ERIC!! I've read the books so many times and watched each episode of the series at least 2 times each. I can't wait for the 4th season to follow the storyline of the 4th book. The day True Blood completely veers away from the books is the day I curl up into a ball and cry and give up on the world until TRC comes out to brighten up my day again. I personally detest the depiction of vampires in Twilight. True Blood did it in a "modern" way, and is a fresh breath of air to all vampire media in my opinion. Comparing Twilight to True Blood is like comparing a fight in prep-school to a world war. Yes, the essence is still the same, but world wars tend to be more adult and gruesome. And if you wondered, True Blood is the world war in this case. The show is adult, and even grotesque at times, but it really hightens the dark side of vampires.
