I can't help but be a bit annoyed at how oblivious (is that the best word?) his sister is. She was only a tad worried about him being late and has no idea that her brother could have been dead for good. I don't hate her for it; and this is only episode 1 so I have no idea what's next.

I prefer the manga over the anime, it's just the first episode but there's a lot of things changed already. In the manga Hiro's was hit by a truck driven by Flandre and Hime and instead of giving Hiro this "flame of life", Hime gives Hiro her blood.
