think it has to do with the older generation teaching their kids to be prejudice?? was he a friend with a black kid or a jewish kid?? well Robert didn't agree with mama...told his friend not to cry for what society did to the beautiful sea ( or perhaps the pisces sympathy/ empathy being killed in dirty waters society has caused) and that nothing really matters...
