I got 4 eneloop accus when i bought a camera 4 years ago, the camera broke down, accus still as first day. The money i saved with them i bought a new camera :)).
Can someone help me out? What is better, the new eneloop XX, or the normal eneloop. The normal eneloop has less discharge but the XX has a higher capasity. Which would be best if I was planning to use them in console controllers ie. xbox 360, Wii?
For people wondering if you can charge envelops with different chargers. They must be a NiMH charger and take into account that the faster the charger, the shorter the lifespan of the batteries. A 6h chargers difference to a 8-10h is neglectable to some. A 1-1/12h charger is not recommended, etc..
I have a Camelion BC-0907 Ultra-Fast Charger that charges 2700mAh batteries in 1.3 Hrs. Can I use the eneloops in this charger? Would charging them at such high current damage them?
Like others have posted, ive had great results with the Eneloops. I bought a number of the large costco packs and use them for pretty much everything.
I use Eneloop batteries in my camera and they last a long time before they have to be charged again. These batteries have been around since 2006 and still they are the best choice.
i want to buy some too, should i get the 2 pack with wall/usb charger for 15 free shipping or should i get the 4 pack with charger for $25 plus shipping??? is it worth the extra 15 bucks??
Actually Eneloops do not lose their charge when they are in storage to nearly the same extent that others do.
Also to say that any Ni MH battery is the same couldn't be further from the truth.
All rechargeable batteries deliver less than the optimal 1.5V, but Eneloops are able to stay closer for longer than any other rechargeables that I've used including Duracell, Energizer, any many other Ni MH AA cells over the years.
yes, they are revolutionary. They have added a special wrap which allows the battery to hold it's charge for a much longer length of time. Rather than standard NiMH rechargeables losing most of their charge in 6 weeks the eneloops can hold 75 percent of their charge for a year when not in use. This mean these batteries can now be used in clocks, remotes and other slow drain devices. The powerex Imedion can hold 85 percent of their charge after a year when not in use.
@jblackrupert Let me explain.... eneloops are LSD (low self discharge) NiMH batteries. Eneloops have been independently tested and retested and were found as having the lowest internal resistance of any rechargeable AA battery. Regardless of chemistry. This is why eneloops can deliver 10+ amps of current without being damaged and can hold their charge for LONG periods of time unlike many other NiMh batteries. They are the BEST because they have to lowest internal resistance.
eneloop's are great!

You'll appreciate Eneloops more if you use regular(Non-LSD) NiMH first.
It keeps you from top-off re-charging over & over because you worry that the batteries you are about to use maybe near empty.
You'd be confident the batteries are near full capacity after 1 year(85%), or 2 year(75%) of non-use.
Having said that, I still top-off all my batteries once a year or so.

There's also a really great, compact USB Eneloop Recharger that can charge two AA as well as AAA Eneloops.
Check it out if you travel a lot or just want something you can take with your laptop.

Is it ok to charge this batteries with a charger of a different brand?
xavyerk 1 year ago
@xavyerk Yes, I used my energizer to charge my eneloop. No problem at all.
wumingkkk 1 year ago
@xavyerk As long as it's a NiMH battery charger that supports charging 2000mAh batteries or higher voltages than you should be fine.

Only 2 channels for 4 batteries? What a piece of junk. Invest in a good charger/tester and it really helps the batteries' lifespan.

FTW!!!

These 2650mAH duracell batteries are not that good. After 1 week, fully charged batteries become depleted.

Thinking about picking some up, but first, one question:
Can you charge them using a Energizer rechargable Ni-MH battery charger?
RaccoonMario64 2 years ago
yes if charger says so, for nimh batteries.

A long winded way of saying buy Nickel-metal hydride battery instead of standard Nickel-cadmium ones.
These have been out for MANY MANY YEARS. theres nothing special a
Sanyo "Eneloop" which is just a brand name for Nickel-metal hydride batteries.
These are not revolutionary in any way.
