I was also IN the parade driving a convertible. We had to put the top up and waved out the window. Some guys cheered to us saying "top down, top down" and we were saying "hell no". We had strangers (other marchers) dropping their bags and cameras in our car to keep them from getting wet.
we did drop the top around the Fox theatre and there we got a thunderous applause for it. The rain had lightened by then.
Of course, the sun came out after it was all over! (DAMN!)
I was actually IN the parade. The only thing that kept us going with smiles on our faces was all the people that came out to support!!! They were soaked too just like us. But we had a great time!!! =)
I had a blast, too! The loud thunder claps seemed to get the crowd pumped up all the more. I was so happy to see that even the bad weather couldn't damper our PRIDE! This was one I will certainly always remember.
Interesting view!
