  • This is so inspiring.. Thank you for sharing this piece.

  • Yea..flying cars..lol..most people can barely drive on roads..imagine the nightmare if

ever there were flying cars !!!

  • The dream of any lawnmowerman

  • It's cool, but it's just a personal hovercraft.

  • air skirt = fail

  • The reason why were kept back technologically..so they can keep selling us oil and old technology.. !!

  • i want it D:

  • All I can say is the hoverboard is stupid...we want something nice and small that "floats" above ground

  • those hoverboards are. back to the future hoverboards would be ace.

  • thats kind the nice but it takes space and its not nice if theres a lot of people walking around you and you could hurt somebody or things

  • that's a nice machine but can you change the handle (stirring device) it looks like a lawn mower

  • I've seen these being demo'd.....there are 2 main set backs. The first is that they are extremely loud. It's probably twice as loud as a harley. The second thing is that they throw up tons of dust, especially off sidewalks and parking lots.

  • yeah hes completely right when he says that we could be flying

the reason why we haven't been changing very much in the last century is mainly because of capitalism and people's need to live off services.

its common knowledge that things inside of a car break purposely because mechanics need to live off those broken cars, and that food from California can feed the entire world, but it doesn't matter because cooperate executives need to control the wealth with capitalism.

  • yellowfellow: "its common knowledge that things inside of a car break purposely because mechanics need to live off those broken cars"

    Thats not a rational statement.

Companies developing defective components on purpose to benefit others that are not necessarily linked with that company is absurd and makes no sense when you also use the word "capitalism" to justify it.

This would develop a market niche for production of more durable components.

  • they are absolutely linked to those companies because they're buying the parts off them

if all the companies are working together to keep the same standard then market niches are bullshit

its pretty much the same thing with all american companies

they work together to keep low standards and maximize profits

that's why we don't have electric cars

thats why so many things like solar panels and something as simple as videogames with no disks are not supported

  • Do you honestly believe that all global companies are working together to produce defective products and suppress scientific research?

Besides the fact that its not an efficent way to maximise profits, something on this scale is rediculous and would be too transparent to independent analysis.

Electric cars and solar panels are not the norm because they are more expensive and less efficient then combustion engines.

  • actually its a perfect way to maximize profits since you're pretty much getting people to buy a new car every time their old one breaks down

and electric cars are actually extreme efficient, they don't make any sound unlike combustion engines which bounces around and looses lots of energy from friction to heat and sound

and new electric cars might be more expensive because they're new products

but i thought you understood that concept since you took economic?

  • Its not the price of the electric car its self but the batteries required. This is not a matter of it just being a new product.

As it stands now battery technology is not at a viable level. The best battery technology is still not small and powerfull enough to justify mass production. Its only a gimic at the moment and with the current majority of power coming from coal, recharging electric cars actualy produces more emissions.

  • Its like a hovercraft mixed with a segway... Intense.

  • I see Hoverboards only...

  • gay

  • much like your posting

  • and thats one tiny microscopic move forward.

    -yawn-

we are such tools. come on already, release antigrav tech already...you want a supereconomy...stop squashing tech

    watch?v=pJJ-4lnwrck&feature=channel_page

Anyhow...meh..neat personal hovercraft thing I guess...yay for us and such..a couple fans, a standing plastic bit and some nylon rubber.

our pace of transportation technology seems to be unsusally slow...wonder why that is.

    -pretends to hmm-

  • where can i buy one? i want one

  • 0:17-0:28 - "We are all not flying around.. and that really pisses me off!" - lol

Yeah, now that I think about it.. F@#&!!!

  • super dangerous. Remember the stand-up jet ski; so many people were killed that you don't see anymore on the market.

If you hit a fixed object on the road the rider will be flying off and will probably hit his head on a tree or pavement.

it may be successful if he made a sit-down type where the rider has more control. Being a hover craft by it's definition does not give you too much control (and by his own admission).

  • can you make a sit down model and remove the governor, then it's back to what fuels it for how long etc.

  • how long does it last?

  • I need one!!!!!! Gimme!

Maybe more comfortable than a Segway..maybe your feet don't get all numb and make u wipe out....

  • Thumbs up on the air jockeys.

  • looks like a lawn mower. it's barely off the ground...probably fun to ride tho.

  • Without the speed governor on it- it does over 50 miles an hr.- a bit too scary for most riders; so it's regulated to about 20 miles an hour instead...it's a blast!

    Peter- Director

  • Greaaaat. Flying cars... Just what we need. Too many people have too much trouble functioning in two dimensions. That's all I need is to get hit by some moron landing on the sidewalk, or crashing into my house. If flying cars become a reality, they better have some stringent operating requirements and extremely severe penalties for flying without a license. Other than that, it looks like fun. ;)

  • too slow

  • I'll take 2 where do I buy?????

  • I WANT FLYING CARS NOW!!!!!!!!!! LOL

  • I have one of these for sale. Bought for a promo event and never used. Been warehoused since Aug and is located in sydney. $5000 ONO. Anyone interested????

  • Will it cut my grass?

  • seems to me the lawnmower-handle bars should be a bit higher.

  • The Airboards Look So Good

  • WOW! i so agree with this guy. technology is advancing too slowly and we could and should have crazy stuff like this.

  • buy one today for 5000$!!!! ill stick to a 80$board! lol but it has potential but not like this guy was meaning. i dont think everyone whould have it

  • yea right

  • Seller PATENT Power Skateboard Tel +66890015181 (Thailand)

  • actully i am creating an airboard, and i do have high hopes for it.

  • WOW the invented the HOOVER, hhahaha a russian invention of sixties, hah...

  • that red flying car was in the news a few years back.

  • great that somebody cares about evolving things

  • this isn't real flight!

  • That thing just might go on water as well.

If you had a flying car you would have to follow a path just like planes do, then you would have traffic jambs in the sky just like on the ground.

  • Only rich people could afford VCRs at $2000 when they first came on to the market.

Cell phones in the 70s were $2000-$5000

I remember reading a prediction that someday even poor people will have cell phones and not just limited to the rich.

  • easily understood physics.... just no ones doing it.... YOU MADE A HOVER CRAFT BUT SMALLER!!!! I had a freekin R/C hover craft when i was 9! You didn't invent anything guy, you made it smaller and threw on a handle. Not any less cool mind you. Just not any closer to flying.

  • Flying Machines.

  • GAY it's not even like it' of the air

  • It's almost as stupid as that thing with a stick and two wheels you stand on.

  • to be honest, you'd look like a goon riding round on one of those

  • sa,sa,stupid ri,rich people

  • a personal hovercraft?! nice!

  • this is wasting energy³

  • And put a air filter in it.

So that it's filters also the air.

Then the hole world have this and with a lot of fun we filter the air.

  • This guy is cool, but I disagree with the commentator. He says it is a RARE ability to turn a dream into reality. That is false; everyone has the ability, you just have to make you dreams your goals.

  • then we will graduate to air traffic!!

  • pisses me off to why isn't my car flying

  • like that guy in the beginning being pissed off that there isnt the sweet toys there should be out by now... im totally on his side with that even tho them devises are just5 hover crafts..

as for that flying car...that will never come into production for the average person and will never be the true flying car. If it requires air to give it lift or propulsion then it will never be the true flying car of the future.

  • I went to the web site its only 14,600. LMAO If i was a kid I would want the 14500.00 bucks and then buy a 30 dollar skate board

  • this is actually a pretty cool vid, i sent that spam, to test if it works AND IT DOESNT

  • what happens if a nail hits that p.o.s. no refund? no return? 12,000 waste.

  • If a nail hits that it won't crash or something it just keep going. It dont work like a car tire.

  • not flying machine

    just an hovercraft

  • there goes the neighborhood

  • I have to disagrre with you because the religions aren't violent't their are just some crazy people out their who don't care for other human beings, for example i am a muslim and i won't dream of killing or harming another human being.

  • lol

  • Your right we should be flying around but can you imagine the crazy drivers, no insurance and chaos.Prehaps this is why "the powers that be" prehaps are stopping this from happening?

  • daily drive to work i dont even have a job

  • a flying lawn mower!!!

  • what an awesome clean way to travel! I would totally buy one!

  • they are on sale £6000

  • omg ! there only $6000 !!! im gunna get me one!

  • $12000

  • None of these wacky ideas sell because they just aren't very desirable. One man's toy is another man's ridiculous gadget. For something to sell, it has to either be very functional and practical, or it has to be very cheap, light, small, and affordable. A car is the former. A skateboard is the latter. This device is neither. Thus it goes into the junk pile of stupid inventions.

  • the problem with these are they are just hovercrafts, which have the least energy efficient form of lift and aero dynamics. these would waste so much fuel / batter power

  • where can i get one?

  • i'd take the governor off as soon as i got one

  • Merge it with a Segway platform and you won't fall off.

    (Brainstorming)

  • stand up hover craft.

  • where do I get one?

  • bullshitto

  • and that pisses me of

  • oh yea the flying car, crash that and you die

  • solution: DONT CRASH.

crashing shouldnt be an option anyways.

the only reason someone should crash something is if they are being a complete retard, or some retard hits them.

    no excuse for crashing.

    blaming the weather?

    STILL the retard's fault.

cause it was a choice to drive the way they drove in that kind of weather.

    bad planning.

  • don't crash airplanes and no one dies. same frickin thing just less people on board.

  • dude, unwanted and unexpected mechanical problems

  • Some of the prototype flying cars have 4 independent powered engines and GPS mapped. Impossible for all 4 to fail at once or to crash into another GPS flying car.

  • no, i meant airplanes, no matter how careful you are, there are still"........." like i said eventhough the chance is tiny

  • I had a dream to make that 20 years ago but you lied down on it

  • that is so funny when a scientist says ''Pisses me off''.

  • if cars could fly they wouldnt be flying cars they would just be airplanes that can land quickly

the whole concept of a flying car is that its the normal size of a car not a jet airplane

  • Flying cars are not put in use because they would not be able to regulate, police, nor control the speeds & use of them.

In addition, failures in engines could cause catastrophic crashes & loss of life.

  • I know ay if u give me 1 i will give u a dollar

  • Why do you tease me with such a fun looking device!!! AArghh....

  • $14,500 you want proof google AIRBOARD price

  • Now if you can just make it hover without a skirt I'll buy one.

  • where can i get one and how much does it cost?

  • look it up on google and its about $20,000 to $25,000. sorry to me its a waste of money, if you wanted one that bad just bulid one.

  • well it really is a big waste of money.

  • yes it is

  • it should be hover board not air board....

  • i like the way this guy thinks.... we're not flying and it pisses me off too!!!!!

  • I thought that part was funny

  • i've been messing with this stuff forever! i came up with a good idea lol

  • it's great!! but how much is it?

  • I HAVE HAD PLANS FOR A HOVER TYPE CRAFT as this for twenty yrs i m glad somebody as produced it for sale a quite modern design too,

  • wow i stand corrected in fact i have just found the only other time in yrs i have seen the exactly video as mine its on you tube, look for FLYING PLATFORM the video is not to good but its from an 1989 t.v program same as mine , its kool i want one

  • i have a very rare video of the now hidden W.A.S.P.,a 125 kilogram turbine engine craft, looks like 55 gallon drum , but can hover fly around trees , carry a 250lb load, ceiling limit 10,000ft 35 minute fuel supply ,speed 70 miles per hour looks right out of star wars , no joke, got it off the only time showed in public forum -a program -future scan machines at war, army gave it a battlefield desination , its not been seen in public since 1989

  • where is it then?

  • Well not this one. It's gas-powered. But new electrical model will be.

  • great toy!

    quite zero emission?
