  • Série estreada nos EUA em 6 de setembro de 1969. Foi exibida no Brasil pela TV Record com o título traduzido literalmente, "Falcões do céu".

  • Ah, the memories, it's sad that the stupid FCC pulled it. those bastards ( I night be wrong if that's what happened ) it's the only cartoon besides hot wheels that was never seen again.

  • This was the cartoon that added to my interest in flying. Wow, am I old!

  • where is a fan site???

where is the DVD on all 17 eps???

    torrent or megaupload???

    do something with this!!!!

  • CBS Television Distribution had television rights to the series.

  • I always watched just to hear the sound of the B-26 engines. Good show, very educational--better than the crap kids have to watch nowadays.

  • This cartoon series was produced for ABC-TV's 1969-70 Saturday morning line-up

from Ken Synder Prods,,as well as using the gifted talents of the late great comic

book artist/charecter designer Alex Toth-who had a hand with "SPACE ANGEL",

"SPACE GHOST", and ultimately most of Hanna-Barbera's Super Hero shows of

that time. "SKYHAWKS" is indeed very RARE! it has not been seen, since it was

on ABC,,and it was part of Worldvision Enterprises' TV syndication library, which

    is now part of CBS-Paramount.

  • Never heard of this before (before my time) but I admit they seem to have done a good job rendering the planes.

  • @brianblackberry My dad used to talk about this cartoon and how well the planes were rendered.

  • Another series that is gone to history and never come out on dvd

  • I was hooked on this when I was a kid....Got me into airplanes....Thanks for the flash-back......

  • @PatBALEX Awesome thanks for letting me know agout this sweet..

  • This was one of my favorites when I was six or seven. I always liked how realistically the planes were depicted.

  • Wow....loved this show since I had a fascination for aviation. Too bad it had such a limited run. Oh well....still love Jonny Quest. It's hard to imagine THAT show only ran for one year.

  • Memories!

  • I remember the SkyHawks! I watched them and "Hot Wheels" every sat. Boy, those were the days.

  • Frankenstein, Jr. was also banned because parents felt it was too violent. Jeez, Louise, what about Jonny Quest? Every week, someone died a violent death, but no one screamed to have it banned. Go figure.

  • Did Doug Wildey do the animation for this series? The characters looked like something out of Jonny Quest.

  • If SKYHAWKS and HOT WHEELS came out on DVD I'd buy them faster than SKYNET's decision on what to do to Humanity was!

  • It would be wonderful if "Skyhawks" would air on either Cartoon Network or their sister network, Boomerang.

And to have the classic series available on DVD as well.

  • Never watched the cartoon but remember the song. it was shown on sunday mornings, the day I had to go for swimming lessons. Nice... Thanks for uploading.

  • Where did you find this? This was the stuff back in the day.

  • I recently came across a Bootleg Copy of Two Episodes of this series and Three from HOT WHEELS (Both were made by the same Producer) A Children's Television Advocacy Group was responsible for getting these Cartoons BANNED in 1971!:(

  • Actually, The FCC was responsible for the demise of toons like Linus The Lionhearted and Hot Wheels

  • WOW!!! I remember that show very well!!!

It came on before Hot Wheels on ABC TV.

    Any DVD Copies of "SKYHAWKS"?

  • Actually, I think it came on AFTER Hot Wheels.

  • Yeah, why would this show be banned? It doesn't look bad or offensive. I've never seen the show so I don't know if there is any gratuitous violence or sexism but it looks clean to me. Was their a toyline to go with this show?

  • They banned them because at the time the FCC considered a cartoon based on a toy line a "30 minute marketing ploy" by the toymakers. They dropped that rule in the 80's, which is shows like He-Man and G.I. Joe made it. But the decision wasn't retro, so they're still banned. Sucks doesn't it?

  • Ah, I thought so, if it get's banned it has a toyline to blame. That is really odd, so what if there was a toyline in the late 1960s to go along with a Saturday morning cartoon? So what if it's a "30 minute toy advert"? I though we lived in a capitalist country, who is the FCC to all of a sudden say nope, no TV show tie-ins to your favorite toys kids. You can't swing a dead cat in the US without seeing an ad for something! And Skyhawks is STILL banned in 2009!? Fuck the FCC!

  • Skyhawks wasn't banned. But Hot Wheels was.

  • @BlueKyne: Skyhawks is not still banned in the USA, it's just not that well-remembered because it hasn't been seen in a while. Also, I don't remember it being banned by the FCC either; the series originally aired from September 6, 1969 to September 4, 1971 on ABC. So no, it's more a case of the latter reason I mentioned that what nonsense you said.

  • @Neville6000 Oh Heavens, I've offended you! I'm sorry. Right to the Naughty Corner for me then! I was told it was banned, if it wasn't then I was mistaken.

Do I still get some juice and cookies later? :,(
