The representation is nowhere close to a Portuguese stereotype. I think that you spent too much time in the US and havent soaked any real Portuguese culture to know different. I am Portuguese and so is my family, they came her before 1974 as well. They don't fit in that category. What you have at home is not what Portugal or Portuguese people are. I didnt like it. I am entitled to an opinion and I gave it. YouTube is a wonderful place to post vids but this one should have been left alone.

Portugal já não é assim. Existe ainda alguma influência do homem sobre a mulher no interior norte do país mas com o desaparecimento dos nossos avós e pais, também desaparecerão estes hábitos.

A partir da geração de 70, a típica família portuguesa deixa o estereótipo da família tradicional católica, onde o homem domina, para passar a ser uma família católica moderada, não praticante (ou puramente agnóstica) onde os novos valores e a divisão de responsabilidades regem a sua vida.
