I love how everyone says dragonforce still can't play their own stuff live. You obviously haven't been to a dragonforce concert since 2007. They did suck live when they were new. Their stuff is really challenging technique wise, and they were a now band, of course they were going to fuck up when playing live. But they've actually gotten alot better. A friend of mine was at a DF concert not long ago, and he said they made very few mistakes.

For one thing, this song came out before the official 2003 release of Dragonforce's label debut Valley of the Damned. Plus, it sounds more like Sonata Arctica, Stratovarius, and Helloween then anything else.

Dragonforce is ok... but... the songs become boring after you play them 2 or 3 times. All their songs sound too similar, and, to be honest, i don't like the vocal, he has good voice, but i don't like the way he sings... Anyways, i heard there's a new vocal, so, i don't know how their songs sound now.

The only thing that can really be compared is individual playing style and Syu obviously is more versatile than herman or sam XD Considering DF has been doing the SAME sound for 4 albums where as Syu has gone into many different sounds with his multiple bands <3

the only thing that Syu sort of repeats are the techniques he decides to use and even those are implemented much differently in each album =O

the 5 Galneryus albums and the Spinalcord album all bridge into different areas of Syu's abilites =O

Pretty much all of dragonforce's songs are about epic fast and a little video gamey =O they have a few that are sorta slow paced XD

I think Galneryus/spinalcord is more versatile though. Syu has too much in his arsenal XD
