just so happens, both cities have the same name.....

Not quite, ef- a tale of memories was based off of the visual novel ef- the latter tale, the first half of which focused on Renji and Chihiro. This AMV though, from what i can tell, uses scenes from memories, so the name is a bit misleading

Not quite either. Ef - A Tale of Memories is composed of the first 2 chapters from The First Tale and only the third chapter from The Latter Tale. A new one which coming out Ef - A Tale of Melodies focuses on the final chapter of The Latter Tale. xD
