Pointless argument. We can explain everything except the very first moment of time. Which is why deism is very popular. No god had to design me specifically my dna did that. Same for everything that ever lived. Same for the sand on a beach though not "dna" but other things we know of.
No energy had to be created or always exist. Explain a reason for either of those and you've found god. I do not think you will find an intelligent being but an inherent property of existence.

We do not believe in god because we cannot explain its existence. We can observe air, measure it, watch it's effect and directly link it back to what we observe. We cannot observe or measure god. Supernatural is outside the realm of science because it is not testable. You assume it exists with no way to observe this existence, simply because you were raised to think that way, or it makes sense to you.

One major problem here. There is no evidence of Nazareth existing at the time of Jesus as explained in the bible. With the exception of a few pieces of pottery after a century of digging. No cathedral, no nothing. Just some pottery which could have been planted or simply left there from a few nomads who died around there.

I believe there is a god, I just believe that God has to be found and you can't find God in a book. I believe God is a lot closer to us than we realize and we have just haven't TRULY done a search and we were looking int the wrong places.

For existence to exist there must be an inherent property that allows for this existence. The same logic applies to an intelligent being. I just skip the middle man. If God were to appear to earth and solve all conflicts, cure all disease, whatever, then we would all look around and say THERE IS A GOD! I would think that the only logical position without using faith is agnostic since you cannot know if there is or is not a God based on physical evidence.
That is a confusion of the word "agnostic," and "atheist". An agnostic denies that is is possible to know if there is or about God. An atheist does not have a belief in God. They are both compatible because they deal with different issues and many people are both.

To say that there is no God takes just as much faith as to say that there is one. The only intellectually honest answer is to say that we do not know, and may never be able to know. I do not try to define what God is, only that he may indeed exist. All observable evidence and physical laws predict that the universe is finite and began at some point in the past most likely 14.5 billion years ago. If the universe began someone or something created it, if there is a creator I would call that God.
I do not bear any grudge to Christianity, just to insane Christians. You obviously are not one as you do not belive obsessivly in the bible. Also you, like many seam to think that the Bible is a translation of a translation of a translation which is simply not true. Most English translations are from the Greek and Hebrew texts, not other English translations. The only exception worthy of note is the New King James Version which is a translation of the 'old' King James Version. The New International Translation for example was translated from the Greek and Hebrew in the 1970's and is a more accurate translation than King James.
The only other thing I would point out is that you obviously were not around several thousand years ago when the oldest parts of the Bible were written so it is unfair for you to say that they did not know what they were talking about at the time. You may disagree with them but that does not mean that they were idiots. Keep that in mind and you will be a more effective debater.

One of the biggest reasons why I cant believe in a God is that a baby would even be born without a functioning lung...so if he is real, hes like a little kid deciding which ant he wants to crush and which one to leave alone. Pointless argument. We can explain everything except the very first moment of time. Which is why deism is very popular. No god had to design me specifically my dna did that. Same for everything that ever lived. Same for the sand on a beach though not "dna" but other things we know of.
No energy had to be created or always exist. Explain a reason for either of those and you've found god. I do not think you will find an intelligent being but an inherent property of existence.

One word: Air. We believe that we breathe air but it clearly is something that we don't see with our eyes and there is no historical documentation of anyone seeing it. We believe that people like Freud and Einstein were right (because we could see them, there are historical "facts" about them, and they were humans who are obviously always correct). We do not believe in god because we cannot explain its existence. We can observe air, measure it, watch it's effect and directly link it back to what we observe. We cannot observe or measure god. Supernatural is outside the realm of science because it is not testable. Atheism is a rejection of religious explanations of the universe. Religionists are submitting an explanation of how the universe works with no rationale, observation or evidence, and we are simply rejecting it. 24,000 original manuscripts from the new testament? I don't think so. There are close 6,000 fragmentary manuscripts, some as small as a credit card, with a few glyphs on them, barely identifiably by experts to be versions, translations, palimpsests, sometimes even contradictory and apocryphal new testament accounts.

Here's a big failiability point for the bible.
"Jesus of Nazareth" He was raised in Nazareth.
One major problem here. There is no evidence of Nazareth existing at the time of Jesus as explained in the bible. With the exception of a few pieces of pottery after a century of digging. No cathedral, no nothing. Just some pottery which could have been planted or simply left there from a few nomads who died around there.

@ineabriate They don't find just "something",when I said they are finding "evidence", I mean they are finding specific evidence that corroborates the Biblical account of a given story. What gives here? Do you truly want to find truth, or are you simply interested in only those things that you think will support your attack of the Bible and it's message?? From what I can tell, you're more interested in winning an argument than finding truth. If I were in your position, I would want true evidence!

@OutdoorsBlackMan The first flaw in a search for god is the assumption that it is an intelligent being, and not an inherent property of the universe like gravity, inertia, etc.
For existence to exist there must be an inherent property that allows for this existence. The same logic applies to an intelligent being. I just skip the middle man. No reason for intelligence to be in itself an inherent property, gravity certainly isn't intelligent but it shapes magnificent planets & powers stars.

The other argument I've been hearing lately is that atheism is just another form of religion, as in you have "the faith" that there is no god. This argument is obviously wrong on so many levels, atheism is definitely not a religion its the opposite of it. I Those who believe that are either completely misunderstand what atheism is or are so caught up in their own religions believes they cannot imagine anyone living without some sort of a religion.

Easily done. Bow your head, call out to God and ask Him to reveal to you your sinful state, and reveal Himself to you in the same manner as He has done for millions of atheists/agnostics, who after having the reality of Him revealed to them, immediately converted. That it.
You have to do it for real, otherwise you are cheating (illogical thing to do).
Then you will know that Heaven exists.

BTW, faith is not just a religious thing. You live by it every day. Think about it. Christianoity is more than just faith, its about a realtionship. What you need to grasp is that I used to be you, until God touched my life, for real. Its very difficult to explain but the evidence in my changed life because of Him is clear to all.

No life on the planets. Nothing to worship or love so why would a god make planets with no life or use. You could say that earth uses the gravity from the other planets to stay in orbit. Dude, God gave us free-will so that we can be free to make the choice between Him or not. I've chosen to beleive Him, this guy hasn't, simple as that. If God were to appear to earth and solve all conflicts, cure all disease, whatever, then we would all look around and say THERE IS A GOD! I'VE GOTTA CONVERT, destroying the free-will and therefore, breaking His promise. God will come to earth and destroy all sin, but that will be when he's come to save those who love Him first.

I do not understand one thing about atheists. It seams to be an illogical position. I understand if you reject the authenticity of religious documents, but that is not evidence that there is in fact no God at all only that the religion is wrong. I would think that the only logical position without using faith is agnostic since you cannot know if there is or is not a God based on physical evidence.

That is a confusion of the word "agnostic," and "atheist". An agnostic denies that is is possible to know if there is or about God. An atheist does not have a belief in God. They are both compatible because they deal with different issues and many people are both.

Theism is the belief in God, or gods, atheism, as the structure of the word shows, is anti-theism or the belief that there is no God or gods, they are opposites. Many atheists try to redefine the word to mean that atheism simply means a lack of theistic beliefs, but that would be 'unthesim' not 'atheism' the prefix 'a' indicates an opposite. This would be like saying that the opposite of black is brown because we do not want to be labeled as white.

That is a rather silly argument Zoogler95, as obviously I can prove the existence of a pink dinosaur in my bag simply by looking in my bag, and one can disprove Santa by simply understanding that Santa is a fictional character created for children's stories. Magic is a very generic term but if you wanted to disprove a specific kind of magic it would not be very difficult since if people can control arcane forces, they should be able to demonstrate it. God is a bit different.

The problem with proving or disproving God, is that by his very definition he is beyond the scope of our universe, and it is difficult (if not impossible) to have a rational understanding of anything that is not bound by the laws of our universe. The only way to truly know if God created the universe would be to travel back in time to 14 billion years ago and witness the beginning or lack of a beginning or to travel beyond this universe. Witch currently is impossible to do either.

Incorrect. There are many other ways to disproove God. One of these ways is to anlayse the evidence, or lack of evidence, and come to a rational conclusion. The bible is Christianities only source of facts and most of the information in it is utter rubbish. To say that there is no God takes just as much faith as to say that there is one. The only intellectually honest answer is to say that we do not know, and may never be able to know. I do not try to define what God is, only that he may indeed exist. All observable evidence and physical laws predict that the universe is finite and began at some point in the past most likely 14.5 billion years ago. If the universe began someone or something created it, if there is a creator I would call that God.

The problem with saying that it does not require faith to logically assume that there is no God, is that there is no evidence of this. One can logically deduce that there is a God just as easily as one can deduce that there is not a God.
Oh and as a matter of fact, I do believe that the Bible is accurate, however I do not subscribe to many foolish Christians who blindly follow Church doctrines rather than check it out for themselves.

Also you, like many seam to think that the Bible is a translation of a translation of a translation which is simply not true. Most English translations are from the Greek and Hebrew texts, not other English translations. The only exception worthy of note is the New King James Version which is a translation of the 'old' King James Version. The New International Translation for example was translated from the Greek and Hebrew in the 1970's and is a more accurate translation than King James.
