@Blacksight1 It's is a way of counting in music meaning that instead of the beat going " 1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4" with kick usually on beats 1, snares of beats 3 and high hats on all beats.. in 7/4 the measures are just counted with 7 instead. making it like "1-2-3-4-5-6-7-1-2-3-4-5-6-7" with kicks on beat one, snares on the "&" of beat 2 and on beats 6. I encourage you to look up some "odd time meter/signature" drum lessons to get a better grasp on the structure
