Just wanted to commend you on talking the bear down. I couldn't bear to watch him end it all. Looked like he'd come to find life unbearable. Plus, I think he might've been bipolar. Had he jumped, it would have been a grisly scene. I know you've barely had any negotiation training, but you handled it perfectly - you weren't overbearing; weren't embarrassed to confront the issues; just had him look for the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities, and forget about his worries and his strife.
