2 Eon's and a sub would have sufficed and a little wire management on your truss would be very helpful for future bookings. Just a little advise, other than that, great gig log. Keep it up.

Work on your cord management on your setups. The lighting cords all over the truss looks very messy and disorganized. A clean look to your equipment from the guests perspective makes a HUGE difference (and good for rebookings!)

Now the questions:

1. I see many DJ's doing Giglogs. What is the reason behind them?

2. I don't go anywhere without a Sub. The sound quality without one is well below what I believe what a Pro DJ should be delivering. Tops alone maybe loud but you just don't get any depth to the music you are playing.

Am I the only one who can hear the difference in quality?

Please give me your input.

There is a difference in sound but...when you know where you are performing and the the count. Also I do a special arrangement of speakers. I have two older jbls that are "broke in" they go in the maiidle and my two newer onjes go on the outside. I also set them a little lower than normal so the bass is chestier than normal. There were also 70 kids supposed to come and 40 showed. Lastly it is sometimes about pay and expectations. We can gig log that at another time. P

I had a similar experience last year. I was told 70 people and only 30 showed. managed to get 10 people on the dance floor at one point but most of the time we only had 10% of the guest dancing.... shocking.

All my gigs get sold with a Sub... I make sure people understand it's absolutely necessary. I sell it effectively, but lets face it's just an extra 50 bucks. When you consider the Thousands they spend on a mediocre buffet 50 bucks is nothing.

Ok... Now I get to add my 2 cents now that DJ Phil has answered all of his comments on this video. lol. Seriously, in our area you're lucky if ANY DJ's bring Subs. But, if you've never heard 4 Eon's, the bass is pretty amazing. And most clients don't know the difference between Top Ends, and Subs. Phils been doing those gigs for like EVER! So, he must be doing "something" right. lol, but thanks for the tips.

You don't need subs for every gig ,some two way speakers or 5 way speakers have build in subs and they sound great . the Eon's DJ Phil was the right set up for that gig. Remember louder is not always better and if you use your mixing board right you can get good bass sound from tops.

The ColorStrip filters are actually frosted Lexan. The Lexan is frosted completely through the thickness of it, so it won't wear off like a coating would.
