I can understand private member trees if you want to keep family info private, but only for living or recently deceased family members. I have hit a few roadblocks in the 1700s and have found "hints" for these people in "private" family trees. I emailed the person asking for more info on this several hundred year old ancestor and both times was rudely told it was a private tree. I'm sorry, but I cannot understand this mentality. If you dont think its accurate, then say so. But sheeesh
