  • The Speedy Sharp does not have a sharpening side and a honing side... You use the carbide (mirror finish) side FORWARD to sharpen and the carbide side BACKWARDS to hone.

  • I've had a Speedy Sharp for about 20 years. It's the best sharpener I have . It's great for giving the first good cutting edge on previously "very dull" knives. I've even sharpened several butter knives to be as sharp as the steak knives (it only takes a few minutes to put a good edge on a butter knife). Best $5 I ever spent.

  • I am a friend of the man that invented the speedy sharp

    he passed away several years after selling the patent for the speedy. i spent a big part of my childhood building random gadgets with this man. it makes me feel good to see someone put the effort to throw a video on youtube

  • canadian tire sells 17.99$. I guess I should try ebay
