  • I love the music more..No offence :)

  • I don't own a smartphone yet but this looks so much more appealing than an iPhone or Android. It looks smooth.

  • 0:44 Holly Dickson! xD

  • The whole design of the phone just screams sophistication, I love it.

  • What is the Windows Phone font?

    Does anyone know?

It is amazingly clear and beautiful!

  • @Anonymousnongamer it's called Segoe UI Light, but slightly modified to make it look better on the phone. Segoe UI Light is a font included in Windows 7.

  • @Anonymousnongamer It's called metro

  • i love my htc hd7

  • When I first bought a WP7, everyone laughed at me. Saying that I am stupid to buy a windows phone. They say the UI looks too simplistic and erm..cheapskate

  • I am gettin dis phone should i get it from asus lg or samsung

  • @Nferno5496 Samsung :D Or the HTC ones are good, the design is awesome

  • Lol. I seriously have NO IDEA why everyone at my school has iphones. Yeah blah blah it looks nice and is a cool touchscreen phone but i'm not paying $800 for a phone when a Windows 7 phone is around $400-500 and just as good. I was completely blindsighted by Apple that i hadn't noticed other companies making products better than apple's. Yea i have an ipad, an ipod touch and an ipod nano but LOL until now i found out that Apple sucks, sorry apple fans.

  • @parkranger487 Same, I loved my iPhone until I bought a Wp7 the other day. Selling my iPhone now, I still like iPods though

  • I Love the song

  • is it produce from Microsoft company? i don't like the HTC..or any other companies produce the window 7 phones....

  • @yinrenhao Lol, Windows PC's and Windows Phones aren't produced by Microsoft themselves, Microsoft isn't an OEM.

You will have to live with HTC, Dell, Samsung & LG for now.

  • @PinkMirrorKirby Well they did make the zune and zune HD, though parts of the zune HD chipset was made by nvidia. I like nvidia more though...but they dont make phones, they do graphics. Say, MS, Nokia, Nvidia and intel working together...they probably can create the world's most badass phone. Too bad that will never happen.

  • @PinkMirrorKirby thanks, i apologized for i reply late....thanks a lot....

  • @yinrenhao Later Nokia will produce Windows Phones, so you can consider buying Nokia-made phones as they are the best OEM. :)

  • it needs a bigger screen

  • @vtshuz100 The HTC HD7 should be big enough.

  • needs a bigger screen

  • what phone is that ? looks like omnia 7

  • what's the name of that model

  • 64 bit > Mac

  • Interface looks cool, but sometimes i want to find the contact fast and get the contact's number. Not watch the cool transition animations. Is there a way to turn all that crap of and make the phone work for me, not watch it display spinning thingies on the darn screen?

  • It looks laggy in this preview :/ And I rather wait and see what the new freedom fighter android brings!!

  • no apps?

  • @Alexamordetodos there will be apps for the phone avable on the zune marketplace you will use microsoftpints or a credit card to purshacethem

  • Seems like a phone that can fill well the hole left by Sony Ericson's flop phone. But, for me, it is the HTC Desire HD. Not trying to spam, troll, or do anything else pathetic. Just expressing my thoughts regarding this issue, and I have to say that Windows have taken huge leap in phone making at least judging from this video.

  • this is amazingly best windows phone i ll ever use this December.

  • From what I see a jailbroken iPhone is 1337

  • The phone seems really basic, does it have an Internet broswer? Also what are the Xbox LIVE features? And how does it stack up against the iPhone?

  • I just found out that iOS fan-boys always write hate comments very immaturely.

  • @JSernProductions that's because they like doing things differently, I guess. ha!

  • Anyone knows the cheapest plan I could get with this phone?

  • Still like the android better :) but this looks nice, do they have any market like app store or Android market??

  • @babonamaki zune market suppleis the apps

  • Small print on phone: "office is only a trial. You may have to uninstall unwanted programs while paying monthly for anti-virus to protect it."

  • Who cares about the Netherlands? I mean, can you name one thing the Netherlands contribute to the world today?

  • @stuzzer The Dutch invented the sawmill, the miscroscope, the CD (I think that is used commonly), road cameras, submarines, the artificiel kidney, and in the 17 century they discovered that bacteria existed, I was to lazy to find more but from what I have told you, mayby you should think before saying something stupid, because some of these inventions and discoveries are pretty useful.

  • whatever at&t and apple are smoking microsoft is now smoking! i wouldn't buy one in a million years anyone with any sense wouldn't either.

  • @SynSt3r no internets for you... get out...

  • @SynSt3r You, sir, are an idiot. Please leave.

  • The basic fundamental GUI for every phone is some composite form of iOS. Windows Phone will be the first truly unique competitor in it's core functionality and the manner in which tasks are accomplished while at the same time rivaling the intuitiveness of iOS and surpassing that of Android. However Android does and will likely always maintain greater overall customization and possibly functionality.

  • Does anyone know what the song in the video is?

  • @MrAJCrowley How to fight, stickboy.

  • @mackenziepricee Thanks!

  • dude i was just kidding... peace on earth ^_^

  • @vladimirsuckmeoff i didnt know you could spell, with no schools and stuff...

    whuhahahahahaha

  • @gigicalifornia You win the battle of the trolls

  • I really wanted to give "WinPho7" a chance, but its just soooo drab and boring and there doesnt seem to be any real structure to it. And all the WinPho7 handsets look the same and Microsoft is being overly protective of customisation and UI's. Im sure Microsoft have done a good job with it but Windows Mobile has always been a "Business OS" very much like Blackberry OS and to be honest thats how I think it should stay.

Thats just my opinion, your entitled to your own and I respect that

  • @573W1E6R1FF1N wait, so you don't like this phone on the basis that it is...boring? sigh, look at what the iphone has done to people...

  • @Fals3Agent If I want a phone, I would like to enjoy using it. Like if I wanted to eat something, I want something thats tasty.

And the lack of customisation gets old fast, thats why i'm switching to Android

  • Ready Set Fail

  • "The Power of Bing" ....I lol'd.....

  • Impressed by the design, but "The Power of Bing"? If Windows 7 means Bing, no other choices allowed, I'm not buying it.

  • @sapphirewine

Bing is just the default and quick access search engine, which is a given considering bing is microsoft, but because it has a web browser just browse to any other engine.

  • @sapphirewine Have you ever used Bing?

Google may bring up half a million search results in less than half a second, but Bing actually brings up relevant information.

  • @halfingr relevance? why do you think google is so popular all over the world?

  • @atlaswingpasaway Because it can bring up hundreds of thousands of results more than any other search engine to date, and it has been around for the longest.

Its popularity is based on its age and output.

And it is SO obvious how to use ANY search engine; how can buttons confuse you? And if you look at the Google homepage, it has more buttons in drop-downing menus, and it has TONS of annoying 'suggested links' and 'google adverts'.

The best thing about Google now is their concurrent search.

  • @halfingr you have like 700,000 links/buttons in the UI of BING, but people really need just a couple of buttons when searching for something quickly.

  • @winkipinky, Windows Phone 7 is an operating system NOT A PHONE. Samsung and HTC are already developing phones with 8-10mp cameras and that run HD video. Watch some nVidia Tegra videos and you will get an idea what kind of phones will be available next year.

  • Amazed at the number of ignorant comments on here. Microsoft like Android focus on software, it's up to manufactures like HTC and Samsung (one of many) to provide you with a great camera, fast processor and so on. Give it a chance ffs, they even told you they're working on bringing out multi-tasking, c-and-p and other features. Remember when people were saying Win7 will just be another Vista, how wrong they were. Sure it's not mind-blowingly different but it works, safer, faster and better UI.

  • Uhh... whats the different between this phone and other smartphones in the market??

The features seems standerd and boring

  • @holypredator, Windows Phone 7 is an operating system (software) not a phone (hardware). The difference is that you won't need to browse through a maze of menus to get to the things you want as it's made available through hubs. Apps will be much better than 6.5 not due to the specs of the device but the eco-system around the marketplace and developer tools, means you can do more with apps than previously possible. Like Android it's up to WP7 developers to make it something more interesting.

  • @ilabstudios

i know its a software =.=, do i need to be any more specific in my question?

And what makes you think other OS cant do that? android phones could just drag your favourite aps to the homescreen... there you can just access it with ease... besides that, you've never mention any distinct features from WM7

    1. Does the apps selections competitive? (Does it even support apps)

    2. Can it support live-wallapaper, widgets, swype, Flash etc..

  • even the video is boring

  • So, I'm just going to cut right to the meat of it: what can WP7 do that Android can't? I don't really see it.

  • @gophergun It is not what you can do with a phone, it is how you are doing it. I can see already wp7 outpaced android in execution.

  • @RussLi1993 I dunno about that, I haven't seen it in action, but I've always been very functionality-driven when it comes to this sort of thing. The reason I generally lean towards Android is because of the extra functionality it offers over iOS (and Winmo, etc.) With the lack of multitasking, it's looking very similar to iOS in that regard. They need to wow me with some kinds of killer features to get me on board, perhaps even show me something I've never done with a phone before.

  • so will the HTC HD3 with windows mobile 7 ..still have all the cool weather animations on its main page?

  • I currently own an iPhone 4 and love it but you know what my next phone might be a Windows Phone 7 very original software design and some cool features like the WI-FI sync

  • @freecakeeatit by then it could be wp8.

  • this phone really needs to surpass the iPhone & the Android family of phones, to be relevant...i will take a 'wait and see' approach with this...

  • Being an iPhone user since it's launch, I want to thank Microsoft for coming out with this. It meets synergy and integration requirements Google's Android OS doesn't understand. Good Job Microsoft.

  • @xanaduregio While that maybe partly true, as most manufacturers like HTC or Samsung or LG have built their own apps to fix that gap. Google does do cutting edge innovation like voice or NFC which companies like MS or Nokia could not do.

  • @rdshklzn rotfl, Are you stoned. this thing sucks ass if you compare it.

  • Comment removed

  • I hope it does well!

  • @rdshklzn Right on.

  • I am biased toward MS unlike most people but I am not too excited about this phone - the UI is dull and narrow and the contantly moving icons bother me.

  • @ralvis22 I'm also biased toward MS. I hope this OS does great. I have a Zune HD and would love Zune and Metro UI to reach a broader band of people.

  • I hate Microsoft and there shity products except windows 7 which totally better than snow leopard .

  • Here in The Netherlands, Microsofts WinPhone7 lost all its credits and it will fail compleeetely. It's not available in our language and there will be no xboxlive stuff for us. So people from Microsoft; f';ck you (!) and hooray for Android, Symbian and all the other international minded peoples.

I was ready to give winpho7 a change but now....no way!!

  • @gigicalifornia How can you base WinPhone 7's success based on your country! You've only got 16 million out of all 1 billion global users! That is so very narcissistic of you!

  • @david2032blogs hahaha 1 billion winpho7 users?? No way.... Android is the future...wake up.

And besides that, you've gotta read better. I said in The Netherlands (and other countries where they speak Dutch) it will fail because we want to read in our own language....and that isn't possible. We are not the only country Microsoft is dissing though....

  • @gigicalifornia wah wah wah waaaah

  • @vladimirsuckmeoff wtf r u talkin' about.....ur from a 3rdworldcountry. Where a mobile network are 2 cans connected to eachother with a string.

    whuhahahahahaha

  • @gigicalifornia As you said, we do get the Windows Phone 7, LOL ... so stop whining.

  • @vladimirsuckmeoff like i give a damn....we already got it, and tried it.

Now go back to you donky.

  • @gigicalifornia

How about learning to speak english???? So you dont have to get it in your home language!

  • @gigicalifornia I don't see whats the problem with English language. I'm Czech, and I have american microsoft live id, and all software installed in English. No problem.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @gigicalifornia Sorry, dutch isn't a wide spread language. I'm pretty sure that's why I've never met a Dutch person that couldn't speak English... because if they didn't, they would have a hard time outside a very small country. You seem to be getting by just fine. I'm sure you can understand the few words you need on the phone, and you can type in any language you wish (as long as you have the correct characters, which for Dutch there would be)

  • @gigicalifornia But you speak english.... yet you're complaining? ROFL!

  • @GorillaFireface maybe the language is 'stupid'

  • Within the next two years, Windows Phone 7 will be the primary smartphone platform for Nokia, pushing Symbian slowly into retirement. With the strong software developers of Microsoft and Nokia's hardware design and manufacturing experience, the alliance between Windows Phone 7 and Nokia, "Winkia", will sure put up a good competition with Google's dominating Android. I personally can't wait to own a WP7 Nokia phone.

And sigh....long live the Meego and my N900

  • I hate this, wm 6.5 is better, we don't need another ipod or android, old windows mobile was small pc, this is toy for kids and teens, nothing serious :'-(

  • i think its better than the iphone. i think iphone is a little borring its allways the same thing

  • @Hezzaa92 Uhh maybe the fact that its actually fun to use? iTunes is so boring and bland with all its greyness. Zune is alive with and vibrant with all its creativity and colors. And before you get all bitchy, yes, I have an iPod Touch. It sucked to I got a Zune HD and I love it! So to say a phone is a total failure before it even comes out, sounds alot like an ignorant Apple fanboy to me.

  • @Jordanbe1 very true....

  • @Hezzaa92 What's bad about the Zune? It's great.

  • @Hezzaa92 Have you ever tried a Zune?...It's awesome. I like apple's stuff too but the Zune is just cleaner and sleeker and the sound quality is really good, so you should really ask What bad is there about zune..

  • @Hezzaa92 Hey! What's so good about iTunes? It looks like something a 3 year old threw on the wall.

  • I love the interface of the phone....how it is as good as it looks....

  • looks cool but i think i like N1's UI and apperance better

  • dont NEED=dont want

  • i really like its interface. simple but elegant. and also its transitions the way it opens its apps.

  • I might get this phone but one thing I noticed in the video was that it only showed the pics while holding the phone upright. Can you turn the phone sideways to see the pictures larger in size? If not then this will be a flop for Microsoft. I really like Zunes and that is part of the reason I would get this phone. But we will have to wait and see how the finished product looks.

  • windows 6.5 mobile upgraded now at 7.0/7,,,,,,,cool operating system

  • @mrjhoseph17 the only things is that phone that support the Windows Mobile 6.5 will not be able to use 7.0 the news operating system is going to be exclusive to the news windows phone 7

ps: i like the instramental version of this song

  • And its my request to Microsoft , the don't make this phone much costly like iphone did, It should be in reasonable Price ..

  • when its gonna be available world wide ??

im waiting for it ... and iphone sucks all the time ..

Thats why, using Nokia right now .

But im defiantly gonna buy this phone, after 4 to 5 years . :]

cuz im not even 18 yet ... :P

  • doesnt look that good to me yet... not until i see that i can join xbox live friends party chats over the phone.

  • @killer759607 you can

  • @iDomo301 The phone shown here is a concept. The accutal phone will not be for sale, though you find the opeating system (the bit you interacte with) on a lot of different phones come these holidays.

All Windows Phones will require atleast a 5 mega pixel camera.

  • @windowsphone I love the redesign of the OS itself and will be waiting impatiently for October to come around. or when ever the first WP7 HTC phone is slated to come out.

    don

I just have one question with regards to indicators.

I don't see anywhere in the main UI any battery level indicator. Will there be a sort of hardware type battery level indicator instead?

  • @kennethdg See at the top where the clock is on the start screen? If you touch in that area, different icons will pop down like Bluetooth, Battery, Signal Strength etc.

  • @iDomo301 Holidays 2010.

  • Use Android or Windows Phone 7 when it comes out. iPhones are for idiots who believe in the apple business model "pay more, do less". Then they kid themselves saying that they payed for "superior quality" when they know that android phones that cost half as much and have hardware that is on par with iPhone can do 4 times the stuff iPhone can.

  • Microsoft is the best better pc gaming console and now best smartphone

  • Hopefully, it doesn't require Mcfee anti-virus protection..

  • When does this come out?

  • @SW4TR3PP1N Holidays 2010.

  • The little white thing that appears when you touch something seems to get annoying, but otherwise this phone rocks! Anything on pricing or exact release date?

  • @Videoxpressions The little white thing is just for the video to simulate a finger on the screen.

  • Beautiful UI!

  • This looks like a phone that will be a real competition for the iphone!

  • I don't get it, what's so great about this?

Not nearly as good as android.

  • I`m switching from a Droid...this rocks !

  • This Phone is only going to be made by HTC, LG, and SAMSUNG. As of right now its rummered that the LG one is going to be coming out first some time in fall and the HTC and SAMSUNG are rummored to come in during the holidays

  • lol dayum so MS is just gona wreck iphone.... i guess it will take control of the phone market as well, i like my HTC HD2 though

  • We Need A Mobile Version Of Windows 7, Not Another Regular Mobile O.S. Simply Called Windows!!!

  • This phone is so awesome! I just wish instead of playing xbox games, that I could play my wii and DS games on it.

  • @raney150 you really think that MICROSOFT is going to allow Nintendo to intergrate with there system, you do know that Xbox is a part of Microsoft right

  • Comment removed

  • @merose3 Never mind I see what you are saying now. I know that they wouldn't do that. I said I just WISH. I like the ideas for the phone but I like nintendo when it comes to gaming. It's not like I was actually expecting them to do or like I was thinking it was a possibility.

  • Ill give microsoft a little secret, allow texting in any application, have a huge app store with free apps, allow lots of user feedback and listen when we want something make it happen.

The reason why iphone is so succesful is because of jailbreaking which allows one to do what ever. We want freedom thats all!

  • That's great !!!

  • Did you released that phone?

  • This is a very good apportunity for .Net developpers to get ahead of this wave. And trus me, It will be a BIG wave. Just thing all of the Iphone app you can recreate for this new platform in a fraction of time it take's on the Iphone platform. BTW DevTeach is the first organisation to provide a Bootcamp on Windows Phone 7 in Canada. Do not miss this chance.

  • WP7 + Intel Moorestown is gonna be fricken SWEEET!!!! .. but i HATE the blue color they used for the home screen icons..... Its so ugly ;(

  • @chuyqa you can change it.

  • @chuyqa I believe that you can swith it to any color that you want or the custom thats preset already :-)

  • they didnt try to use this as a tv commercial did they? its so boring and long

  • awesome!!!!!!!!!! Goodbye to my Iphone 3GS :}

  • @fbendotti Buy that phone and the iPhone 4!!!

  • @fbendotti get iPhone 4, totaly worth it

  • This looks awesome. Hopefully HTC will make an improvement ovet their HD2 and allow WP7 to run on it. I cant wait to get rid of my 3GS. I do like my Iphone, but I wan't better! I am eligible for an Iphone4, but I am going to hold off until these come out, or the next gen Iphone. I really hope MS doesn't disappoint.

  • I heard that's it's going to use cheap 3d tricks to make it's games look better and from the videos i saw it looks sweet with those cheap tricks i see that this could and will be so awesome you Fan boys will switch sides after a few days after release

  • iPhone - killer fail! Apple owns all

  • the problem with previous windows mobile OS is that they were too ahead of their time. the hardware couldnt keep up with the software, and it made for a buggy experience. but in terms of what the software is capable of, windows mobile phones from several years ago rival the technical abilities (software-wise, remember) of modern smartphones. i'm glad for the overhaul, and have much anticipation to see what microsoft can do now with better hardware.

  • Comment removed

  • @rdshklzn dude, get your facts straight... the xbox 360 came out more than a year BEFORE the PS3 and had way more hardware issues. Ever heard of the Red Ring of Death? MS spent nearly a billion to repair broken units and avoid a massive class-action lawsuit.

  • Whats the music if i may ask?

  • Looks realy better than Windows Mobile!

  • it sucks !!!

Nokia and Microsoft => Fight for the worse mobile OS

  • Comment removed

  • Way awesome i love the flow of it and i assume that itll be better than it is now for additional reasons . hope they release an ipod touch version like and hd2 or somehting

  • nice. but, um.. its like half a year away... but, really dang nice. love the way the items react to a tap.

  • love the design flow on the o.s.

  • I'M not impressed ...... yet

  • Too late, too little.

  • that interface looks waay better than iPhone's

  • I want the actual phone shown in this video as well as the WP7 OS.

  • Can't wait when this arrives in Nov 2010 it going to blow away that junk iphone 4 off the shelves. It more up to date in Mobile technology looks. At least it dont have ugly Icon what Iphone 4 still have LOL..

  • i like the way the phone looks so simple!!
