  • it's quite possible, that incident had triggered FIA to ban those wings.

  • ...That's a wing mirror, stupid. The wings are those big angled bits at the front and back of the car.

  • @TestECull no, back then they were allowed to have small wings on the sidepod as well.

  • @TestECull I love seeing someone being stupid while calling others stupid. At 0:30 and onwards you can see the real mirrors clear as day, STUPID!

  • @TestECull Apparently you don't know anything about Formula 1 history.

Pretty much every team on the grid experimented with these high, sidepod-mounted WINGS during the late 90's/ They were subsequently banned, possibly because of this incident right here.

  • Horrible wings so unattractive.

  • Ohh I miss those Sauber colours :(

  • @simoncase Sauber have plans to go back to those colours hopefully in 2012 :)

  • @Burnout900012 I like the sound of that :)

    That would be great.

  • @Burnout900012 I just dont see how that's possible, cause neither Petronas or Rebull are sponsoring Sauber anymore...well maybe they can try to use same kind of colors as they used to have back in the day, but we shall see.

  • never seen these wings xD

  • @Homer0Simpson They were banned after a few races for being hideously ugly. They looked like someone glued two overhead projectors to the sides of the car!

  • Awesome wings actually!

  • @speedimages They were good on the 97 Tyrell but after that they got a bit unsightly.

  • Horrible wings anyway

  • @johnnyfiveisking yes they did cause concerns they were last seen at San Marino 1998. They were banned from Spain 1998.
