  • shira i feel you i have never got this much insperation befor u go girl <3

  • I feel you a little. But what I do know is that... U R FINE! And right now, I so wanna kiss ur juicy pink lips... OMG!!!

  • I wish that if someone were to call you stupid, they would at least have the courtesy to write properly.

  • You Rock sister Sheri peace Queen!

  • Your childhood experience has really screwed you up. Please don't let it effect you today.

  • @arkangelio how so? the word "didn't" is past tense... unless you are implying that wanting to be black is a bad thing

  • Thanks u so much:-)

  • I am Muslim and I AM PROUD

    am not A Terrorist, I don't ride Camel , I don't live in a desert ....

I am a human being , and I have the right to be who I am .....

  • tHANKYOU so much for this girl you speak the truth. finally. someone who can actually say it how it is, there is a reason why there is this 'self hate' even in my indian community with skin lightening creams and the guys all hate dark skinned girls and even indian girls in general, they all date white girls here in australia.

  • I think you was born stupid...

  • @tochkalounge86 nice try but there is no way possible i'm stupid

  • I'm white and I would LOVE to be black. I think black is gorgeous.

  • thank you for being so real

  • beuty+

  • u look much meaty on this video.

  • i like to watch ur fucking good video..keep making ..i love it....love it....

  • i'm a white chick and i can honestly say not all white people had it easy either. i think theres always shitty people who are going to put you down in one way ,shape or form...especially if you're poor. i think ya just have to stay strong and not let jerks get ya down....cuz you wont see them after school anyway! :)

  • Wow... I beg to differ, LOL!!! When I was younger I never wanted to be any other ethnicity than my own: African American. I still feel the same way to this day at 23. If God would give me a choice, I would keep what I already have and be who I am. I thank God for it. He did not make a mistake at ALL!!!

  • @drroberson4 i agree NOW, but at that time i didn't have enough perspective to feel that way

  • I understand what you saying. but I never wanted to be white. But then again. I had parents that told me about my black and native american history. I was proud. the crap about it is. They went to white schools so I listen to my music and so called white peoples music.so I became the akward child in a all black school. I wanted to be the cool black kid and fit in. and I didnt. But now being unique is what its all about! I lovvvve being black I knew when I moved to europe, all the men would like!

  • It really got to me when you said about when you were little and wanted to be white :c

I am hispanic but have really fair skin, and I love my skin tone. I love makeup and I feel like its like a piece of paper to draw on.

But then I see a face, of a chocolate brown tone and I cant help and stare and think "Damn! That skin looks sooo beautiful"

A thing I can think of right now is that

I wish to be thinner, for confidence but mainly HEALTH, so I will work for that...

  • screw the haters-i love what you have to say!

  • It is hard to be different, and Black, as a teenager. It often takes until you get into your 20s and 30s until you are comfortable in your own skin. At least it was for me. I see teenagers, like half my age, still going through the same thing. There is a lot of diversity in the Black community, but don't ask anyone about it. Everyone will deny it, we are all the same. You believe it as a teenager, but it is the furthest from the truth ...

  • Are you still in Ohio? I hated it for years, but left back in 92. I went to an HBCU, and tried to immerse myself in Black culture. I found out that I loved being Black and couldn't imagine being anything else. But I did not want to be like my classmates, I wanted to be myself. I didn't like any of the things they liked, I didn't dress like they did. I found out that I was just a different type of Black person, not the norm.

  • and I love the fact that you are dominican, or partially hispanic, and you still embrace your "blackness," too! :)

  • yes ppl want to be black cuz thts why ppl tanning to get brown skin, getting surgery to get fuller asses and lips. Not bashing other races but I'm making a point. I LOVE BEING BLACK AND I WLDNT TRADE IT FOR ANYTHING! Be happy for what you are and what you have, whether your dark skin or light skin. Work it, black or white!

  • Your video makes me emotional.

Your video on self hatred really makes me feel we are all just suffering from this, I felt so connected to you for the duration of this video.

  • (My Love and Pride) The Africa they never show you

Please take a minute and watch this video on Youtube about the Africa they edit and delete

  • i am black and want to be rich. you sound like a mixed nut. get a life.

  • Hey... You don't like to be ghetto. Then why you're using a big azz ghetto earrings?! Please get rid of that big azz ghetto earrings off your ears! I hate ghetto culture and etc! Ghetto is so annoying!

  • @porschegt3i pardon, but your definition of "ghetto" isn't the same as mine...and even if it were, my style is my style, whether or not someone else deems it "ghetto"... clearly i'm an educated person so if i decide to wear whatever i feel like wearing it should be obvious that it doesn't define my character

  • @SugarFreeTV bien dicho saludos de españa!

  • Comment removed

  • calm down martin luthur king

  • @paksallion why? cuz you in your opinion think i should? my channel (just saying) don't watch me pls

  • @paksallion ps... i'd rather be malcolm x than mlk ... no disrespect

  • Nobody wants to be black. Why do people hate black but they like black clothes. I dont get it.

  • I dont want to be black.... I want to be in a world where you are not classified by color or culture.... I want to just be african where everyone originated from amounst other africans who all look dramatically different from the rest... light skin africans and dark, ones with tight curls(naps) and ones with straight-- slanted eyes and wide-- America is too divided......... why is that?

  • I never wanted to be white! Who wants to be the ruler and cheater in life. They got were they are today by stepping on the backs of others. The hold land of North America is stolen. To love yourself you have to follow history.Self hate started in slavery for black Americans. You got to be proud of who you are.

  • I LOVE THIS!

  • love this

  • It's doesn't matter what anyone say about the so called Nnegro. We GOD's chosen. THE MOST HIGH is black.

  • thank you :)

  • can you do a hair tutorial for that style it is soooo lush!!!!!!!!!!

  • u look like Beyonce anyways i love what u doing.am pure black in Germany and dem som of look at me and are like oopssssssssssss a black gal.am proud of me

  • @aishahhicks thumbs up

  • This video really makes me proud to be me......You and Tyra Banks are so inspirational and I love that you talk about this topic. Because it is a huge issue society and there are countless victims who have low self esteem because of that. Thank you for this video..........

  • Most black women wud die to have ur skin colour

  • @askar4kill that's unfortunate .... i think personally it's best to like the skin color you already have, since you're stuck with it... unless you plan on mutilating your skin

  • Comment removed

  • @yummytv101 Stop commenting fools, listen to what she is saying. this is her reality, why u shifting the the topic to darker black women, this lady doesnt hide behind other people's securities, she deals with her own and moves on.

  • @askar4kill not really... a nice brown is what everyone desires :-) not too dark and not too light(definately NOT too light) Ive got this awesome!! AWESOME skintone now from spending time in the sun :-) and now i saw this black girl on Youtube with a spray tan! the tan makes the dull brown have more life... like the native americans had dark brown skin with a hint of red??? the tan does that so your brown is pretty like mixed brown paint with another paint :D thats what we want

  • @askar4kill You should try it :-0 its super CUTE to have... my skin was already a pretty brown but it was just plain brown.. nothing else-- when I say the spray tan i said I GOT TO GET IT! theres different tan tones too :-) its for pale people like white people, but we can use it too and it adds life to the brown skin we have and gives it a glow-- like those asian/black mixed girls or native/black girls. our skin is already even tone-- this adds EXTRA color. try it

  • Michael Jackson did not want to be black. See the chin, eyes, and especially the nose and skin.

  • @tkathryyn perhaps, but i guess none of us is really inside his mind, so i'm sure there were a whole plethora of complexities leading to that stance... n e who, i'm still glad i am

  • @tkathryyn Michael Jackson had Vitiligo thats why his skin was so white in his latter years. but him and his family did change their facial features to more european looking features

  • @Applebaum So Michael Jackson had Vitiligo, soo..why did he choose to be Light like his Vitiligo rather than choose his original tone. Was his light patch of skin more desirable than the dark tone? My color is yellow, and if I had white patches or dark patches, I would cover them that would match my original skin tone. Was Michael Jackson's Vitiligo's so severe that he had no choice but to just patch whatever dark skin he had remaining? If that's so, then it's understandable.

  • not alot of black peopel would say this aloud..instead they try to mass in false self-righteousness and self destructive behavior... i commend you sister on telling the true..you are beautiful inside and out

  • I can admit when I was younger I wished like I prayed to God to make me dark skin. I wasn't white enough to fit in and I wasn't dark enough to fit in. I wanted to belong. Being biracial is hard sometimes and yes their are people out there that think that lighter skin blacks have it easier and we don't...if anything it is a world of haters that don't understand that we are black too. I love who I am and that took time to understand me as a person and as a whole! Thanks Suga U Betta Say It!! :O)

  • get some help

  • @AveolarD get help for what exactly

  • are you a transsexual?

  • I WANT TO BLEACH MY HAIR INTO A PURE WHITE COLOR...THERE I SAID IT!!!

  • that's not ture im half Asian half black and i would like to be fully black. i have also seen alto of wigger's so their are people not black or not fully black that would like to be black. also another question how many people that are not white would actually want to be white?

  • OMG I was bought to tears :")

  • girl you made me cry cuz you spitin the real. i feel every word to sayin like it truly speaks to my soul. you have made me a stronger person. thank you

  • U need bigger ear rings

  • You're such a huge inspiration for a LOT of people talking like that.. I think this is a very important topic and not everyone has the balls to say all the things that you said so.. Keep it up iike that.. You're awesome:)

  • Get it. Thank you.

I knew all of this, but I've been busy lately to the point where I have forgotten a lot of who I am, especially my artistic mind set.

And this video has made me realize that I am a little bit of a Rihanna hater lol. I dislike her for a few reasons, but some of it is because she does her, and I put myself on hold a lot, just so that I can please others.

Again, thank you for the message :)

  • I love you Shira, period.

  • you look black, you could not pass for white

  • @peewee1104 was i implying that i could? that wasn't the undertone of the video ...

  • @peewee1104

You ignoramus she could easily pass as Portuguese or even Afghani or Moroccan. She's obviously mixed up on the face and in the head (thank God) unlike some narrow minded people one can think of...

  • i have thick eyebrows and a very oval face and i shaved off my eyebrows and drew them on so i can look "sexy" but i hated the drawn on eyebrows after watching this i realize my trademark is my thick eyebrows, oval face, big teeth,

  • your natural hair can still look jacked up. it's all about taking care of your hair, natural or relaxed.

  • I want you to know you are amazing!...u speak to me each time i listen. keep speaking to us girl...dont stop!

  • omg I love this video... Made me cry a lil.. I %100 agree wit you, I wanted to be lighter skin when I was younger, and I hated my curly hair.. Now I love myself..and wouldn't change a thing! Thanks 4 makin these videos!

  • sugarfree i want to hug this woman.not because she made a great spech, deep insight into racial america butt because she is a beautiful woman. not black, white or whatever. and yes i WOULD want to be black to prove to her that black is beautiful even though i'm colombian and yes i would go through all the suffering that she went through. everyone is here because they are meant to be here.

  • @cfG21 You could hav said you are a Colombian that has African ancestry as well lol

  • @chsn09 even though my paternal grandfather may be partly black and my cousins are afro colombian i got the european phenotype 100%. off-white colored with hazel eyes. if i stay in door enough i get light enough to be mistaken for caucasian as long as i don't open my mouth lol then all of a sudden their smiles turn into frowns. My maternal grandmother's parents are from spain and i could fight for Spanish citizenship by law. point is that everyone is meant to be here: white black or asian.

  • @cfG21 Oh I see. True

  • @cfG21 thank u. but, the point of this video was presisely what you said: to show folks to accept who they are... yet at the same time, help people understand there's nothing wrong with living in a world that is the way it is, because that, too, is just as real as the fact that we are meant to be here; in fact, we are meant to expierence a sort of disjointedness with who we really are, just to come to the realization (through trial and trib.) that it's just fine the way it is...that was my aim

  • @SugarFreeTV k, so now that we got that out of the way... r u single? how would you feel about dating a colombian? ; )

  • OMG, you remind me of my sister! I agree with the points you made in this video. Some people should learn how to happily accept whatever God gave them and learn how to work with what they got.

  • Im confused. Before you said you were raised to look at all people the same but u wanted to be white? I thought u said in another video that you thought all black people were equal i dont get it. you say you and dark skinned blacks are no different but you saw the difference in you and whites Im not understanding. You're almost right in the middle of an Amrican black and a white. Im confused. I love your videos though

  • @mskrys419 (part 1 of 2) when i was five years old, i asked my parents for one black barbie, and one black ken - i had noticed that i had all white ones, and that there had been a distinction made in my life thus far that i wasn't white - yet, there were options, so i wanted the option to embrace what i knew. just bc my parents raised me to have pride in the difference, didn't necessarily mean that the world fostered the pride ... that said

  • @mskrys419 (part 2 of 2) you are socialized by your environments. at home is very different from the real world. this is why sometimes children of affluent households still get a hold of drugs albeit not seemingly near any. growing up in an all white neighborhood is challenging, and no amount parenting replaces experiences. last, who i am now and how i view the world is i direct result of this blended socialization. i'll send u an inbox if this is unclear or still confusing.

  • People really need to think about what these terms like white and black mean. Once people realize what these terms mean and imply then understanding humanity and the HUMAN RACE will become more of the pedestal by which the world lives in and in which people can work more towards equality but of course until then everything I said is probably wishful thinking. TO each their own.

  • dam, "it was dursty". she lucky she wasnt on the bus with some of the ppl i went to school with. she woulda been flammed on the spot.

  • you wanted to be white bcause you grew up in OH(i did too by the way).

  • This video speaks the truth

  • I overstand you.

  • its obvious you dont like being black look at the man your with. Its obvious you try to stay far away from blacks.

  • You've got me pegged! Thank u for thinking and living for me. It's obvious I no longer have to do any of that now that you know every detail of my life choices. @mitalkditingsdem

  • @SugarFreeTV HAHA! That was one good lol-worthy reply!

  • @mitalkditingsdem How does she hate being black when the man she said she is with is probably mixed with black himself? You should not jump to ignorant conclusions about someone hating themselves because they associate with other peoples.

  • I think that was a big generalization because you felt and your circle of friends felt they wouldn't choose to be black that ALL blacks feel that way. I, and most whites that are not racist think that blacks are the most colorful, artsy, and not stiff. We are REAL!. The most watched housewives is Housewives of Atlanta . Every creative thing we invented & put down has been pick up by whites & try to claim it, break dancing, mix scratching, jazz, slang, ect. even our hairdos dreds twists fro braid

  • @teckyone yes, but i often make generalizations that pertain to me, because i'm the only one who's lived my life and as such, i can only speak for myself... it is true, i'm sure all blacks don't feel that way, but i also don't think truly there is anything in this world that goes for 'everyone' (except birth and death), right?

  • I've lived all over the world in the military and had 2 live with different cultures. Blacks look different, cool. Mostly All white girls want to b blonde and blue eyed to include paris Hilton, ( No her hair aint blonde and her real eyes are brown) Most white girls who don't sport blonde hair have TRIED it, but didn't look right. The reason" blondes" look good is because it is a camouflage white girl color, it diminishes big noses corrects googly eyes and makes them ALL cookie cutter

  • If blacks could turn white tomorrow, you'd prob, look uglier than u THINK u r now.except your hair. Check out the next white girl you see on the street (NOT on TV) They have big crooked noses, no lips, no cheeks, no neck and IF you were LUCKY 2 be cute u would only be cute until 30yrs old, then you CRACK! U would have LESS racial hatred toward u, but u wouldn't b blessed 2 look like Victoria Secret. Average white girls r not cute. I get compliments from all races, esp. white girls!

  • I actually DO want to be black. But I live next door to some trifulin' N**az that sell drugs, pants down to the ground....ALL that. I live in a mostly white community. They are EMBARRASSING to me. I WANT to be BLACK. I DO NOT want to be a dumb azz n***a and hope that the other races in my hood don't think that my N*** neighbors are "B.L.A.C.K" because to me, they are NOT! To me any SHADY person of any race is a N!

  • @teckyone sweety thats called being ghetto... Im pretty sure bush would be embarrassed to live next to hillbillies.... I dont like ghetto people either, thats why I stay out of the ghetto .. the nieghborhood i live in mostly black-- but its not ghetto(downtown charleston near the harbor)... ghetto people give the rest of us a bad name sense they have become the stereotype for how we all act

..... YEAH-- i dont like ghetto

  • FANTASTIC...SHIRAJ

  • I feel where you are come'n from as far as being teased for being different when you were younger but I guess we all have dif. life experiences. As a light skinned womean I always wanted to be darker. I can't ever say I didn't want to be black b/c I always saw the beauty in our race and how everyone wants the natural assests we have ie. big lips, big butt, rythm, style swagger. There is a reason why way back when the white artist actually stole our music. They wanted what we had.

  • @rosieparez SOME OF GUYS HAVE SERIOUS ISSUES

  • i think i want the super lazer black ding dong bazoukah gun hhahaha

  • okay after thinking of the matter i really want something black in my life ,in my body maybe;)

  • how about we go and have coffe u and me after u unblock me okay i just wana know something personal i mean u do what ever comes on ur mind hmmmm what will u think off if there was a hmmm ;0

  • okay now i think u have donkeys having sex in ur head?i mean ur talking like a 6 year old girl grow up sweety u look sexy and great but those earings wtf ?

  • okay suger free wtf ever ur name is ??am only ur friend i mean u can have a neck damage from those earings they can crack ur neck they are heavy second i think they look good in a ninja kunfu movie, good killing weapons :)

  • okay am mad u fucking blocked me why ??? just because i cant spell grrrrrrrr, and u say be ur self ,any 1 who gave me a bitch comment well its okay i forgive u am good and second i like her batman emergency call ring but i hate her earings am not telling her to remove them i just dnt like them am only saying my opinion okay .

  • I LOVED BEING BLACK AS A CHILD. I WANTED TO BE IN THE SUN ALL THE TIME TO GET DARKER AND I AND TELLING YOU THE TRUTH. THE THING IS I WAS NOT RAISED RIGHT. I WAS TAUGHT THAT WE THE BLACK RACE WAS BEAUTIFUL AND SUPERIOR TO OTHER RACES I DIDN'T REALIZE THAT I WAS NO MORE BEAUTIFUL OR BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE UNTIL I BECAME AN ADULT.

  • You're just black?... I Heard you speaking spanish In one of your videos. Also you have a chonga accent. (No offense).... Are you just black? or are you afro-latino? (Confused)

  • I have to say something about what you said about not wanting to be black,I was born a Latino male but however if I was born a black man I would not have absolutely any problem with it,white people don't have it any easier as you said that is your opinion.Whites enslaved and tortured and killed so why on earth would anyone not want to be black?

  • SPEAK SISTA SPEAK!!!! beautiful

  • Im white I have it kinda hard here in Oakland WAHHH! but its cheap baby! Your videos make me feel happy about me no matter where I want to be.

  • This was a very intriguing video.

  • We love your video! You are speaking the truth!

  • I love this vid. Omg I love this Vid...Idk what else to say. This touched me soo deep. Thank you for posting. :)

  • anyone fansies being an arab.... :D

  • i just wanted to tell you that i have never seen a stronger woman then you!

I noticed that my mouth was open cause i was listening sooo badly!

    I love your honesty!

I'm not black ( spanish) but i know what you mean!!!

An by the way... YOU LOOK BEAUTIFUL!!!

Keep being you, and do what you want cause it makes you true!

    LOVE IT!!!

    xoxo Carolina!

  • genuine blacks have dark skin, curly hair, flat noses and other negroid features the woman in the video is very light skinned and almost European.

  • Comment removed

  • If i may enquire how do you feel being very light skinned and different from the genuine blacks ? I mean no offense.

  • @MrAugustus88 Exactly how does one know if they are a "genuine black"?

  • omg, you are so real, and you're well spoken and intelligent . you should be a activist =)

  • I'm black and this would be the race i'd want to be realtalk

  • soooooo trueeeeeeeeeeeee PREACH SISTAA dis is what i needed!! I laughed so hard btw. Imma subcribe ur a great person I wish more ppl would be like u <3

  • Wow. I find it hard to believe that a sista as gorgeous as you could ever want to be anything other than your-self. Malcolm X said the greatest victory this society ever scored over the black man and woman is to teach us how to hate ourselves.

  • i am a black person who loves rock/metal. I called an oreo, that i dont have soul, but i love myself and my beliefs and values. My entire highschool is black so i hear it a lot. but its cool. this series of videos has really inspired me, because my mom always tries to tell me how to dress. it gets on my nerves but im about to go to college so i won't have to listen anymore

  • Comment removed

  • i wanna be black

  • u make me feel really better about myself, because im 14 african american girl and im thin no fat at all, just that i have big muscles in my legs, i used to walk around in school and go look at other girls legs and say "mannn i want those legs so bad",because i used to think that i didnt looked feminine enough to even be a girl, but now im starting to learn that i have to accept what i got and i might say i want it so bad but im probubly never gonna get it,so i accept my legs and myself

  • Comment removed

  • im getting my degree in Africana Studies too! u go girl. where did u go?

  • I totally want to be black sometimes. Some days that is just how I feel, and I can't really rock a fro with this straight caucasian hair without killing it. I love being me though, and some days I'm Aretha Franklin, you know?

  • OHIO!!!!!!!!!!

  • Preach Preach

  • the perm thing touched me

  • i lovvvvvvvvvvvve this video... u are inspiring... :]

  • I've been punkrock! I still am, just not as loud. I dress how i please & yes sometimes people look at me as if to say "what are you wearing?" & i just think well we're all different so why can't we show it & what's stopping us? People may not like what i wear, but then again at times i don't like what they wear.. it's a free country to think what you like & to dress how you wish to dress. Fashion is an expression of personality.. & as old as that sounds it is actually true. :D

  • "so you got the perm and you still dont have the hair you want? DAMN. Aint that tragic?" ..................girl preach!!!! i LOVE you!!

  • I love being black and spanish

  • i am rican:) i was upset being rican in my younger grades now i am in 8th And i embrace and love it. I hated it because of all the shit i would hear from people as i do now.But its all because they are hater/bitters on low! I love that i am RICAN. I love the message! you bring to your videos>> embrace and be who you want to be:) which is what i live by..because i dont give i do what i want and please to be what i am

  • I really commend you for this video! Saying that you didn't want to be black is a very bold and honest statement. I can honestly say that I have never hated being black, but I have had to confront other insecurities that perpetuate as self hatred. I agree with you 100% in encouraging people to be who they are and to work with what they have. We so frequently overlook our own special gifts because we are trying to chase down what others have....thats why so many people are unhappy!

  • that's absolutly shite when i walk down the street i saw a lot of white people with black style the way they talk and dress no one can tell me that i'm lying even some celebity such as EMINEM, FERGIE, and the guy in WEST-WOOD and many other.

  • @nomolos777 There's a difference between didn't & don't. She said she didn't wanna b black, but now she embraces it fully. If she said don't, maybe ur comment would be on point.

  • @nomolos777 you listened so well to my video! i think you deserve a cookie

  • @SugarFreeTV please girl, its a myth white people dont want to be black. So what if they tan their skin, that dont mean they want to be us. Black people come in diff shades, and guess what so dont asian, hispanic, etc. So why is the assumption that white people want to be black that is just dumb. I listened to the video. you said, it right. Some people lack listening skills.

  • @SugarFreeTV

    lol

  • @SugarFreeTV well said Shira!!!!!!!!!

  • Geez..I wanna write evrything you said on the piece of paper and put it in front of my mirror so i could read it every day! I sometimes hate the way I am me ,how fat I am,or how the acne on my face made me looks horrible...but thanks to you...that it not gonna happen no more.

  • y u got 2 different earings itd look beter wit em matchin

  • I want to be black. Seriously. No joke. I hate being white. Yeah! I will tell you about it.

  • @wondergirlsy and when someone tells you who they are....believe them. i don't doubt you but you don't have to hate being white either lol

  • I love this video. You have inspired me beyond belief. Thank you! I needed to hear this.

  • all of these celebrities have a stylist.. who are they really? the dont even express themselves.. the truth.. mad late and i feel like going outside and smacking sense into ppl

  • To use an analogy, white folks went to the shop (Africa) and bought some 'blank' CD's' (Africans) took them home (to America) and put them in the stereo! As long as the CD knew it was different from the owner (the slave master) then it was independent - But the moment the CD was put out on the street (Freed!) it started to absorb and record whatever was in the environment (which was white culture!) Somebody need to tell the blank CD there was something on it before it was owned!

  • @EnglishFever i see what your saying, but what i meant is that when europeans went into asian countries they enforced their superiority and left certain attitudes like lighter skin color is seen as "better" i saw Jessica Simpson's new show about beauty and in cambodia {i think} an asian woman was bleaching her skin to be fairer b/c fair skin is more beautiful

  • @sweettoothmakeup This is really sad, light skin is more beautiful to you and other black or colored women, because you don't have an 'image' to base yourselves on, white people have the magazines, movies... BUT! Black men (most of them) and Asian men (most of them) don't go around saying they want to be like white men, have fair skin, straight hair etc. So it's basically a female thing, where women are just ''following'' the image... Black women cracked a long time ago, thats the imbalance.

  • @EnglishFever No its NOT more beautiful to me i said beautiful as in preferred in that culture. this is an issue that i've seen in the black community. I've had black men (several) say i'm pretty for a dark skinned girl. y cant they say i'm pretty bc im pretty?. black men might not want to be white but look who's on the arms of black athletes, actors, or in the music videos. You see many light, mixed, or other raced women with these men. I wish everyone could see beauty in ALL colors.

  • I am from Austria and since I was 3 years old my favourite sport was basketball! My Idol was Michael Jordan and my favourite movie of course space jam, which I first saw with 7! And i thought that being black was so pretty and beautiful, that i decided to wake up black the next morning.. well it didn't happen :) so at school the next day our teacher asked us what we want to be when we grow up! I stood up and said I want to be black!..silence... then my class teacher send me to the principals off

  • PREACH!!! Well said!

  • Thanks for the positive message!!!

  • AMEN!!

  • I feel u sis. But this is what happens when the mind is programmed by media. Sad u had to tell urself and others this when it should be common sense. I was there once upon a time too. Though I cant remember ever not wanting to be black. Interesting; but cant relate to folks who feel like this.

  • I think Christina Agulera already did a song about this. The tragedy called the psyche of western culture. Damn shame. Hot mess. U pretty though sis-sorry u dont want to be black-looks good on u. Look better than white folks with saggy skin who start aging at 30.

If we thought logically we would see clearly that its stupid to want to be white. Their genetics r fked up! Thats why they play this mind control game thru media to brain wash ppl to believe they are better. Step out of the Matrix.

  • I like Blond ..Smile
