  • im from columbus, oh

SD til the day I die

always wanted to be the lead singer of a steely dan cover band

I know ALL the words to EVERY song they EVER made

you guys need me as your donald fagen

    PLEEEEEASE

  • Smokey, sexy, well done!

  • I dunno, I thought the drummer was great, if not exceptional.

  • good job...just not feeling what that drummer is laying down.

  • Agree. Beyond missing the second backbeat each measure (I'm all for creativity, but some things shouldn't be messd with), I feel this needs to be played a little more on top of the time.

  • Does the drummer own the P.A. system? That's what happened to a band I had in High School. Do what we did. Borrow some money from dad and cut him loose!! Break his left leg and his hi-hats first. Nice job otherwise I thought!

  • It's just a tape of an early practice. The drummer is among our most, if not the most, experienced and trained player.

  • My mom's an experienced and trained player and a heck of a nice guy! But she can't play drums either!!

  • Trained? Does he have a copy of the song to listen to?

Don't want to sound harsh because covering a Steely Dan song is no easy task, but in this video, the drummer was the weakest part of the song. Rest of the band sounds like they listened to the song before.

  • Guitar is fantastic, singing is flat, drums sound like a can salesman falling downstairs, bass player should learn the track instead of trying to "Jaco" it, song drags.

Thanks for doing it, though - it is a beautifull song.

  • +1... not the best sound that is for sure, but you can tell they can play, just a shame the mix sucks

  • Thanks! sorry about the mix, it's just an old analog video tape recorder so we can evaluate our practices.

  • not the best..but not the worst that's out there. btw...that drummer really isn't getting into the Josie groove in my opinion. but hey it's about preference! nice.

  • wow nice and tight.aja sits in my top 5 and josie is the funky dunky tune that changes the pace of a smooth dan album, love the performance 10/10

  • thanks!!! we really get into the funky josie groove.

  • NO. jsexton. I think what he just said was, "really isn't getting into the Josie groove." I don't think it was a complement.

  • fast. nice bass riffs. great vocals. bridge really feels in the groove. great solo. talk right at the end, oh well.

  • so jsexton, let me understand. you perform it. post it. and review it! ha ha

  • what have you done?

  • Postin' your own feedback again, huh? "I thought we were real good too!!"

  • ???
