This isn't 8-bit version of the actual song though. This is 8-bit version of the General MIDI version of the song. As such I consider it to be a disgrace for true 8-bit music to claim this to be 8-bit metal of any sort. IMO it is laughable how people don't realize this. There doesn't seem to exist any actual metal in true 8-bit form, which is odd. Distorted guitar and drums shouldn't sound _that_bad in 8-bits of precision, it has been done even on 1-bit, but that's completely another story...
