stupid question but did you by any chance ghet her from a rescue centre in wales? we have a dog called amber (origional shinta) maybe some connection as she was there with her sister...
She was kind of scared of water for the first few weeks she lived with us, but eventually, she started chasing the hose around the yard, and biting at the water. Once she got to that point, we figured she might like large bodies of water, and we were right.

Did she like water at first? Or did you have to ease her into swimming?
