  • goodbye, college.. hello, real world!

  • So Long High School!!! Hello College!!!

  • Goodbye middle school, Hello High school!

  • If you think THAT'S bad, please keep in mind that the American National Anthem is a poem that was set to the tune of a drinking song from some Ivy-League fraternity. We have an interesting track record with music.

  • really? COOL!! lol

  • Thats not true...

  • @scrye493 I love our national anthem, 'The Star-Spangled Banner'. I also love 'God Save the Queen', the national anthem of the United Kingdom, and 'O Canada', the national anthem of Canada.

  • it started as a kind of joke when an American Uni gave Elgar an Honourary Doctorate. As his most recent march, they played it. It caught on :P

  • Good video.

I've always found the tradition of playing pomp and circumstance no. 1 at American graduations very strange though, as it was composed to celebrate British Imperialism!

  • i guess it is strange if you think about it. but on the other hand the british definitly felt proud when this song was played. and being that i am a class of 2008 highschool graduaet i can say that i felt vary proud walking to this song in my cap and gown. i guess it is just the feeling of accomplishment that the song gives off that makes it an on-going tradition.

    P.S. i am an american.
