i just saw this movie and i can say i am pretty impressed... Although at the beginning i thought it was very twisted, at the end i realized that it had deeper meanings. For example the impact that society has to people, that humans if they are isolated they become like animals and so on and so forth! I believe it is worth an Oscar for its unique script!

Psychosis, blood, violence, incest, absurdness--really great stuff! I can't wait to watch this garbage! As if we don't already have enough of this, we have to spend money and resources to produce more and then put it on a big screen for people to applaud it.
This movie is not meant to be taken literally; it's about the human kind and how it interacts with the enviroment it has created for itself. It's symbolic, and if you try to open your mind and associate the events taking place with your own life to the way the whole human society works, you might understand it's true meanings. Everything you see and think it's twisted, is nothing more than a humourous caricature of things you already experience without realising how ridiculous they truely are..

Having seen a good deal of films in 2010, this still rests at the top of my list. Not only is it unlike anything else I have seen all year, but also, it was one of the films I could not stop talking about. The concept is brilliant, the film feels surreal, and I was literally disturbed and blown away by the ending. This trailer is superbly done, and the music intercut with the scenes gives you a strong feeling of unease. Since it can't win Best Picture, it truly Best Foreign Film.

@rafacarr Actually, it's based on true facts which did happen in Greece once upon a time, so there was plenty of inspiration in local lore without resorting to other films. But really, the film was an allegory, it doesn't matter if the "facts" are true or not. or if the skeleton of the story is original.
This film is incredible, very disturbing and difficult to watch but at the same time has some real moments of humour that had me belly laughing. A compeling piece of work

i just saw this movie and i can say i am pretty impressed... Although at the beginning i thought it was very twisted, at the end i realized that it had deeper meanings. For example the impact that society has to people, that humans if they are isolated they become like animals and so on and so forth! I believe it is worth an Oscar for its unique script!

This movie is not meant to be taken literally; it's about the human kind and how it interacts with the enviroment it has created for itself. It's symbolic, and if you try to open your mind and associate the events taking place with your own life to the way the whole human society works, you might understand it's true meanings. Everything you see and think it's twisted, is nothing more than a humourous caricature of things you already experience without realising how ridiculous they truely are..

Having seen a good deal of films in 2010, this still rests at the top of my list. Not only is it unlike anything else I have seen all year, but also, it was one of the films I could not stop talking about. The concept is brilliant, the film feels surreal, and I was literally disturbed and blown away by the ending. This trailer is superbly done, and the music intercut with the scenes gives you a strong feeling of unease. Since it can't win Best Picture, it truly Best Foreign Film.

Hands down, this is the dummest, stupidist, waste of time movie I have ever watched, EVER! And I mean that - 45 years old and this heap of %^%& takes the cake. It's not funny, not sad, not serious, not happy, not nothing but fucking boring. And the odd nude scene isn't going to change that.

Claiming a film is of bad quality (and being abusive on youtube) because you found it boring, or not funny is personal to you and says nothing about the film only your taste. Unless you can break the film down properly everything you say is pretty pointless.

@rafacarr Actually, it's based on true facts which did happen in Greece once upon a time, so there was plenty of inspiration in local lore without resorting to other films. But really, the film was an allegory, it doesn't matter if the "facts" are true or not. or if the skeleton of the story is original.
