come Monday...yup, finally found one! It isn't a great job, but I'm hopeful it will pay my expenses - big pay cut, there. I'm looking to see how you design your eating plan - what's the cutoff for you on carbsSugars and why no milk products?
Milk products are too processed for me, plus they make me feel gross. Grumbling in the tummy stuff.
I do eat non fat cottage cheese and tried the yogurt this week. I will not be eating yogurt again.
I post a lot about my eating on my web sites, I plan to make some more videos about it too. My cut off for carbs is fairly high because I don't eat processed foods. It is 100 to 195. The are mostly fruit. I don't eat sugar or try not to.
and its pronounced ETTA-MOM-MAY and I love it, but just found out that its a starch! when I finally found a replacement for peas...I guess I have to acquire a taste for snow peas - they're ok, but I really, really, love popping the edamame:(
Thanks, I ate them frozen, couldn't wait. They were OK, maybe better with some spices added. I did notice they filled me up. That brand came in serving sizes 1/2 cup I think, great on calories. I will use them for an afternoon snack.
you know, I can see how you would lose the weight with the way that you eat. But I don't think I have the diciplne to eat that way consistently. I even want to cheat with Jenny craig and most of the food has variety, texture and color without having to count calories. Keep up the great work!!
BTW: I discovered sephora too, I use it as my 'reward' sometimes.
I eat what I love. I had to stop eating things that I knew were bad for me but left in all the foods that I have been eating for years. It seems so natural to me, I don't even have to think to much about what I eat anymore, except carbs in all the fruit I eat.
Maybe I should set up a reward for me, I have one, pay off the first cosmetics then I can charge more. Good reward :) I am so bad!!
How will you fix that fish?? What kind of excersise are you doing?? When I feel the need to excercise I start leaning my house lol except today I have to sit zand work opn income tax. One thing about excecising is it builds musclesand muscle weighs. so weight loss or lack thereof may be due muscleweight
The fish was pan grilled, sprayed with olive oil then kosher salt and fresh ground pepper. The fish and veggies then had lemon and butter sauce poured over them.
I am doing strength training exercises 3 days a week.
Hey, you can come here to clean house if you need more exercise :) I love a clean house but hate cleaning it.
Yay on the working out! My weakness is carbs also... When I look at my daily calorie logs I am quite lopsided... I must work on that. Did you buy everything a Trader Joes? Also, What was the Wasabi products? Love your hauls :)
Carbs are sooo darn hard to not live with. Yes, TJ's is on my store list. I shop at 4 places for groceries now.
The Wasabi is made my Ginger People and it is hot and wonderful. Lo cal too. They have a web site, you can order it online. A great dip for chicken, yum
Thanks for sharing. I dont like those little premade yogurts either. They are SO sweet & sugary. I get plain yogurt & add my own berries. You got some neat stuff there. I do agree, you could have been eating something a lot worse than blackberries but I know how you feel..Good going on getting the excercise in .
I haven't been eating milk products for 18 months, I hope I don't start to gain by adding them back. I am shooting for optimal health not just to be skinny. Over eating blackberries or dates is so not what I want to do.
GREAT haul... I LOVE Sephora as well. It is amazing how the low fa often has more sugar in it... I always read the back of things now. I get so confused though for weight loss on low fat, low sugar, low cars, fat free! What the heck is best for weight loss????
Guess they add sugar to low fat stuff, some fats are good for us anyway. I actually get very little fat in my diet so what I am getting from that yogurt should be OK.
All natural unprocessed is best for weight loss. Eat naturally low fat, low sugar and fat free foods. Nothing white or comes in a box or a bag.
I need to listen to myself.
I loved that Sephora store. I didn't know we even had one so close.
Hi MAC! You are exercising? That is great! Believe me, I hate exercise with a passion. However, I do it too. Luckily, I hate blackberries. Recently, I have been having a banana problem. I went years with no bananas. I had a recipe that needed bananas and I bought a bunch. This started the roll. I am going to finish this last bunch and I am done with it. Great vid Mac. Thank you! :-)
LOL great job and kicking the carb habbit...I think that has been my prob eating good foods but maybe to much NOT sure. oh grat hasul. I am just getting into better make up product myself . Pamper me a bit more
I had no problem kicking the processed foods carbs, did that overnight it seems. It has been fruit that I have been overeating for some time. If I add more protein I am hoping I can control that too.
I really like that Shepora store. They treated me just great!
yes he ate all his tiny rabbits. He can have some more, they aren't over sweet. He likes Animal crackers too. The ones in the tiny box that looks like a Circus train. He's my baby boy! a 6ft tall baby boy.
There is 96 calories in a cup of blackberries. I was eating about 5 cups. I will double check that calorie count. It would be wonderful if I am wrong.
We have a new J.C. Penny and they are in there. I didn't know that until I did an internet search for them. I intend to go back as often as I can afford it. I am broke, darn.
Yes, that is what I tell myself, at least berries have no fat in them. I might as well go back to drinking 4 glasses of wine a day if I continue to pig out on fruit. Blackberry wine, now where can I get some?
Blackberries are really good for us. They are one of the few fruits that have protein. They are also low in the glycemic index. They are good for us but not like I am eating them. I am over doing it.
Stevia is a natural sweetener, it is a herb. The one in this video is very sweet. I use it on fruit, in tea, and even in cottage cheese if I want it sweet instead of savory.
Love watching your grocery hauls, you always have something interesting to share. Now that I think of it...some dates sound good, lol. Wish you the best for you next weight in!
