Gears of War 1 is terribly broken. The longshot is SO overpowered and its whored out by EVERYONE. Shotguns aren't better. They're freaking spam cannons. The movement is faster but its clunky as hell and maneuverability is just awful. Not to mention how dull and colorless it was. And host andvantage is ten times worse than it is in Gears 2. Including how ridicuously glitchy that game was. I had so many matches ruined by people glitching outside the map and crab-walking.

First game i ever got for my Xbox was Gears of War 1, years ago and i still play it IMO Gears of War 1 is much better because the movement and overall gameplay is much faster, sniper and shotgun is far more enjoyable to use, not as many noobs online anymore due to them all going to GOW 2, Loads of sniper matches just for fun unlike in GOW2 were you have to get your friends to have one. But who really cares because Gears of War is better than any game I have ever played. Gears 2 sucked but I think they were just experimenting and in Gears 3 they should put the best of both (Which Gears 2 didn't have much to offer) But I still have high hopes for Gears 3. :) But I doubt it could beat the intensity and memories I had with Gears 1.

nice vid, but personally, i prefer gears 2 over gears 1. i played them both but i like how you can wallbounce in gears 2 with the cancel, you can mix your style up and be unpredictable, and i feel like gears 2 to is smoother & a more put together game than gears 1, although it does have it's cons like most other games. in gears 1, it seems like all players do is one shot down you with sniper or rape you with unlimited hammer of dawn, and not mention the insane headshot detection.
overall, gears 1 is 10x better. but the features and add ons in gears 2 are awesome. plus the maps look a lot better. now if gears 3 has gears 1 gameplay with gears 2 add ons, it would be the best creation this world has ever seen.

Gears 2 sucks ever since the update (overpowered shotty) not the lancer and hammerburst are practically obsolete. and stopping power should just be gone. I say in my opinion Gears 1 is better all that I said is my opinion so don't bitch about it.

I think both games are good although gears 2 has a longer campaign, better story and better graphics. But gears 1 is more depressing and gritty. Although gears 2 as a more refined cover system but gears 2 also has annoying reaver and vehicle sequences.

Grenade tagging is good, you just have to keen eyes and find them instead of getting frustrated. All epic needs to do is buy some goddamn servers and get rid of host power. There should also be an option where you can disable the B button so people don't get frustrated of 2 piecing all the time.

But who really cares because Gears of War is better than any game I have ever played. Gears 2 sucked but I think they were just experimenting and in Gears 3 they should put the best of both (Which Gears 2 didn't have much to offer) But I still have high hopes for Gears 3. :) But I doubt it could beat the intensity and memories I had with Gears 1.

@oiNsTiiNcTz Yeah lol, by the looks of it Gears 3 will have similar movement as Gears 2, but I think you now roll diaginal now. Before you could only roll back and forth or side to side. So I think that'll be pretty cool. With dedicated servers you guy shouldn't look really buggy anymore when your running.

Like the shotgun got all that range damage but up close it takes 2 shots to kill someone WHICH gives them a 2nd chance (Thats bullshit). the lancer is actually weaker in gears 2. the cog pistol may have more bullets but IT IS WEAKER and it dont give headshots not more. i wish i had the skills to make a video describing everything cause gears 2 is jacked up and gears 3 is just a faster version man

And in what way is the sniper overpowered in Gears 1 You just got killed by it so much and you couldn't use it so you hate it. Gears 1 was mainly shotgun, sniper and torque bow. Gears 2 was much more lancer based and the shotgun sucked. Even Cliff said he doesn't like the shotgun. Gears 2 was much more gimmick than skills. Gears 2 was trash and they tried to update it so many times to make it closer to Gears 1. Gears 3 better not suck.

nice vid, but personally, i prefer gears 2 over gears 1. i played them both but i like how you can wallbounce in gears 2 with the cancel, you can mix your style up and be unpredictable, and i feel like gears 2 to is smoother & a more put together game than gears 1, although it does have it's cons like most other games. in gears 1, it seems like all players do is one shot down you with sniper or rape you with unlimited hammer of dawn, and not mention the insane headshot detection.

Gears 1 = Pretty much easy mode, sniper pussies ranting on about how awesome they are, and the fact that no matter what you did a shotgun charge pretty much meant your life.

these are the best games ever created gears 1 has a really good online and good campaign but if u have no access to xbox live like i sometimes do when i take my xbox to friends houses then gears 2 is better becos u can play campaign horde multiplayer with bots but gears 1 is not shit bearing in mind it was made in 2005 to 2006 as apposed to gears 2 from 2006 to 2008 and with all the ideas of wat was good and not good from the original gears and they have had to try and tie up all the loose ends

I think both games are good although gears 2 has a longer campaign, better story and better graphics. But gears 1 is more depressing and gritty. Although gears 2 as a more refined cover system but gears 2 also has annoying reaver and vehicle sequences.

Grenade tagging is good, you just have to keen eyes and find them instead of getting frustrated. All epic needs to do is buy some goddamn servers and get rid of host power. There should also be an option where you can disable the B button so people don't get frustrated of 2 piecing all the time.
