You either risk injury or you let someone go to do it again. Some areas in the US tried discontinuing the pursuit if it became dangerous & they found it encouraged more people to run. If a criminal knows all they have to do to get away is make the pursuit dangerous that's exactly what they do

A wild run away trucker driving a rig with about 20,000 pounds is death waiting to happen. He has already proven disrespect for the laws and must be taken down. If I had to and the guy was putting the citizens in danger I would shoot and kill the driver after exausting all other avalible options.
