that method works on business versions and ultimate versions of vista, for home versions, or any version go to your search box and type regedit

hit enter, and the registry editor will come up, then navigate to

HKLM->SOFTWARE->Microsoft->Win­dows->Current Version->Policies->System

and change the values of the following two keys as follows

dontdisplaylastusername = 1

disablecad = 1 ( this is also it's default, so if it's not there, don't worry about it )

and presto, you got it.

It didn't work for me. I went to the Vista search bar and typed in secpol.msc and then I went to the run button and typed in secpol.msc and it couldn't find it! Any clues?

then go to hkey_local_machine\software\mi­crosoft\windows\currentversion­\polices\system and change The value of dontdisplaylastusername to 1 if there isnt onecreate a new dword value and call it dontdisplaylastusername
