  • Since watching Black Books, this guy looks constantly drunk to me.

  • Arnold Schwarzenegger lifting the heavy thing ----------->

  • I am a Californian and I approved this message. Oh, and I'm sure you're all wondering who Schwarzenegger's predecessor was...his name is Gray Davis. Oh, and yes, he really was as bad as Dylan Moran painted him out to be. Things couldn't have gotten worse with Schwarzenegger...or so we thought...until they did.

  • yes, and we all know that athletes are mindless beef. there is something slightly odd about belittleling the intellectual prowess of a man that managed to get an mba.

  • @robertgaudlitz There's nothing odd about belittling anyone in comedy. You can't do humour and hang on to sacred cows.

  • @8DX not my point. comedy is a surprising twist on a truth. that is just not given in calling somebody with a masters degree who ran an entire state a dimwit.

  • @robertgaudlitz "comedy is a surprising twist on a truth". Comedy is a lot of things. Seems like you don't have much of a sense of humour.

  • @8DX sure, since everybody that doesn`t share your sense of it must have.

  • @jakpenders123 yes, i am aware that he is a comedian. but i didn't like the tone of that joke.

  • Well Arnold did quite a few thins in his life apart from lifting things. Dylan could have looked up his biography on Wikipedia, it takes about two minutes.

  • @topperheartramada Youre missing the point. He's a comedian, its a joke. He obviously knows Arnold did more than that in his life. Hes just doing his job, and very well i might add.

  • @topperheartramada you do know that it is a comedy routine don't you!!!!!

  • Awesome guy, super funny routine. I'm not a natural speaker but to me he sometimes sounds like he is drunk of his ass. Anybody else hear that slurring in his speech at times?

  • @MrManthy

he drinks while he does his standup, but it's probably mostly an affectation.

  • @MrManthy Its called being Irish!

  • Look at me, I can lift the heavy thing...

  • Интересно, что Арни поднимал предмета, зато Дилан молол языком ;)

  • "HOW DID THAT HAPPEN!?" XD

  • he looks like rod stewart

  • that sucked...

  • Schwarzenegger*

  • I almost peed myself at "can we eat it".

  • For some strange reason this guy reminds me of Severus Snape's actor Alan Rickman!

    Anyone else agree?

    Love this guy's humour!

  • the boss :))

  • This guy is awesome!!

  • Actually, Arnold got in precisely because the last guy really was that bad! He was so bad, that he got kicked out of office, and the following election had none of the standards. EVERYONE was running, mostly just for kicks :D

  • why does he sound kind of hammered?

  • @johnson1095 cause he is

  • @johnson1095 Because he's Irish!

  • @MrSmartypants

Well that would explain it lol

    most irishmen are drunks anyway

  • It's true, Gray Davis (the previous governor of CA) was recalled because everyone blamed him for California's poor financial situation following the 2001 recession. We then installed Arnold because he symbolized strength and awesomeness to our TV addled mush-brains.

  • 88 people put lego up their ass

  • I love that there are 88 dislikes...

    Two fat ladies?

  • This man is one of the sexiest men alive in my opinion

  • In 2005, a dutch ticket ticket lady at the Urban Museum said (smiling), "Your president is visiting our country today."

    "I'm so sorry. Really sorry."

She didn't charge me to get in!

  • Lol. He always tells the audience to " wait" when they start clapping

  • It's Dave from Shaun of the Dead :o

  • @squeezeslemons yep he is

  • Look how good I am at lifting the heavy thing in my underpants.

  • Haha, he's soo right. Luckily, Arnold isn't the governour anymore.

  • @Ruben65980 Arnold will always be the governator in our hearts.

  • There's something so sexy about his scruffy look.

  • @kiddrahul my mom even thinks so...and the creepiest thing is my dad thinks so too 0 - o

  • @durden4764 also the blonde chick at 1:24

  • So true

  • 3:08 She must've voted for Gray Davis.

  • 85 people have Lego up their arse.

  • @durden4764 She was obviously american!

  • i love him! woo is someone a little lit!?

  • 1:52 CC: five-year-old child molesters

    WTF?

  • HEY RUBBING PESTO ON YOUR LEGS I COMPLETELY NORMAL.

  • CC: Unload Schwartz ... is is the problem of California XD

  • CC: Unload Schwartz :)

  • Watch with 'cc' Captions Action - Audio transcribed... always good for an extra laugh.

  • @durden4764 lol i read this before i watched the video and thought it was a harsh comment about somebody, but no, spot on!

  • @93MickyD1 The two aren't mutually exclusive.

  • @durden4764 Arnie's predecessor (Gray Davis) was absolutely keelhauled because he tried to regulate the energy market in California. Numerous political tricks and filthy campaigns destroyed his credibility so that -when eventually the whole Enron thing happened - nobody cared that he had tried to prevent it all along. Typical story of a intentions destroyed by political games...

  • I've heard this delivery and timing before, but I can't name the comedian.

  • 0:09

  • 0:09

  • Arnold has always been a political man, he just didn't focus in that criteria at that given time. He's very good for being Governor and I don't see why he shouldn't?

  • I thought he got ripped apart by zombies..........

  • "Maybe they just rub pesto onto their legs..." HAHA. I love Dylan and his amazing use of the English language.

  • Bill Hicks, Lenny Bruce, George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Bill Maher, Dave Chapelle, Chris Rock....off the top of my head.

Anyone dismissing American comedy should go away and watch these guys. Of course, don't neglect to watch the rest of Dylan Moran's stuff as well.

  • I am an American and this is indeed very funny.

  • Love to watch the people in the audience that aren't laughing...

  • 77 people are American

  • Didn't laugh. :/ Maybe he should have done an impersonation?...

  • any1 spot the lady at the end not laughing? she looked grumpy as fuck

  • 76 people lift heavy things.

  • i only know him from run fat boy run and shaun of the dead

  • Go watch Black Books.

  • @majinwar316 you're a nerd. Ha.

  • @majinwar316 'American pros' like Jeff Dunham and Larry the Cable Guy?? You've got to be shitting me. Dylan is way funnier than those hacks.

  • @DevSodDribble True that.

  • He's not British he's Irish. Totally different thing!!

  • @aidendurkin Two nations of rain and dispair, not too different if you ask me!

  • Funny stuff, although the comments on this video are kind of annoying. I love british humor, but American humor is good too. Different doesnt equal bad.

  • This must have been somebody who came to work covered in children's blood every morning XD

  • @aaronrushton you know dylan moran is irish not british right?

  • How could anyone, ANYONE dislike this? HOWWW?

  • 72 people are not good at lifting the heavy thing.

  • disappointing

  • Eddie Izzard's understudy

  • @Arckitekt No, there are similarities, sure - but Dylan Moran is definitely his own man

  • He should watch Arnold in Way to Mr Olympia. Arnold is a genious and very funny

Since Arnold has been Govener he had done very well indeed.

  • sounds like cosby

  • @adt33 who's that lol?

  • You'd think that Schwarzenegger's predecessor was that bad, but he wasn't. Gray Davis got (wrongly) blamed for the Enron engineered electrical outages. Thank God Arnold is out and Jerry Brown is back in.

  • @Tracymmo And jerry will fix things! Sure will! Haahahahaha

  • Lol the part i cracked up at was his last joke

  • Not funny. End of story

  • @1Thompsonmusic struck a nerve? ;)

  • @rail0r

More like made me fall asleep

  • @1Thompsonmusic Then this is a simple taste of you, having a crap sense of humour :)

  • For you Europeans Hollywood is California. Arnold Schwarzenegger has been in lots of blockbuster films. Most of the businesses in California are based around entertainment. Universal Studios and Disneyland are both in California. It makes sense why people voted for him because he was pretty knowledgable about the industry.

  • @philsnk Huh ? The entire industry of california is based on entertainment ? Also, what has entertainment have to do with intelligently selecting the best person to effectively manage a state ?

  • @trulynot Supporting the Industry of a State is very important. California is where Hollywood is.

  • @philsnk Are you incapable of doing any research ?

"In terms of jobs, the five largest sectors in California are trade, transportation, and utilities; government; professional and business services; education and health services; and leisure and hospitality. In terms of output, the five largest sectors are financial services, followed by trade, transportation, and utilities; education and health services; government; and manufacturing." Wiki

Vote for hollywood ? Get a clue.

  • @philsnk For you American (I assume, although I shouldn't have to be telling you) Hollywood is not the only (or most) important thing in California. The technology industry (Silicone valley etc), aerospace industry and also agriculture are arguably more (but at least as) important as Hollywood - what does he know about them? And after them taxes, healthcare, policing, local services, debts etc are more important to know about than entertainment - so what does he know about them as well?

  • As an American and a Californian, I found this hillarious.

  • @bluesboy25000 Its nice to hear that you take this as a joke as opposed to offence like the other of the Americans that have commented, probably because you understand and have a sense of humor.

    Us Brits salute you :)

  • @scurvyoleary Well I mean it's comedy. People who get offende by comedy are usually afraid to look at themselves. I love any good political joke. Even though I like Obama, I love when Moran Skewered Obama.

  • Moran is a genius.... Not tha many people can make a smart and funny joke about Arnie without using his Austrian accent. respect.

  • @d3xDark Yes, it's finding a new angle on an old staple - as you say, genius.

  • arnold schwarzenegger is the man!!!!!

  • But it was they, who said... 'your the man!'

  • He sounds like james Mason.

  • anyone else pause at 2:08? Hahahah

  • he sorta looks like seth aaron henderson

  • he sounds like Bill Cosby

  • i'm putting together a collection of ireland's best comedians on my channel. all suggestions taken.

  • @irishcomedians Lucky about the channel name then!!!!!!!!

  • @bernardisard2 dylan moran is the best. i was actually surprised to find that channel name available

  • This is how they make money to make fun of famous ppl specially ppl who achieved a lot of things. Just like Kathy Griffin she's hilarious when making fun of the celebs. Maybe they're thinking Hey Celebs, Share Ur Blessings W/ Us! Hahahah!

  • This is barely funny. Dr. Schwarzenegger is one of the most mentally and physically disciplined human beings alive.

  • @MiKKA335 Its called a joke! If you don't understand that he's making a joke through the sterptype public opinion of Schwarzenegger! If you actually grew up seeing him in movies and weight commercials and shows, you might find this entertaining!

  • @mattdcs15CORK Yeah the public's misconception you mean. And maybe if you actually read up about the man, you'd realise that he is mentally and physically superior to almost everyone on the planet. Including you and Moran (who is usually funny, just not this time).

  • @MiKKA335 its a joke, the guy himself doesn't believe this. I bet if Arnie was in the audience himself he'd have a good laugh.

  • @jinofthethunder Yeah I know it's a joke, but this sort of joke is really only funny when the comedian is paying out a celebrity that doesn't deserve the recognition/attention that they do get (eg. Paris Hilton).

  • @MiKKA335 and who decides who is deserving? you can't say its okay to make fun of those people and not those people due to how much they've achieved. you seem to be missing the joke, we all know schwarzenegger has achieved great things, no one is taking that away from him. but that doesn't mean we can't take the mic, that is what british humor is about. taking the piss out of people you respect as much as taking the piss out of people you don't like.

  • @jinofthethunder British?

  • @petemcclelland100 fine, southern ireland and british.

  • @MiKKA335

You'er right in general, with one exception, you didn't get the joke.

The joke wasn't on Arnold, the joke was on people who voted for him.

Lifting things isn't the best background for the job, an actors' even worse, cause they're professional liers. :)

You've never watched Comedy Central Roast, I presume. Try it, its funny as hell, and it'll give you a new perspective on jokes such as this one.

  • @Vejita12 kinda like Regan eh? he was elected CA gov before being elected President... Just goes to show the voters are idiots.. (the majority)

  • @MiKKA335 Or you could watch the several old clips of him joyfully molesting the women he's filmed with, listen to him recycle his movie catchphrases at every tenuous opportunity, and shake your head slowly and cry at what has become of the world when a misogynist steroid mutant is able to govern a state. I will accept he is good at what he used to do.

  • @ViolentRunning Yeah mate, you're a hero.

  • @MiKKA335 Why thank you. You're a hero too.

    ?

  • @MiKKA335 lol you seem to be the one with the misconception saying arnold is mentally and physically superior to every one on the planet.

  • @tacoshitter He is though, it's the main reason why he's successful.

  • @MiKKA335 you realy think arnold is mentally superior to any one on the planet? seriously if you think theres nothing wrong with that statement, theres something wrong with you. i suggest seeing a psychologist.

  • @MiKKA335 I bet you have naked posters of him on your wall. STFU.

  • ok i just have one question: i he always a bit stoned/a lot drunk during his performances or is he just... like that? i only watched a few, and he always looks like that

  • @dotchoo He has wine on stage, take a guess

  • 64 people are relatives of Arnold Schwarzenegger

  • Comment removed

  • "look at how good i am, at lifting the heavy thing... in my underpants". this had me i tears the first time i heard it

  • @savagecabage Yes, i know what you mean. I was helpless from the moment he said 'He got there by lifting things."

  • if ya dont like dont watch cos Dylan is a standup gobshite buts hes my gobshite! haha :D

  • @arob372000 sorry but that is absaloute BULLSHIT! apart from rich hall and that other guy i cant remeber the name of most american humour is awful. british and australian comedians are so much better. the only element of truth in your comment is that americans are funny - to take the piss out of!

  • @aaronrushton1 on you're mom.

  • @joe59788 i've tried many times to see how this fits with anything i've said and it still makes no sense at all.

  • @aaronrushton1 It's just a matter of how and where you grew up, man. Humor is broad, and I promise it's not just secluded to the Brits and Auzzies. The core of humor has expanded vastly and certain cultures see things in different lights. But don't call another person ignorant for thinking a certain way when you yourself are acting ignorant.

  • @aaronrushton1 ahhhhhhhh shame.... *pat pat* don't worry, i'm sure your mommy loves you

  • @aaronrushton1 apparently, you know little to nothing about american comedy; probably one of the most idiotic comments I've seen on here in a while.

aside from that, dylan moran is fucking hilarious.

  • @dchockeygoali07 i am only going off what i've seen, and out of the dozen or so american comedians i've seen, apart from the ones i've mentioned, none have extracted even a chuckle from me. many of my friends have the same opinions (even my AMERICAN friends)

  • @aaronrushton1 Clearly you don't follow American comedy (not that I blame you, I don't really follow foreign comedy either). There's loads of great stuff in America, you've just got to look around for the kind that suits your sense of humor.

  • @aaronrushton1 As an Australian, I'd partially agree with you - but some American comedians are funny. Louis CK, George Carlin, Bill Burr, Robin Williams, Russell Peters... they're all great. Diarrhea like Two and a Half Men is what gives American humour a bad name.

  • @arob372000

Hahaha! Well thats one of you thats funny anyway!

  • @arob372000

Hahaha! Well thats one of you thats funny anyway!

  • "to each is own", if you dont think Dylan Moran is funny then dont post your comments saying hes boring

  • I love this bit of his, I don't think it's boring at all.

  • Arnie is the man.

  • hmm, am I the only who thinks this is not funny but rather boring?? I don't think he's really good.

  • @pascalaka It's not one of his best segments; he can be a lot funnier. It's all down to taste at the end of day though.

  • @Seladoor hmm, your right I guess.

  • @pascalaka pascala? I never thought I'd see you commenting on a Dylan Moran video. I'm a subscriber of yours, I love your action shorts. That being said, I love this bit mostly because of the absurdist deconstruction of American politics. That's what I take from it. Comedy is subjective though. I have trouble enjoying a lot of Uk comedians but Dylan is surely one of the best.

  • @xcalibur4ever yeah totally agree, it's a matter of personal opinion. I'd be embarassed if I revealed the style of stand up comedy I enjoy, lol. and thanks for subscribing.
