@Chorongi I didn't make the recipe, Chorongi: I only filmed it, and eat it... Mmmmmh, so delicious: you have to try it, it took a long time for it to be ready, but it's not difficult: a little love, and it will be as delicious as you remember! My friend Cyrille used thos ingredients, if I'm not wrong: Onions Tomatoes Peppers Cabbage Chive Squash/zucchini Bay leaves Carots Eggplant? Coriander seeds Basilic Rosemary or thyme? Garlic Salt
@Chorongi And something like peanut butter, of course! But it was darker, I guess it the kind of peanut butter you find in Africa, it might be prepared a bit differently, I don't know if it will taste the same with our peanut butter, you'll have to telle us!
@iconicop Hi there!! I just made it!!! =) I had food for another 2 days cooked. But i put it into the fridge, because I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep if i don't make sauce arachide now!!! =) And it was very delicious!! But not the same what I tasted 4 years ago. I don't remember exactly...but if it was the same, i would have said.."that'S it !!" But it was very similar. =) It is because i did not have all the ingredients. I will make it again exactly how your friend made it and tell you!!!
@Chorongi I'm sure next time it will be even better: you'll find the trick, the little things that makes all the difference. Experiment: you'll soon be a master of that recipe!
@iconicop wonderful recipe!!!! thanks so much for uploading!! and really cool music. where can i buy a cd??? i will make this recipe this week. i tasted one spoon from my cameroonian friend a couple of years ago. I swear i never forgot about the taste. I think it is the same recipe. she told me it is called " sauce arachide". is it the same??? was so delicious!!! i just could get one spoon because she already had finished the dish!!! i was looking for this recipe for years!! thank you so much.
@iconicop Yes, love this song. Anyways.....thank you so much for this great recipe. I love this food so much. You guys have awesome food. What other dishes from Burkina Faso can you recommend me? =)))
@Chorongi I was just in Burkina for 5 months, I do live in Montreal, Canada, but I also loved the recipes with rice and tomatoes, or the delicious yassa chicken (marinated into lemon, with a lot of onions, and some mustard I think): you'll find many recipes on the web I imagine. Enjoy african food!
@Chorongi Of course, don't forget to drink the delicous but strong tea they drink in Burkina, if you happen to go there... With fresh peanuts in the bottom of your very small glass
@iconicop would love to visit Burkina Faso. =) I have a good friend from Ghana. Maybe she will take me one day. =) Actually, my dream was always to visit Tansania, because of the food. I had a roommate from Tansania. Awesome food!Anyways, good news. I have a french friend who knows how to cook this!!!! =) He promised me to show me how to cook it. Will tell you how it was!! =) Canada must be great. =) I used to live in California for a while. Now, I live in Germany. But I am native South Korean.
@Chorongi I'm sure your French friend will be a good cook: France has still a very tight relation with Senegal, and West Africa in general, it expands the limits of cooking, and culture, that's great. I do live in Canada for almost 20 years, but I'm from Switzerland!
@Chorongi Nope, in Switzerland one million of people speak French, and I'm one of them... And half a million speak Italian. I do understand German, but I don't practice it. So French yes, without any problem!
@iconicop That'S true. =) I have friends who study in Geneva and Lausanne. =) I speak French too. I went to a French- German bilingual school. But now it's kind of ... haha. I forgot so much. I even feel embarrassed to tell people that i went to such a school, cause my friend is so bad now. =) hehe* But i love the French language. =)
