  • Also just to add you are all a bunch of little immature fucktards to argue over something silly like slipknot

  • Stop arguing about who's better I like disturbed, slipknot, Samael, Anthrax etc etc because they are all different now shut the fuck and enjoy the music p.s black sabbath, Metallica, anthrax, slayer and Samael etc, has had the biggest influence on metal

  • Samael has so many powerful songs that I wonder when they will do a video that actually matches the song? I would love to see a decent video for The Cross or Quasar waves for example... too late I guess but they still can do Soul Invictus...

  • This reminds me of Disturbed they're okay but i get this synthetic vibe from it. Still they got skills i could never come close to clutching to :)

  • what happened Samael?... you used to be good...

  • @Unweonbakan just like Vorph says at start at 0:22

It's time for moving on! :P

  • Happy Valentine's Day :-))

  • I like the video - it's understated but attractive. I like the combination of the yellowy lights, bundles of wires, & lots of men in tight black turtlenecks. <3

  • More light for the thoughts that I dig

More light in the places I stay

More light on the path that I walk

More light ‘round the questions that I bear

More light in the eyes that I see

More light in the light that I bring

  • Really interesting. Its like heavy but not

  • Rebelión - ALTA INTENSIDAD

  • Samael strenght relies in its keyboards. I saw them and hailed the master in a concert in Rome...

  • pendejos.

  • unfortunally nothing new, this dream is always this same

  • Reading comments and I have to say its all about the art. Samael are true artists. I rank them up there with greats like Glenn Danzig who stay true to their fans and to themselves because they are not concerned about winning awards. They evolve to satisfy their own artistic needs without pandering to the wannabes like Metallica did. To quote Danzig "you must stay true to your fans, but you have to stay true to yourself as an artist too.". I think Samael definitly falls into that category.

  • im not trying to insult anyone but wat type of screamo is this?

  • @superfunnyman44 subgenre of metal.....I would classify as industrial. They started out as black metal but evolved to industrial.

  • @9chaos1forever1 Samael are damn straight putted amongst the pioneers of black metal history. They came beofre everyone's so loved Dimmu Borgir. Ofcourse they changed now to industrial through the ages, just like wine does from grape juice :)

  • @Hj4rr4n0sA7t Dimmu Borgir... musically, not too bad. Presentation? They're as laughable as GWAR.

  • @Hj4rr4n0sA7t ...album PASSAGE is their best...I used to listen it for months on walkman...ahhh, the school...

  • i love this music / Amo questa musica

  • megacool!!!!!

  • Attack of the ridgeline beards!

  • Awesome, I hope they make a video for Antigod that is my favorite song off this album and have such a great potential for great video.

  • So very glad they didn't keep with the black metal revival in Above. I never liked their old old stuff and very much disliked Above. BUT THIS! Fuggin good.

  • Holy shit, now THIS is the Samael I know!

  • Swiss Black Metal ! Yeaah

  • I still think Vorph looks like a young Bill Murray.....esp the live "On Earth" vid. Music is epic!!!

  • it's only 61,223 views and over 200,000,000 views for Justin biber gay.... wtf!!

  • samael evolution from blackmetal to techtonik industrial maggots.....

  • Sure, Samael came before Rammstein-- but Laibach came before Samael! NOBODY has a monopoly on that style of growling vocals, o my little dudelings. <3 Just enjoy it when you hear it (or hate it, your choice).

Samael's been using this vox style since forever, & I've been loving them for it forever. I've always loved their innovative mix of metal + industrial + goth + electronic styles-- it gives them a sound you can identify as soon as you hear it, no matter which era/album.

  • LIQUID SOUL DIMENSION!!

  • I saw them live in houston in 08 and got to chill with vorph. they were the first metal band i ever heard and are still the best in my opinion. twas the heaviest thing ive ever seen! i hope they come to the states again. nothing like it. one of a kind. Ave gloria!!!! Ave fortuna!!!!!!! that is true metal!!!!!!!!

  • aaaaa jajajajajajaj pffff

  • Should this and Disturbed be alike? HA! I love Samael but I like fkn HATE Disturbed!

  • @Wacke666 Disturbed kick ass you nigger

  • @GoldPheer no, the only thing they kick is lame ass. Also I'm not black, racist.

  • @Wacke666 Thats why they have millions of fans isn't it you paki, nigger, milk bottle.

  • @GoldPheer they have a million fans because they do poppy ass metal and are boring like slipknot and all that shit. Let me enjoy Samael and have my opinion and leave me be, or at least be a man and come over and say that to my face. You're just a bitch with a keyboard.

  • @Wacke666 Slipknot are awesome dude... you listen to shit!

  • @GoldPheer I listen to Samael, is that shit? Obviously you listen to shit then, emo boy (referring to Slipknot).

  • @Wacke666 Ahahaha! this seriously Is shit! The vocals are utter bollocks and so is the rest of the band! And If you think Slipknot Is emo you seriously know FUCK ALL about music you sad little twat!

  • @GoldPheer The only thing sad here is that you listen to that commercial shit metal so many others listen to. Lemme guess, you're a typical fanboy of bullet for my valentine etc? The one that for example says "Metallica are the greatest ever!"? It's so sad that you only listen to what everyone else listens to and don't explore actually music with strong musicianship and uniqueness. And Slipknot are a band that became famous for wearing masks, not their music. THAT is fucking sad.

  • @GoldPheer

Dude, seriously... Do you really know what you are talking about? Samael did more for the history of metal than Slipknot will ever be able to do. And I don't even want to say that Slipknot is that bad. Some songs like Vermillion (pt. 1) are pretty interesting and nice to think about. But you are also talking about Samael, one of the biggest influences of Black Metal in their early days. And even today they have a very unique, intelligent style. Listen to "For A Thousand Years", boy.

  • @HellomynameisBeldor dude.. fuck off! Has this band won grammy awards? NO! I bet they don't even have as many fans as slipknot! Their vocals are shit and they're just terrible all around. most bands have some decent songs but all of slipknots songs are fucking beast, don't bother replying because you're blocked you piece of trash.

  • @GoldPheer LOL

That's exactly why most of all metalheads laugh at you Slipknot-kiddies. You aren't able to have a discussion on a normal niveau. I don't even have to criticize Slipknot and you start to insult me. Dude, grow up! And btw: I don't give a s*** @ the Grammy Awards. For me, it's more like a proof that they are more pop than metal. And the vocals: I like them. They are unique, unlike the roar/sing-mix of Slipknot. But hey, why am I even trying to answer you? You are a fanboy, maggot

  • @HellomynameisBeldor I don't understand why you hate them tho? They're one of the most successful bands in metal history

  • @GoldPheer just cuz they are successful doesn't mean they are talented. there is a thing called trends you know Disturbed, Godsmack same thing it's a trend that will die and now that dubstep is starting to take recognition they will be old news and not liked as much you'll see..

  • @HellomynameisBeldor and btw that song "For a thousand years" Is complete shit! How can you like that crap? Boy.

  • @GoldPheer Ethnic and racist slurs constitute the best insult you can come up with? If you are representative of slipknot fans then I am proud that I have disliked them since a few months after I first heard of them, 11-12 years ago. If you're a typical fan, it's safe to say that they are still pussies.

  • @map250r fag.

  • @Wacke666 Why do you hate Disturbed? In my opinion Samael doesn't sound like Disturbed at all.

  • This style never gets old. Hail Samael!

  • his voice sounds a little bit like the voice of Til Lindemann in Heirate Mich

  • awesome band and song but why the f dont the get a real drummer? Programmed drums sounds so much inferior to the real thing, especially in live situations... someone needs to tell Xytras to either play only drums or keyboard!

  • @winsloe57 Aye, complete pioneers and innovators. Far too few know the history and impact Samael has had. Perhaps we are too old!

  • @nitramodralag I agree. Vorph has sounded awesome, from Worship Him to Lux Mundi, live and on albums. He is by far my favorite metal vocalist. I remember buying Blood Ritual was released as if it was last year. Makes me feel old lol.

  • What?! What the fuck?! How?! When did they get back together?! How the fuck did I miss that? Someone pls explain. Their old school shit's fucking great!!!!! They sound a little more "modern" now, but still, fuck yeah!!! At least they didn't sell out like In Flames. How disappointing? Everything up until Whoracle was brilliant, and the.... well yeah.

  • @thyspret1

They didn't come out with an album for a few years after Eternal, If that is when you stopped hearing about them after that, and want to catch up, there are four more albums: Reign of Light (2004),Solar Soul (2007),Above (2009), Lux Mundi (2011).

  • Saying that Disturbed is better than Samael is just like saying Justin Bieber is better than Slayer.

  • the singing ruined it for me ;(

I was like this is awesome and played a lil' air guitar and then a too heavy voice came, me is sad nao ;(

not bad, but the song is just not good with that kind of singing.

  • @rogantu Yeah it's a matter of taste of course or do you like other unclean vocals?

  • @warzoneproduction some yeah, not many, I'd love this song sung with a different tone though the lyrics and music is definitely good.

  • sameel loco luxperras que guapoooo locoo parece que se comio un caniche y con la barbita esa de cabra de fuerteventura i lovin it !

  • good old Samael is back

  • 22.09. Bochum: Wir kommen!!!

  • OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG Can't wait to see you guys live <3

  • I got Vorph's plectrum. I always carry it around in my wallet! :D

  • Great music, shit clip :-/

  • 20 jahre und ich krieg immer noch gänsehaut

  • Treuer Fan seit zwischenzeitlich 14 Jahren......! Macht weiter so!!!!

  • must buy new samael!!!! been listening to samael since blood ritual, and they still make awsome music. great to see a old band still ripping it up!!!

  • The song is great, but the video is pretty much pointless.

  • First time listening to the band...and they are sick as fuck! \m/

  • I didn't know these guys were still around! :-) Awesome! Greetings from Germany. Hopp Schwiiz!

  • que Bueno! Gracias.

  • About the so called "industrial". I think, it should not be accepted literally! It is only a way to generalize a band, or music style, just a formality, nothing more!

  • Some people have no clue about music, in general, but the need to drop their bullshit anywhere on! SAMEL should sound like Rammstein?? This is just hilarious! Sorry! There are not many bands on that music area, who keep in such a way an unique sound and style, like SAMAEL does!!!

  • The Video is very cool

  • @AldeasTylsanas actually, it's more likely to be the other way, but I agree with you, this music is unique.

  • More light in that Samael brings :D

  • This song is really interesting, you can see a lot of influence from others bands or genres, but the result is unique and really good :D

  • People can stand up for this all they want but the dude looks almost identical to the Disturbed vocalist regardless of what they say. Even if the music is miles apart, I still find it pretty funny.

  • Now THIS is what I call metal.

  • 44 people just got raped in the ears by Samael!

  • Fucking youtube, shows 2 secs then goes to a commercial. Don't they know that I mute and close the window everytime a commercial comes on?

  • Well, the comparisons to rammstein are absurd when applied to their earliest work, but are actually fairly valid on this album, particularly this track...and that's actually a good thing. This is one of my favorite albums of 2011 so far, and I think that Samael has nailed the industrial/symphonic black metal sound completely, perfected it. its like the best aspects of Rammstein and Dimmu Borgir combined. their use of orchestration is perfect, the songs are catchy. I loved it

  • 2:12 rap breakdown! aw HEYLL yea. :D

  • kick ass

  • Thats Darth Vader when he sings..

  • Samael formed in 1987. They were influenced by Laibach and Bathory. Rammstein and Amon Amarth copycats? I think you mean Rammstein and Amon Amarth are Samael copycats.

  • I saw Samael in Houston, Tx back in 1999. Dimmu Borgir opened for them. It was a shame that most of the crowd left after Borgir ended. Samael tore it up with a high energy show for about 30 people. Afterwards the band were happy to talk with fans, they marveled at the massive stack of CD's I had for them to sign. We talked with Xy and Mas for close to four hours until their bus driver yanked the chain. Some of the coolest guys you will ever meet that have never compromised their vision.

  • This is fucking badass. I've liked everything they've put out, pretty much, but the last three albums have been wonderful in different ways. Gonna buy this album!

  • NUCLEARBLAST KILLS VEVO

  • the metal version of the latest muse video?

  • ah ... samael... they still sounds good... but... i love the death...

  • PATRIC ULLAEUS RULES!

  • he looks like james hetfield haha.

  • Its good to see the evolution of some European Bands... Samael, Tiamat, Therion, Anathema, Paradise Lost, In Flames...Bands that you may dont like, but they are bands that made so much diffent stuff along their careers... that were an big influence to thousands of new metal bands....all very different.

  • @linkinn18 I find that is something that always happens with the better bands. It shows that they are actually inspired and talented. Other bands need to resort to recycling the same formula over and over.

  • Apparently some people need to read up on the history of metal. Samael formed in 1987 and were early innovators in black metal that heavily influenced bands that came after them (Dimmu Borgir, etc.) All the comparisons to Rammstein and Disturbed are completely absurd, not to mention comical. For those that doubt that Vorph's vocals are legit, all you need do is see them live. Doubters, know your sh*t before you spread it. It's all over your faces.

  • @ETPharaoh well they became industrial after all... nothing bad about it...

this band is freaking awesome... and I also like rammstein, so what's the problem here??

  • @alahad What, exactly, makes them industrial? Keys? The drum machine? To me, industrial consists of bands like Ministry. Samael sounds like nothing but Samael; they are quite unique. As for Rammstein... I shouldn't have to say anything. Comparing Rammstien to Samael is nothing but an insult to Samael.

  • @ETPharaoh thats your opinion ;)

  • @ETPharaoh I don't understand why you get mad with the comparison to Rammstein, Samael turned to industrial and it is still kick ass... Rammstein is industrial, that's all they have in common... I don't think both bands have NOTHING to do with each other... :P

  • @ETPharaoh I've never heard anyone compare this to Disturbed simply because all the eletronica in Disturbed is done by the guitarist, not a keyboard.

    Disturbed > SAMAEL tbh...

  • @ETPharaoh

Saw them live 2 years ago in Montreal, and i can tell you his voice was just as fine, if not better than into this vid.

  • @ETPharaoh %100 agree...research if you don't know. These guys are pioneers mate.

  • @ETPharaoh it sounds like it has an industrial vibe to it, but I dont care its awesome!

  • @ETPharaoh A lot of parts Vorph uses more than one vocal (what we would call "overlapping vocals"). I really like it. I hate when people who complain a lot when a singer do that and says that, if they can do the same at live shows, they suck. I think studio version AWAYS had to be better than live version. I think it should sound the best as possible.

Note: of course I consider some sources cheating at vocal recording, like modulators (deppending on the use).

  • yeey, they fixed it \m/

  • F**king perfect. Now to go buy it...

  • great song

  • The only thing that is more awesome than this is "Einherjer - Ironbound"... You will shit brix!

  • @malingmann LoL i know that

  • Vocals are too phlegmy for me, but the instrumentation is EPIC. I almost wish that there were no vocals to disctract from the wicked guitar work.

  • SAMAEL!!! \m/

  • I hate new Samael "OLD IS GOLD"

Samael become like an MTV's band

  • @WorldsChaos WTF?!, Samael never have appeared on MTV!

  • @TheReturnOfLelouch I said HE become "LIKE" MTV's band

  • @WorldsChaos dderp hurpy durpidy derp

  • @WorldsChaos it's your opinion if you hate them, but this song and there whole album is for sure not mtv music. First grow a pair of good metalmusic ears to hear what is brilliant or not

  • unholy shit this song is fuckin awesome, but why r the vocals this silent?

  • I loved it!!!

  • @MacNymph they sound alot like them

  • is that the original drummer or did they get some drum tech engineer

  • HA! the picture looks like charlie runkle. anyone?

  • Haha Rammstien wannabes? What a moron

  • @ThisGuyLovesMetal Fucking troll!!! Get a life!!!!

  • @shatteredMUNDUM makes no sense douche bag kill yourself

  • @ThisGuyLovesMetal oh yes, I´m stabbing miself with a knife

  • @shatteredMUNDUM thats good thats a slow way to die good choice

  • @ThisGuyLovesMetal I changed my mind, because that makes a lot of bloodstains. So I still alive.

  • @shatteredMUNDUM You know what sucks holding a argument on youtube? Even if you win your still retarded :)

  • @DJMetalstone oh, really? ok, you win :)

  • This is good!

  • I really liked the new album! excellent as always!

  • Amon Amarth Copycat much? not bad though

  • quick question, is that is actual vocals, or is he using something to synthesize his voice, if he actually sounds like, i would say its pretty badass,if he used something to synthesize it, then it aint really all that good.

  • @therockking111 Why should the effects used determine if something is good or not? It sounds good; that's all that matters.

  • @racosphinx I guess you don't like music that much then.

  • @PcCAvioN Sure I do; I just don't care that much about talent. I understand that at live shows things like vocal effects would matter, but on a studio recording, whatever sounds good is fine by me.

  • @racosphinx cuz effects arent actually a band singing. it effects music a lot. i dont like synthesized music.

  • 29 People didn't hear the awesomeness of this song, including his voice.

  • Trippy vocals.

  • Awesome!!!

  • Yesterday 300 clicks now 6.008 !! GREAT !

  • Well, the song is good. However, the video isn't very interesting - it's just the band playing this song. I guess the could've done better - with differrent cool dark images.

  • Lux Mundi is good album, not awesome, only good. Solar Soul and Above are (for me) better. Vocal is different, and i hope I hope that they will return times of "Blood Ritual".

    P.S.

    Sorry for my English :P

  • The vocals sound soooo weird...but I like them!

  • Lulzy Nuclear Blast signing is lulzy.

  • 1:28 angry howie mandel?

  • his voice sounds sick in here

  • @M0Lester808 LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! these guys are huge black metal pioneers these guys come from the 80 are very important and have done way more then rammsteind could ever do

  • Great Band!

  • this is not the vocalist of disturbed?... He looks.

  • @erreifel1 lol ,, singer of disturbed is bald nog facials hear except eyebrows got piercins through his lower lip compare to this guy

  • @erreifel1 lol not even close

  • @erreifel1 haha no its not :P

  • Haha that's hell of a multifunctional drummer! I need one at home.

  • Epic voice :D

  • Been listening to these guys for about 20 years now......and they still do not disappoint

  • now this is some good shit right here, no fucking metalcore, just straight up industrial. this is what we need.
