  • They see me trolling, they hating

  • you mean centripetal force?

  • :O they are at six flags XD

  • fuck -_-

  • 0:00

  • 0:01

  • you guys are at sixflags

  • hey its spiderman's cum

  • Centrifugal force is a fancy name for inertia when something is spinning in a circle.

  • i swear to god on EVERY time warp video the top comment has more thumbs up than the video....

  • 1:38 - 1:40. They guy on the left saying "speaking of ripped off". Is that Patrick Roach AKA Randy from Trailer Park Boys?

  • the top comment has more likes then the video...

  • Gentleman, I belive we have replicated spider webs. except edible.

  • the top comment has more likes than the video

  • the guys smirk 1:39 is priceless. right when he's talking about his job being a rip off for others.. haha

  • Centrifugal? They pretend to be a science network and they let retards open their mouths?

  • Busting myths in slomo?

  • hahahahaha, no such thing as centrifugal force

  • @sirnipslip4910 How...?

  • @TheAwkwardBanana

Centrifugal force is not an actual force. It is a theoretical term to describe as accurately as possible the effects of inertia or outward force, from a rotating object. So in physics, there is no such force as a centrifugal force. Centripetal force would have been the correct term as long as it was used with the inertial reference frame. No hate please

  • @sirnipslip4910 No hate at all! :D Cool man, good to know!

  • 4 fucking thumb up beggars on 1 page of comments...SERIOUSLY?!

  • Just skip to 1:10 to see it

  • Thumbs up if you always wanted this at home!

  • thumbs up if you think those people that go "thumbs up if..." are thumb whores

  • @MrSikknikk1 ya no kidding you thumb whore.

  • @Joeybonaduce i was kidding, it was a joke

  • Thums up if you want cotton candy now.

  • thats cool! untill now i never knew how they made that stuff!

  • thats interesting....I always wondered how that worked...

  • was this at sun river timewarp???

  • thumbs up if you dont give a crap about the ingredients you just wanna see the cotton candy

  • who cares aboute the stick? i think i put my head in there :D

  • You just stick some sugar on a stick... why so big deal ? lol <3

  • Cotton Candy :D

  • Now, you now that centrifugal force is a pseudo force, it doesn't actually exists...

  • @tiozera exactly! That really annoyed me! Its actually centripetal force they're reffering to but it does make me angry that even the discovery channel don't know this!!

  • @tiozera well... in a way nvm lol.

  • Whoa..now when I eat cotton candy I'm going to remember this vid..which will make me feel like I'm eating spider web. D:

  • nom, nom, nom, nom, nom, nom, nom, nom, nom, nom, nom, nom

  • 1:24 Centrifugal Force is not an actual force, its a common scientific misconception. An object will turn in a circular path only if there is a force pulling the object toward the centre of the circle ( this force is called a "centripetal" force), therefore deviating from its straight line path (Newtons 1st Law). The "outward force" exerted on the object is simply a reaction force of the of the object being pulled to the centre. (Newtons 3rd Law). I'm not trying to troll, just being informative.

  • @findlj ;-; stealin mah science

  • @findlj Yeah, they also said "Gill-o-teen" (Guillotine)

So WHAT'RE YA GONNA DO ABOUT IT?!

  • @findlj WHAT WHAT????!!!!!! ummm idk wtf he is fucking talking about so ummm have a cotton candy for using big words!

  • @findlj thank you! At least someone knows that! You should go work for Discovery so this doesnt happen again!!

  • @findlj key words in your argument being "reaction force"...its still a force, just not a primary force. The actual issue at hand is inertia. When you are in a car, and the car turns, your body wants to keep going along the line it was traveling, so you feel pressure (so their example was incorrect anyway). But I agree with your information, and appreciate you not being belligerent in your explanation =D thanks for helping spread knowledge!

  • @findlj so isnt the reaction force called centrifugal force?

  • @Tr0ll321 Yes it is.

  • @findlj It may not be a direct force but the instances it happens in is select enough to call it Centrifugal force...

    It's not a misconception.

  • @gordon5cc Sorry, misconception is probably not the right word in this context. Perhaps "misused" would be more appropriate?

  • @findlj I agree that it's not a force like you couldn't use it in an equation, but its still a descriptive word that's not necessarily wrong =] And sure that's more appropriate. If they tried using it in an equation it would definitely be misused.

  • @findlj you sound smart so here's my thumb :D

  • @findlj try to translate this in english it's french une tornade est un courant d air chaud et d air froind qui se hurt l un a l autre et qui ensuit tourne sur eux meme et qui creee ensuit une tornade et selon la force du courant d air la tornade sera plus ou moin grande tas da it's what i know i couldn't translate this english good luck

  • @findlj Wrong. SImply construct Newton's laws in a rotating system and a centrifugal force becomes quite apparent.

  • @agent4844 My contention is simply that Centrifugal force is a "Fictitious" force. In the system constructed in this video, the centrifugal force serves as a reaction force to the Centripetal force exerted on the system. I'm not implying that Centrifugal force is not a real force observable in a rotating system, I'm only contending that Centrifugal force does not deserve the same recognition and appreciation as the fundamental forces such as Gravitational, Electromagnetic and Nuclear forces.

  • Spider web O_O

  • Thums up if you exited out of this after the Time Warp!

  • @Horsemaniax12 Well, obviously you stayed around long enough to type out your comment.

  • oh god I want cotton candy

  • You realize that it is centripetal force, not centrifugal force, that acts on you when you're in a car?

  • But will it blend?

  • @MrRCPeter no it wont fucking blend

  • that

    was

    beautiful :3

  • Can You Toss Me a Roll ?

  • if i see one more fucking toilet paper commercial

  • Yum

  • its the mechanical spider!!1

  • Mmmmm cotton candy :)

  • while the vid is playing click 1:22 and THATS WHAT SHE SAID

  • @TheWong554 ur a fuckin idiot shut up

  • @fuckthispost be quiet troll.

  • @TheWong554 lol i dont even remember writing that sorry bro

  • I thought it was Centripital Force.......

  • @barayaoi Centrifugal Force doesn't exist- it's a false term for Centripetal Force

  • @Asymma Okay techically Centrifugal Force (a nonexistant and purely theoretical force) is centripetal force plus inertia. So while you are correct--Centrifugal Force doesn't exist--it's not identical to centripetal.

  • whats cotton candy?

  • @scott619100 where are you from?

  • @Drepani13 usa

  • keep clicking on 1:19 BALLS!

  • why do some cooks claim that there's no such thing as centrifugal force?

  • @barayaoi because centrifugal force is a fictitious force. what causes the force is inertia and the normal force exerted by say a car door onto your body.

  • 0:55

    thats what she said

  • @marsbars2000 No.

  • He like it! press 5

  • Is centrifugal force kinda like a disk thrower? Somebody?

  • What for are the 9 dislikes by d way???

  • i had this feeling craving for cotton candy..

  • These guys should team up with MythBusters and have a solid week of awesomeness...

    who agrees?

  • @leumas61992 You know, only everyone.

  • @leumas61992

me!, but Time Warp got cancled!

  • Comment removed

  • @leumas61992 And they're going to timewarp a myth-test about Bear Grylls dying while Mike Rowe cleans up afterwards.

  • @leumas61992 i fucking agree !!

  • @leumas61992 call it; NERD WEEK!

  • i thought it was OVER 9 THOUSAND !!!!!!!!!!

  • there's no such thing as centrifugal force, just a tangental velocity. If there were a centrifugal force then the cotton candy would accelerate perpendicular to the centre of the rotor. It doesn't, it leaves the rotor at right angles to the rotor at a constant speed.

  • 9 people never ate cotton candy

  • Comment removed

  • actually isn't it centripetal force?

    Americans...

  • @ShanewSxS actually... no. Centripetal force in the force that goes inward in a spinning object. Centrifugal force is the force that goes outward

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @ShanewSxS I really hope you were joking when you said that.

  • @ShanewSxS actually, isnt it centrifugal force?.. oh yah i think it is ..

    idiots..

  • 1:18 - That's what she said.

  • its like a sugar filled spider

  • It's like an edible spider web...

  • Centrifugal force

T'is but a lie. It be inertia at work here. Basic physics, as I'm sure you will find.

  • @4rkain3 That's exactly what I was gonna say... I'm surprized Discovery is responsible for such an inacurracy.

  • @4rkain3 @bzscubashark wut.

centrifugal force - represents the effects of inertia that arise in connection with rotation and which are experienced as an outward force away from the center of rotation. - wikipedia

so that's both of them, DC is not wrong and neither are you. DRAW

  • i want some cotton candy now

  • @Zerohourkevin Fuck you.

  • ....now i'll never accept or buy cotton candy for less than 1 dollar.

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm yummmmmy

  • thumbs up if you want to put icecream or paint in that and watch it fly everywhere

  • @2Guys2Masks Yo puse pulgar hacia arriba quiero ver helado volar y pintura :D

  • @2Guys2Masks SPLATTERMAN!

  • @2Guys2Masks oh ya!!!!!!!!

  • @2Guys2Masks And then have time warp record it at 1000 fps! :D

  • CENTRIFUGAL FORCE DOESN'T EXIST!!! IT'S INERTIA!!! lol

  • @zerohourkevin

    uhh..you're absolutely certain about this?8-|

  • looks like a giant tonado

  • Centrifugal force. Physics rage. Centripetal bitch, we aren't in the machine's reference frame!!!!

  • Centrifugal force. Physics rage. Centripetal bitch, we aren't in the machine's reference frame!!!!

  • there isn't centrifugal force, there is centripetal force. the force is inward, this is why when throwing a baseball you release above your head. if there was centrifugal force you would release the ball when your arm is pointing below the target.

  • centrifugal force is not real. centripetal force is. the force isn't outward it is inward.

  • @ShockerSkateboarding I think I would know as a physics major. It is really just inertia. There is actually no outwards force. That's why, in your experiment, if the bucket were released, it would not fly straight outwards. In fact, it would have no outwards component to its velocity.

  • @aznsupageek you are right lol

  • Wow they got it all wrong. An eighth grader knows that there is no such thing as centrifugal force. The only force on a revolving object goes inwards.

  • @aznsupageek

Afraid you're wrong. Here's a test an eight-grader could do. Fill a bucket halfway with water. Then spin around, holding the bucket out. If you spin fast enough, you should be able to hold the bucket almost horizontal with no water spilling out, thanks to centrifugal force. Pretty sure you can't be a physics denialist.

  • Is anyone else getting this stupid Verizon commercial?

  • @grandpiano98 Yes, and it truly is stupid.

  • @ILoveDeseApples Yes! someone agrees with me!

  • CENTRIPETAL NOT CENTRIFUGAL

  • @xmushie133x

Incorrect. Centripetal refers to motion drawn towards the centre of the source.

  • NOMNOMNOMNOM

  • im the 90,00 viewer so its almost over 90000!!!!!!!!

  • @shadow1234123411 the phrase is over 9,000 not 90,000 dumbass.

  • press 139

it looks like he is trying to make out with his pretend

    girlfriend

  • So THAT'S how cotton candy works...awesome. Now whenever I eat it I'm eating science!!:D

  • @artnfrenchy LMFAO

  • There's no such thing as centrifugal force, its just the inertia when centripetal force is applied

  • There's no such thing as centrifigal force, its just the inertia when centripetal force is applied

  • 0:32 the cotton candy guy has no idea what the orange guy is talking about xD

  • hey i an Andrew huh

  • how the hell did someone figure out how to do this?

  • @Arabianz7 Well duh... they accidentally build a cotton candy machine and Ta-Daa!

  • @Arabianz7 accident

  • @zachman54sack How do you ACCIDENTALLY put little candy pieces in a spinning thing that somehow flings little candy hairs onto a stick? hahaha, but I'm sure that is how that happened.

  • @Arabianz7 smokin dat purple

  • @Arabianz7 Carefully

  • Lol Centrifugal force isn't a force, it's inertia....

  • This is science! :)

  • Six flags new england :D

  • when has there ever been the letter "R" in "PASTA"

  • @joshwakeman

    In Pastderp.

  • stop replying to people dammit, i want a real comment!

  • Goodness gracious, cetrifugal force is a fictitious force! It doesn't really exist! Its actually the cause of CENTRIPETAL force! Erg! Why do so few people understand that!

  • Cotton candy made fresh is damn good stuff even if you are getting ripped off.

  • wtf the commercial scared the shit out of me.

  • CAWTON KANDY! COME AND GITCHA CAWTON KANDY! CAN'T THROW A RIOT WITHOUT CAWTON KANDY!

  • I also thought that there was a blade in the cotton candy machines and always wondered why it needed one. I always stood like 5 feet away from the machines because I was scared -_-

  • now im craving cotton candy :)

  • 0:01

    your welcome

  • @poprocksown doesn't work

  • @poprocksown this never fucking works. >.>

  • @poprocksown thank you

  • @poprocksown Am I the only one that this Dosen't work for?

  • @poprocksown dosen't work bitch, dumbass, whore, fag

  • @gamefaqsandcheats yea i think they fixed it so you cant skip ads sorry

  • @poprocksown wont work anymoar

  • @aCrucifiedCrusader yea i know
