What is the touch sensor in the back for?

It is used during the corn/uranium mission. After the robot gets the uranium, it turns and backs up until it's against the wall. This tells us that the robot actually hit the wall... there were times when the wheels would spin enough to leave rubber marks on the mat while doing this. The sensors were the only way to safely know when the robot was straight!
