I don't like polygamy because it seems unfair... one man will have multiple spouses but the multiple spouses get stuck with one man. Why should a man have 3 wives but the women only one husband? Where is the variety for the women? If anything I prefer the idea of polyamory or some other alternative. I wouldn't mind my husband having another wife as long as I can have another husband and we call all be married. Brother husbands and sister wives.
No, sex is not my motivation for polygamy. To be honest, I don't want or need polygamy but I just defend the rights of others to want to live it. I found that there can be good ways to practice it. I also find a lot of prejudice against it that are based on reasons that are FIXABLE for the most part rather than just BANNING it altogether.

That's why poly should not be started and based just on what the MAN wants but should be started based on what the WIFE wants, as well. Take swingers who experience little jealousy and at times enjoy watching their partners have sex with others. This shows that human behavior can be conditioned to not experience much jealousy in multiple partner settings.

Well it's not about money as in greed, it's about money as in needing to get the bills paid. How else are you goiing to get bills paid without money? Having more than one wife is a burden, because women are known to be territory, in other words, they want their own house. That's why poly should not be started and based just on what the MAN wants but should be started based on what the WIFE wants, as well. Otherwise, you're going to have one person wanting it and the other not having a say. There are women out there who also want multiple wives and for their own reasons, even if the husband wants it ONLY for sex. Although there are examples of husbands who actually love and support their KIDS and wives so I find it hard to believe they want ONLY sex.

In fact, in the type of poly families I'm speaking about, they WANT extra companionship for social reasons. They like and wanted polygamy for just that so eventhough jealousy may come up but the good side of poly (the companionship and extra support) outweighed the bad. And in the poly I refer to the wives function like BEST FRIENDs because they were involve in choosing the 2nd and other wives, and interestingly those wives were their best friends.

If someone has jealousy then they need to work on resolving it, not hiding it. If you study jealousy from a cross-cultural perspective rather than your LiMiTED poly experience, you'd see that not everyone experiences jealousy the same way. Take swingers who experience little jealousy and at times enjoy watching their partners have sex with others. This shows that human behavior can be conditioned to not experience much jealousy in multiple partner settings.

A lot of men in denial think these polygamous women are actually happy with their situation. Do you think they really have a choice? In most societies, women don't have as many rights as in the West. They have to accept it and they are not going to admit on camera their true feelings. If you think a woman is okay with seeing her husband going to another woman's room everything other night and can probably hear them, then you are in denial. She doesn't want to see someone else having his kids too

From my experience based on testimony and documentaries, polygamy can be good financially if ALL adults are working and the family don't have too many kids. And of course, live under one house which can also help with unity.

Well it's not about money as in greed, it's about money as in needing to get the bills paid. How else are you goiing to get bills paid without money? And if a relationship or even just a household has 3 or more adults living together, why shouldn't ALL of them work? Personally every beings intimacy with other beings is exclusive to them, one culture vs another and so on, if it doesn't work, it's up to the practitioner's of that specific culture to alter polygamy/polgyny/monogamy, etc.. Besides, most men cannot financially afford more than one family so as a first wife if they marry your husband they will only make life harder dor you. Having more than one wife is a burden, because women are known to be territory, in other words, they want their own house. If I have 5 wives, that means I gotta work 5 times as harder to support five households plus 2 to 4 kids each. Now if you guys are rich, go ahead, but for the average man like me, NOT.

Women aren't as territorial as males since women are more social between each other. In other words, on average more women enjoy having companionship with others than men. That's also the same with some animals in the animal world, like with female lions. There are plenty polygamous families who live all under 1 house. And why should you be the only one that have to work? I'd say ALL adults would have to work and 3 or 4 incomes in a household is better than just 1 or 2 incomes

Which part of my comments are you calling nonsense? I'm not sure which documentaries or books you've concluded from to say that women in the same household under poly would be catty, but I've seen documentaries mainly of progressive Mormon White women who prefer to live in the same household. I suspect the poly familes YOU are referring to were ones were the wives had LITTLE say, whereas the wives I'm referring to had EQUAL say, including on which other women to bring in.
